If you're installing a custom recovery then you have unlocked your bootloader which means your warranty is already void (If LG decide that you have done something to cause the problem).

Im not aware of anyone bricking this (non-DEV version) phone, LG's download mode is pretty low level, the kdz packages also contain a boot loader so you would find it difficult to irreversibly brick this phone
Thanks Lads i got it working

It would be nice of you to tell how did you do it, so that if anyone else has the same problem can solve it with a quick search instead of starting another thread

This says unbricking? sorry i am noob..
but asume this is some sort of unroot, i can do al the steps in the treadh
with my custom ROM and it will come out like a LG phone, i can send to LG
to repear it?
That method will completely reset your phone. It means it will unroot your phone. Just follow the step and then after that you can send it into service centre. You can also use that method if you experience bootloop or if you brick your OB.

The LG smartflash tool will return your phone to the state that it came from the factory. It erases all memory, boot, recovery (where root is) sectors and the rom that was currently installed.
Then it installs the official LG boot, recovery and system sectors, leaving little trace of any software modifications.
If you have the original SD card in ur phone, I would either take it out or format it, before sending it for repair, just to make sure they have no excuse to void your warranty.

Hi, guys
I'm in a big problem, since from last week the power jack of my O2X don't work.
Since my phone is in warranty time, I can send it to the SAT, but, and that's my big problem, I have to flash the stock and unroot it, but I can't since I can't connect the phone to the pc via USB.
Is there any way to nvflash the phone from the SD, or via wifi or BT ???
Any idea will be very apprecited,
Thanks in advance,
Greetings
and if you flash this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1617458
you only have to copy the rom using wifi or download it on your 2x

How it got bricked:
I managed to install root, but then I tried to flash the custom recovery, when I restarted the phone, It got stuck at boot logo.
I can still get into the stock recovery, I can use adb shell and see the filesystem. I was using 4.1.2, I think I might need to flash again the stock rom, but I don't know how. Can anyone help please?

I'm sorry if I'm asking something terribly obvious, but I've bought my phone in amazon and neither my country or carrier are listed there, so, I don't know what to flash, will it break my phone if I flash something wrong? I would like to flash something from spain so I can use my native language

U can flash each version of kdz file you want.
I can only get into de SW Upgrade mode when I plug the phone with the battery on it, Is it really important to do it with the battery off?

Hi - I was flashing a rom and somehow soft bricked the phone. It's stuck on the custom startup Samsung screen (phone was rooted of course).
Odin recognizes it so I'm downloading MI9 and going to flash to return to stock.
I'm assuming that should work.
Am I doing anything wrong or should that fix it?
Thanks!

There is a thread in Q And A or General. Use the MJ5 restore. Even if your on MI9 you'll be ok. It will just make it MJ5 and all will be good. Follow instructions to a T. I used it several times now with no issue's.
Hello all,
I just flashed CloudyFa's cloudstock rom with the patched kernel and it booted up.
No radio.
So I go on forum and Micromod777 posted a baseband which should work on it and I do a full wipe, flash cloudy's rom, the kernel and then the baseband
Rebooted and black screen of death.
Just a vibration to confirm that it is booted up
Am I screwed?
Any possible solutions?

Try plugging it into linux and seeing if it'll recognize it? If you don't have adb or downloader mode you're probably screwed...

I don't see why not but if you don't even see the LG logo it's probably hard bricked.

It is. :crying:
Right now it is a brick. I am getting a replacement soon.
But do you know if there are any JTAG/ JIG methods available?

I haven't seen any you could try searching the forums for it, I got hard bricked by freegee a while back so I hope all goes well
These phones usually don't brick too easily. If you can get into download mode then you probably aren't bricked.
Maybe try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471370
In the future don't mess with the baseband if you don't know what your doing.
Edit:
If you can't get download mode. There is still a chance but you must use linux.
This guide is for a D8XX so DO NOT USE ANY OF THE FILES LISTED THERE:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
These should be the files for the VS980 12B, that I quickly just found in the same directory:
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/VS980/Stock_Firmware/12B_Partitions
In theory it should work, but I have not tested it. Use this at your own risk as a last resort!
Here's the post where I saved my vs980 from a brick. Couldn't get to system, recovery, or download. It's likely the same guide Ploxorz just linked.
