You flash and tell me. These builds are 100% unofficial and I build these for my own personal use. Lemme know what you run into, and perhaps I'll fix 'em if they bug me too. (or maybe I won't care one bit!)

There is Official AOKP for the VS980? If there is, I'm sorry. I missed it, I'll pull this down.
It's in the original android development forum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2546994

Oh idk that he's not building for the vs980 any more but if you look at the official thread all the vs980 builds say unofficial and last time I looked there hadn't been a new nightly since Nov 28 or 30 or something. And now he's been releasing 4.4 aokp builds for about a week but only for d800. What I was trying to get at was that even if there is an official aokp thread for vs980 its looking like rohan has an att version so that's gonna be his priority. Because of that the op shouldn't feel obliged to close this thread or stop building just cuz there's an "official" thread as it seems like he could, even by releasing a build once a week, keep the vs980 much more up to date with new changes the aokp guys make than the official version
He's probably only building for the d800 because maybe that's the device he owns? That's what devs typically do. I imagine they wanna get it more stable and features added back in before they release builds for all the G2s anyway. But as far as unofficial goes, I think its a great idea if he has time. Regardless if there's an official or not.
Thanks for the ROM tucstwo. I enjoyed your work for the RAZR. Good to see you working stuff for the G2 now.

Yea he bought a d800 on swappa w the loot from that bounty thread or what ever,
Yea he bought the AT&T version because it has LTE and GSM bands so it should be easier to port across to the other models. He's focusing on the D800 because he has it in his hands. Once he gets that working, he'll port to other devices. Verizon VS980 is high on the list because several of the AOKP members have the VS980. So they are actively working on it.

Are you using 2.6.3.4? I was having issues with that version on several Roms. Try switching back to 2.6.3.3 this should solve the problem.
For those that are interested, Rohan (who is indeed still building official AOKP for VS980) released a new 4.4.2 build. Right now it's essentially stock Android - no ROM control yet.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2546994
Anyone on Verizon able to use it? Wouldn't boot past start screen for me.
LG G2 VS980 (VZW)
Im loving the rom so much but this camera issue is killing me...i installed a LG camera that i found here and still my videos dont play...and the one that comes with aokp keeps asking me for SD card...that is my only issue. What have u guys done to get the camera working, thank

AOKP M6 REVERT
CM9
**CM9 has now integrated the mod in the latest nightlies and only a key edit is needed now**
With a root explorer, open /system/usr/keylayout/cypress-touchkey.kl and change SEARCH to APP_SWITCH the reboot.
You can also going into /system/usr/keylayout/cypress-touchkey.kl and edit APP_SWITCH to SEARCH to restore search button.
Disclaimer: These may or may not work with ROM's based on CM9 or AOKP. If you try, prepare the revert with android.policy.jar pulled from your ROM zip framework.
CM9 nightlies are subject to change, which may cause incompatibilities. I will try to update weekly, but please post if it doesn't work for a specific nightly and I will try to update ASAP. Also I only have a Vibrant so I cannot test for all devices.
Does not work with ICS Slim right now. Stock ICS work in progress.

That +100. Once the initial rom is done, alls necessary is do the same exact things for the other phones.
To Eveyrone
If some of ya'll had any idea how easy it is to do we'd have a lot more roms available. For most roms, all ya gotta do is add in the Dev Team's CM repos, maybe tweak a few makefiles in device or device-common (just reference the SGS3), go to vendor/whatever, copy the SGS3 files and reword them for us, add us to the vendor/whatever lunch script....that's it. That's how almost all of us are doing the custom roms. I suggest the SGS3 because it has the same board as us (msm8960) and you want to reference a device as close to us as possible. What's cool is the X is supposed to have the msm8960 as well as being the same resolution as us....X better ship with a 4.3+ kernel that Hashcode, Epinter, Dhacker, and the gang can use.
Cool.. Any screenshots of this ROM? People who have flashed how is the battery life?? Thanks a lot for the ROM dude..

Probably this one or aokp. Used to be aokp no question... But slim has won my heart recently... Been running it for a week. Longest I have run a rom in ages.
I'm having some trouble getting Gapps to run on this ROM. I'm using the 7.8 version, and the Gapps from Slimroms for version 7.x. In particular, the Play Store keeps saying that there's no connection, even when there is - I can use the browser.
Any suggestions?

Up until just moments ago, that did happen; however, there is a new build which should fix that issue. It was the updater_script failing due to a script missing. That has since been fixed, and it should flash now with no issue at all.

No. Omni views all third-party firmware as a part of the same community and is not meant to be a replacement, simply another member of the greater ROM community.

Booted fine for me
Sent from my LG-VS980
The ROM is really smooth and fine. Thank you very much. Boots and works great on my d802. The only thing I have discovered is that the move to ART does not work. Bootloops during App Optimization and after some loops, it is booting but again with Dalvik as runtime. Everything else is simply great work. thanks a lot!

kltespr?
I flashed yesterdays build and its running fast and smooth but it is still built with the 8mp camera. I believe cm is being built with a 16mp camera. I used Google camera on worked perfectly, no fcs.
Everything else I've tried have worked perfectly.
I'll keep u guys posted on my findings.

10/26 build working perfectly. Using the Google camera and not a single fc!
Does this work with the octo-core SM-G900H? I wasn't sure from the info in the OP.

I believe it does but I will check with the AOKP team.
Edit: Still waiting to hear more info but based on the info I've found it likely will not. Worth a shot though.
Edit 2: Definitely won't work. That phone has an Exynos CPU.

Is there a way to check which roms do and do not work with this CPU, so I don't bother people by asking in each rom thread? I couldn't tell if I was missing a detail in the OP for this thread or not.

Basically klte means Qualcomm only. Unless the thread specifically states it's for Exynos (the two are not compatible) you can assume it's not.
AOKP was my favorite rom on the S4
And now on my S5 really this is the only rom that works for me without any problem at all, very fast and stable
