Hi folks!
My brand new 4.4.2 KitKat deodexed stock I9195XXUCNF7 first release is available.
Warning for users with old bootloader (I9195XXUAzzz firmwares):
My ROM will not work with this old bootloader. Users reported WiFi connectivity problems and random reboots.
To check which bootloader U have, type following commands in Terminal Emulator:
Code:
su
getprop "ro.bootloader"
Users on Knox-free bootloader should download this and flash the unpacked content from Odin.
Package contains NF7 modem (NON-HLOS.bin), Trust Zone (tz.mbn) and Resource Power Management (rpm.mbn) components.
With this stuff the connectivity and Settings app FC problems should be solved.

Unable to turn on NFC issue quick fix - Just rename the file nfc_nci.MSM8960.so under /system/lib/hw to nfc_nci.msm8960.so (change all to lowercase) and now it should work!
If the above fails, download this, unzip and replace the file + restart.

After install from CWM and before reboot, CWM will ask whether it should root the device. You can choose yes (which adds only the su binary) and install SuperSU from Play store

In case you NEVER installed stock MJ7 or newer via Odin, you have NO Knox bootloader on your phone and you can install my deodexed ROM without any risk.

ladislav i am new to this device, so don't know which base came first...but according to the nomenclature which sammy follows MJ7 should be newer than MK3...is this the reason that we can use this deodexed base with out any fear of KNOX bootloader???

MK3 is newer, came out in november ("K" means the 11th month)
MJ7 came out in october ("J" means the 10th month)
Whatever. Both has the new bootloader with Knox.
My ROM will work also on the top of this bootloader, but your warranty will be void when you flash it. That's all.

i ll be getting my phone tomorrow, so i ll download this rom and will flash on top of 4.2.2 (didn't know which base will it have), will that create any problem relating to warranty bit of bootloader????

Before flash of any non official thing you can check following:
1. Goto dialer and type following: *#1234#
This will show firmware information, something like this:

2. Goto Download mode (Power off. Hold VolumeDown+Home+Power keys. Next press VolumeUp) and when the bootloader is the new (Knox-enabled) one, you will see this:

If there is NO line "KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0" on the display, you have the old bootloader. In this case never install stock MJ7, MK3 or newer ROM. Also in this case when you install my ROM, the "Current binary" and "System status" lines will go to "Custom". But you can go back to Official any time by flashing a stock ROM via Odin.
If you have the new bootloader, you can also install my ROM, but the line "KNOX WARRANTY VOID" will go to "0x1" and this is irreversible.

You must unzip the package first and open as AP in Odin the modem.tar.md5 file.
Before installation Odin checks the file and should report following:

CSC is same as in BroodComb alpha you have every language etc i needed to make that because this is production version not some Beta that's why i needed some time to build it

Will there be a CWM version uploaded later? I will sure try this out, but its much easier to ad and delete apk`s from a zip file ,also changing .png and so on. please consider.

As it seems the file is somehow corrupted I at least hope the system.img can be pulled from it, then it's no biggie to make a CWM-flashable version. We'll see in about 50mb..

Just came to say thank you for Darkaman's work, even though i dont have this device
Would love to try but can't get it to flash. Have redownloaded twice and confirmed md5, but when I select the zip in CWM I get "Error in N8020-XXBMC3-MultiCSC-deodexed.zip" "(Status 6)" "Installation aborted."
Any ideas?

Modem and Kernel is from Schweden ROM... if someone have trouble with that i can post other modems. But i think it must work.

Good work! But i must return to rooted Stock ROM XXBMA7. I can not connect to my Allcast-Share Dongle to morroring my Screen to HDMI Display. I can not Reset the Flashcounter and Custom-Status with Triangle Away App. This is importend for Allshare.

Mine is having problems as well. The APN settings refuse to connect, and as bearer I have undefined, Lte and ehrpd. None of these work at all.
Will re-flash and report back, but looks like there may be some bugs.
I have a gt-n8020 on Hi 4g in Amsterdam. The settings are all correct.

Reloaded the stock rom and all fine. Double checked the settings in there. seems that the 4g APN isnt being read from somewhere.
I have the screenshots of the settings though. Will re-load later and insert that APN to see if it works! now i dont have SU, but can easily remedy that!
I also have the extracted modem bin if that helps?

Flashing using CWM is ok for me as I always try flashing all E120L rom at this moment. When the time comes to flash my cooked rom the status 0 occur. From my research it is come from the updater or update script.
The way I do is just a simple cook. Using UF11 rom:
1. In Kitchen. After download and extract the package I create additional file in /kitchen/tools/samsung_files/model_variants/galaxy_s2/E120L.
2. After setup the working folder, add root and add busybox, first I converting updater-script to update-script.
3. Then removing the unwanted apps.
4. Converting update-script to updater-script.
5. Lastly build the rom.
If you can correct and advice me it will be appreciated. This rom cooking things is new for me to understand the step.

Thinking the kitchen is not support for SII HD LTE Korea (not the same SII international)
So you can use updater-binary but change somethings in updater-updater-script (2 files from others build for E120L/K)

Thank you @dungphp for sharing your ROM. I am in Korea and will test + I will also have the opportunity to test it in South Africa and compare it with stock MD2 and let you know in March when I return.. Will you develop anything based on the MK1 ROM? (still no tegrak kernel for MK1)
Also, have you tested CM and MIUI ROMS on the E120K? Any feedback/comments/recommendations? I have tried every baseband/CM/MIUI combination, but I always get random silent voice (incoming and outgoing).

I have the same positive experience - I have been using this ROM for a few weeks and it really is an awesome ROM. Is there a recommended baseband to select when flashing? There are two options - "amss" and "mdm" and i really wasn't sure which one to select.

TIPS:
Settings -> Wallpaper FC's!? That's normal... because you have to flash the Samsung Wallpaper picker add-on with the XtreStoLite Aroma Add-on Package for this (see post #2) (This Package will be available SOON!)
The aim of this ROM is to keep it as close to the stock firmware as possible. Because this way the ROM is the most stable you can get, and also you don't have any mods that can have influence on the performance and/or battery life of the ROM.
If you're experiencing ANY issue, then first make sure that you're on the latest bootloader/firmware (see post #4 for latest one for your model), and that you've done an clean install (data/factory reset before installing the ROM).
All the Google Play Store apps are NOT included in the ROM (or Aroma add-on package), you can download those by yourself in the Play Store.

How-to Install:
Root & Install custom recovery: (Only needed if you haven't done this yet)
- Flash CF-Root for your model with Odin
- Make sure you have an custom recovery installed (I advise you to use TWRP) (This trips your KNOX warranty counter!)
Install the ROM
- Make sure you're on an recent Bootloader & Firmware
- Copy the ROM zip file to your internal of your Phone
- Do a Data/Factory reset first in your recovery
- Start the installation
- Reboot
- Enjoy the Rom!
I would NOT recommend to restore system apps or app data of your apps with Titanium backup, only the apps themselves.
Restoring App data or System apps can cause problems with the apps. (This applies to any ROM!)

You can do this procedure any time and it won't wipe anything from your device! You will keep your current ROM, Kernel & Recovery after flashing this.
Do exactly step-by-step the following things:
- Unplug your Phone (IMPORTANT!)
- Turn your Phone completely off (This is IMPORTANT)
- Start your Phone in download mode on this way: Press Vol down + Home + Power buttons till the screen turns on, press Vol Up to continue (Only enter download mode on this way, otherwise it won't work!!)
- Now Connect your phone to your computer (DO NOT connect your phone before this step, otherwise it won't work!)
- Open Odin 3.10.6 on your PC (Make sure you're using this version of Odin, other versions won't work correctly maybe!)
- Click on the 'BL' button, and load in your BOOTLOADER tar.md5 file for your model
- Click on the 'CP' button, and load in your MODEM tar.md5 file for your model
- DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE (you can brick your phone if you choose other settings in Odin)
- Click on the Start button
- Wait till it finish flashing.
- Your phone reboots automatically after flashing.
- Always check after flashing: Settings -> About device -> Baseband; that should show the same modem build number noted as here.
And also check if the bootloader got flashed correctly by downloading an AndroidTerminal app, and enter this command: getprop ro.boot.bootloader
NOTE: Sometimes the modem/baseband needs to be flashed 2 or even 3 times till it will get flashed correctly.

I moved over the wallpaper picker cause it seems like more of a menu option than bloatware, but other than that, it's great .

thanks for pointing this out. data was working before we made a slight adjustment before uploading the ROM, i will revert that change and get it back. sorry for the trouble. I hadn't noticed due to being connected to WiFi.

Yeah apparently, but it's probably missing app contents or something cause it dies when you try to start it.

I choose to leave T-Mobiles unlock app included. This will make it easy for some users to unlock and is a very small application.
We are working on correcting the APN issue now.

First of all, im not responsible for anything that may happen to your device! By installing custom recovery, automatically voids you warranty and set your knox to 0x1 so if you dont care, continue!

Version 1.1.x - Stands for De-odexed system on DOB5. Will receive every new update and in every update, i will try to port them in small flashable zips for you to be easier to upgrade
Version 1.2.x - Stands for De-odexed system on DOD3. The same as V1.1.x for the updates
This rom will be completely yours!. You will decide what to change and what to add. I will try to make polls that you will vote about the new feature, and please write on this topic your thoughts and what you want to be ported.
I will reject everything that slows down the device!
When all i9506 move on to DOD3 or DOD1, the development of DOB5 will stop.
I tripped Knox Warranty to 0x1 in order to be able to develop a rom for Galaxy s4 i9506 because in rom development there are not a lot of active projects. Im doing this for you! Nobody told me to do this! If you like this rom you can always help the development by testing it,and writing your opinion. And of course you can buy me a beer by pressing the donate me button, in order to be more happy to develop this rom during this hot summer!(In greece we have summer right now!)

Installation guide
1. Must have installed (For v1.0.x and V1.1.x DOB5, for V1.2.x DOD3) firmware before installing this, or you will result without wifi and sound!
2. Flash stock System from odin of full flash the firmware(flashing should include bl,ap,cp,csc)
3. Copy the rom to the root of your sdcard/internal storage and the secc.zip and whatever mod fron post #2 you may want to install
4. Flash TWRP recovery via odin and boot to TWRP
5. It is better to wipe your data but not essential
6. Flash the rom and after it completes, all the mods you want with what order you want
7. Wait for it to boot(leave it for 10 minutes)
8. In case of getting System stopped responding, hold power button until phone completely reboots(shows Galaxy S4 screen) and it will boot normally
9. (If you installed on a formatted phone)On diagnostic data, click undestand and No Thanks

General installation instructions
Download zip and flash it via TWRP!
Samsung Browser installation
You will need Root Explorer.Flash the zip, and then Extract the zip and copy the libsbrowser.so to system/lib/libsbrowser.so overwriting the existing file, and set permissions 644 to the copied file.

Download Sqlite editor.apk and open Settings storage -> settings.db -> system
Search for ripple, and click on id 556 lockscreen_ripple_effect. Cick the edit and :
Value 1 = Ripple effect
Value 2=Light Unlock effect
Value 3=Particle effect
Value 11=Abstract Tiles
Enable 4G(Uknown reason why dissapeared from settings)

but for good performance and battery life we need DOB5 baseband for flash
You can fully flash a DOB5 firmware from Sammobile(With wipe everything) and you will be ok. My phone was at DOA6 but i flashed DOB5 From Slovakia and everything was fine
But if you are on kitkat, then i dont know

UPSM may delay, because it needs a lot of work and coding of services.jar in order to work as it should But im trying to port it!

This rom uses stock kernel, but in system I've deleted all knox related apps. Have you found something that I forgot?

You can flash arter kernel it works with this rom but I always believe stock is better. Flash arter Kerner for touchwiz and get rid of this seandroid
