There are many models unbranded. The ones from latin America and Canada. AFAIK, all can be bootloader unlocked except Nextel Mexico.

If you're planning to get one in Greece, you're out of luck. The Moto X is only for sale in Latin America, US and Canada. UK is not getting it.
What matters most is the spectrum your network supports. Even if the phone was SIM-locked, you could just pay for a SIM-unlock online and leave it at that. If the hardware of the Moto X doesn't support the networks available in Greece, then it's pointless to buy either way.

I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand. All phones come with the retail ROM, if that's what you're asking. Just because the ROM title in the site doesn't say it's retail, doesn't mean it isn't.

That's the T-Mobile version of the phone.
The picture you posted is the tmobile version. You would have to buy it from the US then take it to Greece.

I just purchased a 1053 on eBay for use on T-Mobile. What's weird is that something about Brazil was showing on the phone (I'm in the U.S.). What is the latest firmware supposed to be for the XT1053? Thanks.

hi everyone! i have this doubt: if i buy an htc one "unlocked version" in us, will i be able to use it here in italy with my vodafone operator?
and the unlocked version is the same htc one that they sell here in europe? i mean, the at&t, verizon ecc versions have their own modding limits, the unlocked version can be modded as much as the european version?
thanks

stay away from Sprint and Verizon!! (CDMA phones, not GSM)
maybe this will help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2223236
hmm, the chart is down...
EDIT: here you go:
http://xda7.androidrevolution.org/db_mirror/ROMs/HTC_One/Variants.png
credits to @mike1986. and @Lizard
thanks a lot dude! so, basically, i have to check the model id of the european version and the model id of the us one. If they are the same, i can do the same modding, right?
then, with the "unlocked version", i can use my operator here in italy, can't i?
Edit: another question: does exist a 64gb unlocked version?

I think most US models will be PN0712000 whereas European ones will be PN071000 (the LTE models)... non LTE European models will be PN0711000
But what you should check is whether you'll be able to get LTE in Europe, using a US phone, because I don't know if the bands are compatible... maybe someone can give you a confirmation about that.
Thanks i will wait for some infos

Hey guys i was searching for factory images for my xt1068 dual sim indian version... i found them on the link below
http://motofirmware.com/files/category/38-titan/
there are two versions im confused abt them...wat is RETAILDSDSALL and RETDEALL??? i hav moto G xt 1068 Dual sim indian retail version...any help??? i hope this link wil help u too...
RETAILDSDSALL means RETAIL (I guess you know what is this), DSDS = Dual SIM, and ALL = I don't know what this mean, sorry, I guess is like 'it works in all countrys' something like that, I never tested Retail like this, so I don't know if it really works. And the second seems to be a retail from a country that I don't know the name, (sorry, couldn't find this in google), but if your XT1068 is from india, the firmware that you need is a Retail from india (obviously), or a 'retin' firmware, I don't know how is this in India, but here in my country I can use even a US firmware and it will works fine, but like I said, I don't know if in India is the same thing.

Motorola X4 Models :
-XT1900-01 USA Carrier Friendly / Project Fi Model
-XT1900-07 Amazon Alexa Model
I spoke to Motorola to find out model numbers and if the 01 Model is Bootloader Unlockable, and unfortunately it is not.
what? then how come is root only tested and working allegedly on xt1900-1? I'm getting so confused haha. I only know mine is xt1900-6.
The bootloader is unlockable on the XT1900-01
I want to get this phone, but I'm afraid of getting the wrong phone for Verizon and getting stuck with a locked bootloader phone.

Yes hope for the best.
From what we've been able to discern from testing is just the opposite of what the CS agent told you. The Amazon version is the one you can't unlock the bootloader (probably because they are afraid you can disable the lock screen ads that way). Nobody's paid Amazon yet to remove them (apparently you can pay the difference between the "with ads" version and the regular retail price if you want Amazon to remove them), so we don't know if that enables bootloader unlock or not.

I'm pretty certain there is no Verizon version of the X4.
AFAIK, in the US there are three versions:
Amazon Prime Ads
Android One
Unlocked for all major carriers

I didn't mean to imply that any version of the X4 would not work on Verizon. My wife has the US Unlocked X4 and we use Verizon.
I mean to say that Verizon does not sell the X4. There is no Verizon branded X4, that I know of.

Follow the instructions on this website (to see if it can be unlocked) - You don't have to actually unlock the device.

Have the unlocked version from Amazon, want to convert to T-Mo firmware so US Cellular roaming works properly, along with faster updates.
Don't see the US T-Mo firmware on Sammobile. Is it available anywhere or not yet?

The unlocked software version of the device doesn't support some feature like the ok nest he listed that he wants to make sure works. So flashing it to T-Mobile software ensures all T-Mobile features will work correctly and fully.
