[Q] Xperia V - Remove JyRo deep sleep tweak
Hye xperia V user, i got a question here.
Is there anyway i can remove or uninstall JyRo deep sleep tweak.
I got a problem after flashing his tweak, whenever I wake up my phone from sleep, my current max cpu always got changed to 1000MHZ and min to 200MHZ.
And for my governor it will changed to ondemand and noop for my IO Scheduler.
Maybe this is what JyRo set for his deep sleep tweak and this setting will not change back to my setting from before sleep.
So, I have to set it back to my old setting every time I wake it up.
So, before this I will not flash his Deep Sleap tweak. But right now, Yash Rulz included JyRo deep sleep tweak in his "[DEC 04][ROM Z1][UB/LB] ★ Pure-X-Blaster™ - 14.1G.2.257 ★ |> Fast | Stable" rom. I like his rom very much and want to use it.
Is there any way I can remove the Deep sleep tweak or maybe, there is something wrong from my side that I do.
Sorry for my English, it is messy.

Pretty easy.. Delete any init.d script from your PXB update zip that is also in Jyros patch
Sent from my LT25i using xda app-developers app

thanks for the reply.
I tried to delete the same files that got in the JyRos patch first but the lagging and rebooting is still there.
Then I check back the file in the init.d folder, and I can see that there is 2 to 3 scripts about ram, 2 to 3 scripts with the same name that got either alphabets or numbers in front of it and script that might be do the same things.
Can this be redundant to the system???
So, instead of deleting JyRos patch, I delete all the script in the init.d folder and you know what, i got back my butter smooth phone.
Maybe starting from here onwards, I will just choose what script that I want to use and apply it manually instead of receiving all the things that has been given to me...
Sorry Yash Rulz, I modified your "★ Pure-X-Blaster™ - 14.1G.2.257 ★" for my own use. Don't get mad at me.

[ROM][STABLE][DEEP IDLE] Jonas Hendrickx' ROM

This is a ROM currently being tested for deep idle. I made it to make sure issues can only be caused by custom kernels. More features will come very soon. Just let me know how this ROM runs the Deep Idle mod from Ezekeel.
This ROM doesn't have any fancy things yet. But I tend to add more and more things as I see they are stable.
This ROM will guarantee Deep Idle to work on my settings! Feel free to overclock further if necessary
Features:
-Deodexed
-Rooted
-Zipaligned
-Tweaked
-Cleaned unnecessary applications which are downloadable in Android Market
-init.d support
-Busybox 1.19
-Stable deep idle support
Coming soon
- Ultra fast GPS (preset for European users, can be changed to other countries easily!)
News
- 72 hours and no crashes, freezes or reboots yet with deep idle enabled (posted at 9:00 am 8 December 2011)
Devices
-I9020T
-I9023
-I9020A
Installation
1. Boot into CWM
2. Install official stock GRK39F for best results with deep idle
3. Do not leave CWM
4. Install my ROM immediately over it
5. Install latest GLaDOS kernel, or any other deep idle kernel you like.
6. Wipe data/cache/dalvik
7. Boot your Nexus S
8. Download NSTools from Market
9. Deep idle should now run very stable
Enabling Deep Idle
Flash the kernel of your choice if you want deep idle. This ROM is guaranteed to have deep idle work on your device. If deep idle doesn't work then it is most likely a kernel issue or your device can't handle deep idle. If your phone was having problems with deep idle before on every ROM you tried. Try this one.
Always make sure that when you try deep idle first:
If your Nexus S is more idle than being used:
Freq range: 100-1000
Governor: lazy
Deep Idle: On
Maxfreq: On (Make sure this setting is turned on when using lazy, else your device will run unstable)
Unstable ROMs list for me
- NSCollab: Crashes, freezes and reboots on lockscreen with deep idle enabled when turning on the screen.
- MIUI.us: Giving me random reboots with deep idle and maxfreq enabled
Possible reasons why deep idle is unstable without screenoff_maxfrequency
When using lazy governor. The device stays idle at 100mhz (with its corresponding voltages) and will boost to 1000 mhz or something else when the device becomes active. When deep idle is enabled and the device is in deep idle mode. The device may seem to 'forget' or be 'slower' updating the voltages. When going 1000mhz at the voltage of 100mhz, this will result in a freeze and a reboot. When forcing max frequency with the screen off, this is also avoided. So the device might never freeze and reboot.
When using conservative governor. There may be reboots. But the conservative governor goes up in small steps: 100-200-400-...
So the conservative governor is possibly stable. I even believe 100 mhz and 200 mhz are using the same voltages.
Now this is just a theory I am having. Feel free to have your own.
Coffee fund/beer fund
Feel free to donate if you like my work. But remember I didn't do anything special YET here. More features will come soon! IF you are a developer and you wish to help me on some features, you are welcome. We are a community and should help each other.

Howdo I enable init.d on nexus s ?
I start from GRK39F
From my experience with GT-S5660 was to do this in the install-recovery.sh
How is this done on our phone?
My ROM is ready for release in this thread. I only want init.d to work.

Do I have to do something special to get the init.d folder to work first? Or does it work right from the start?
I know I have to place a file in that folder to start the script automatically. I wonder how to get it to work on the Nexus S. For the Galaxy Gio I had to do a work around in the install-recovery.sh
The Busybox runparts must be enabled in the ramdisk, in the init.rc file. Use the dsixda Android kitchen for it.

Make file permissions like the other files in init.d folder and they always will work each boot. Ofcourse you have to use root explorer and you have to make the folder r/w with it.
service sysinit /system/bin/logwrapper /system/xbin/busybox run-parts /system/etc/init.d

should i remove the word 'disabled' to get it work? I have these lines.
But I don't see my script working which worked in CM7 NSCollab

Apparently it was working.

I'm moving the thread to the General section where you can continue this thread.
Request the devs from other site to post it here or alternatively ask for their permission to allow you to post it here.
If they give you the permission then you can edit your first post, Edit the title & make this thread a single point where all users can access ROMs which are available on other sites.
Just remember to provide download links here in this thread & that all the downloads should be accessible without the need to register.
Best of luck for taking forward the above idea !
Cheers !
I check the ROM you are talking about. Will it support English language? Any known bugs with that ROM?
Ok, I ll do it myself. I ll reopen the thread in ROM section!

It boots but GSM doesn't work (returns error while searching network). Everything else seems fine.
Tested on Beanstalk 4.4.4.001 which is based on CM11. I'll test on CM11 later if it's necessary.

Working flawlessly on Carbon ROM :good:
Performance has increased at least 2x.
Just one issue, GPU overclock does not stick, it resets to 400 after a while. (I use trickster mod)
PS: Doesn't work with PAC ROM.
Also works with Beanstalk( Fastboot flashed the boot.img)

@nikhil18, i cant express my grattitude for your kernel, i confirmed alls working on latest AICP 4.4.4 KK, has everything i wanted, super fast, response is just simply amazing, i do also however face clocks reverting over time even when i manually clock via system files, but probably os doing it, thank you so much finally a KK kernel that supports everything.. If i can do anything to contribute or help please let me know, will bug report in a couple of days.

[KERNEL] [4.4] Werewolf kernel v008 [15/02/2015] SM-T210(R) and T211

Hey guys
As you already might have read in either the CM11 dev thread or the Q&A section, I am working on a custom kernel for our T210(R) and T211. It's still in a pretty early stage, but the current build is fully stable, so I thought why not share it
As I'm pretty new to this community, a few words about myself: My (only) device I have been working on is the LG Optimus 4x HD, for which I also made a custom kernel (also named werewolf kernel, who would have thought of that ). Me and 2 other fellow RDs were able to "switch" many blobs with the ones from grouper, which fixed many, many issues we were facing in 4.4 with the stock 4.1 blobs. I am the official maintainer of namelessROM and vanir for the 4x HD, and am also compiling GummyROM, LegoROM, unofficial CM 11 (using grouper blobs) and SlimKat for the 4x HD on a nightly base. And as soon as we have a proper device tree for our tab, I'm sure I can port the Tab3 to all those ROMs
Now, enough chit chatting, let's talk about the kernel
It's based on @ketut.kumajaya's blackhawk kernel (thanks again, mate ) From v004 on we are based on official KitKat sources, with some additions such as:
Features:
Various network tweaks
Entropy tweaks
I/O speed improvements
cortex a9 and neon omtimizations
Added frandom
Tweaked vm dirty ratios
Dynamic read-ahead values
Added I/O schedulers: ROW, SIO, BFQ, FIOPS, V(R)
Optimized AES and SHA1 routines
Added CPU governors: Lionheart, Adaptive, Intellidemand, Hotplug, Hyper
Reduced RAM usage from logger
Updated lowmemkiller
Overclocked to 1.420 GHz by default
Disabled vsync for better 2D performance
Overclocked GPU up to 624MHz (default 416MHz)
Custom user voltage control (CPU)
Undervolted by default (-25mV)
S2W and DT2W (WIP)
Fast Charging
KSM
Bugs:
You tell me!
Installation:
Download the kernel from HERE
Reboot into recovery (recommended to make a nandroid)
Flash the kernel zip
Recommended to wipe /cache
Reboot and enjoy!
And remember to remove phservice if you want to change some CPU/GPU settings yourself

Tweaks and other stuff
Since v002, we have an updated lowmemorykiller. It behaves a bit snappier than the old one, also with the default minfree values. However, in case you like to tweak your device a bit to make it even more snappy (like me ), I tweaked the minfree values a bit to slightly increase the free RAM without really affecting the multitasking experience. The script can be found in the attachment. All you need to do is to extract the script and place it in your /system/etc/init.d/ folder and that's it. The values will be automatically set on boot.
UV interface
The min possible voltage is 1000mV for now, and the max one is 1400mV. If you want me to lower the min voltage, please let me know.
Also, please note, that the voltage has to be changed in 12.5mV steps. If you apply for example 1110mV, it will be rounded down to 1100mV.
Fast Charge interface
The main interface is inside /sys/kernel/fast_charge/*
/sys/kernel/fast_charge/force_fast_charge (rw)
0 - disabled (default)
1 - use custom mA configured through the sysfs interface (see below)
/sys/kernel/fast_charge/ac_charge_level (rw)
rate at which to charge when on AC (1.8A to 2.3A)
/sys/kernel/fast_charge/usb_charge_level (rw)
rate at which to charge when on USB (0.5A to 1.0A)
/sys/kernel/fast_charge/failsafe (rw)
0 - disabled - allow anything up to 2.3A to be used as AC / USB custom current (USE WITH CAUTION!)
1 - enabled - behaviour as described above (default)
/sys/kernel/fast_charge/version (ro)
display fast charge version information
New kmsg layout
From v008 onwards the kmsg looks a tiny bit different. Instead of displaying the time since boot, it logs the actual time and date.
Now, you may ask yourself: "does that any good?" Sure it does. When you encounter an issue and grab a log, you can send it my way saying "the issue happened at 15:35". It is way harder to find out the exact time (in seconds) since the device booted, right?
When changing the CPU gov, you might want to keep THIS (4.1) or THIS (4.4) in mind
Changelog:
v008 [15/02/15]
- Disabled zcache
- Added KSM (including deferred timer to save battery)
- Tweaked zRAM
- New kmsg log layout (see 2nd post for more details)
- Fixed kernel version in settings
- Disabled S2W and DT2W by default
When you flash this version, please wipe cache, otherwise bad things could happen
v007 [08/12/04] RIP Beth
- Slightly more RAM from logger

sorry guys, I just found the issue... my last commit breaks the GPU module so it doesn't compile, doesn't get copied over into the zip and so does not get replaced on your system, but the new kernel cannot load the stock module as I used another defconfig name...
Will be fixed ASAP
EDIT: Fixed and uploaded

You can check if there is OC available by installing "No-Frills CPU Control" from the google play store
a question about toolchain
@laufersteppenwolf
hi, i would like to know which toolchain you used to build this kernel, a direct link to it would be helpful.
also, using the supplied defconfig can i make [defconfig] and then make -j# or are there additional things to do?
i build kernel for tab3 10 fine but setting up my system for sm-t210 is proving stubborn. there is another project going on
that i would like to learn from and help with, your help would be appreciated.
thank you for reading.

I do not think so, as I'm using the ramdisk from t210, which most likely isn't compatible with t211, and sure not with 4.4.2

for this build, I used CM's 4.6 toolchain, but that'll change soon
I will also push the build script and modules to github ASAP, so just wait for that, as setting up the modules and stuff isn't the most pleasant thing to do
Werewolf is not playing lol so what your saying is that we will be having cm 11 and aosp all the good stuff soon ?

I've used this kernel for 2 days. I have noticed the screen flickers on the 2nd day and while watching a movie (while plugged in) the tab was battery drained battery was 30% when I started watching. Can others confirm this?
Goodside. Battery life is enhanced and performance is the same. Nice work on this

I was experiencing the exact same flickering myself as well, but on stock kernel
This flickering isn't kernel related, but ROM related. Sammy must have screwed up the auto backlight handling, as it only happens at some certain brightness values
No ir blaster
Edit: This is what I get when I open peel smart remote

[Z5/Z5C/Z5P][MOD][+GUIDES][N] Endurance Reborn Essentials v1.3 final - Upd 2018-02-26

ENDURANCE REBORN ESSENTIALS for Z5 Series
- This MOD will modify the system parameters of your Z5 for ONLY ONE PURPOSE: to increase BATTERY LIFE
- Only battery tweaks, only useful tweaks (tons of tweaks is not the good strategy...)
- No performance tweaks (most of time, performance tweaks result in decreasing battery life...)
- Marginal loss of performance, device still smooth and reactive
- Very significant gain of battery life
- +useful guides in posts 2 & 3
This mod has been developped, tested and optimized with @HaoZeke's crDroid (LOS based) rom, but it works perfectly on stock based roms (I use Kryptonian at the moment) and probably on any other roms.
Features:
- build.prop battery tweaks (without modifying build.prop file)
- VM battery tweaks
- Innovative and effective memory management (LMK settings)
- ROW I/O Scheduler (best ratio performance/battery drain)
- I/O tweaks
- disable some useless wakelocks
- FS-TRIM partitions at every reboot
- DeadPool interactive governor profile
Requirements:
- Root
- Busybox
- init.d rom support
Installation:
- First, REMOVE all other system mods/tweaks (clear /system/etc/init.d folder, restore your original build.prop, uninstall LSPEED) from your device or it will be a mess!!
- Download the attached Z5_Endurance_Reborn_Essentials_v1.zip
- Flash it in TWRP recovery
- Enjoy
Warning:
- init.d enabler Magisk modules sometimes don't work at all depending of the Magisk version, best thing to do is using the init.d enabler of Kernel Adiutor
Note:
- Wait a little before to draw any opinions on this mod
- Feedbacks and suggestions for future versions are strongly encouraged
Changelog:
- 26 fev 2018 - v1.3 final version: Heimdall v5 governor profile replaced by DeadPool governor profile
- 8 dec 2017 - v1.2: fixed big cores tunables not applying at boot
- 24 nov 2017 - v1.1: small scripts modifications to ensure that all the tweaks are effectively applied
- 11 nov 2017 - v1: initial release

GUIDE 1
For an even better battery life:
1. Install the app Naptime and switch on "agressive doze"
You will still receive your GCM or FCM instant notifications when screen off.
Push reception will no longer work in your email client. So select scheduled sync (every 5 mn for instance). If it still doesn't work, use aquamail, it will work.
Some apps need to be doze whitelisted to continue to work when screen off.
2. Use Sony Power Optimizer
Install it as a regular app AND systemize it with Systemizer Magisk module or Link2SD and reboot.
Launch it and select the apps you want to optimize: they will be frozen and evicted from RAM when screen off.
As an alternative to Sony Power Optimizer, you can use Greenify.
3. If for some reason, idle drain with wifi on is greater than idle drain with wifi off and data on, go in settings - wifi - wifi configuration and select standby mode for wifi: never active or only if the device is plugged. In this way, wifi will be off when screen off and on when screen on.
GUIDE 2
For an even even better battery life, the following xposed modules are useful:
- Smart Network xposed module
I use it to automatically turn off location when screen off (and when screen on, location is automatically reactivated)
- Amplify xposed module
With this module, you can block or restrain wakelocks. But beware, some wakelocks are necessary and must not be blocked or restrained.
This is the list of the wakelocks I have restrained without any issue:
NlpWakeLock: allowed every 240 seconds
NlpCollectorWakeLock: 240s
NetworkStats: 800s
*net_scheduler*: 7200s
GCoreFlp: 7200s
Wakeful StateMachine: GeofencerStateMachine: 7200s
Icing: 7200s
NfcService:mRoutingWakeLock: 7200s

I'll give it a shot with stock 7.1.1, I have a question, what version of xposed do you use and do you still can pass safetynet?

I use Xposed v88.2, not the magisk version because I don't care of safetynet...
0755 permission is right for scripts as per your zip? I thought folders have 0755 and files use 0644. Please correct me if I misunderstood.
Thanks
Offtopic: Do you use Viper ? Is it works with speaker ? If so which version it is? As I cannot get speaker working with viper as it says processing no always but works with Headphones.

Hey bro
init.d scripts need to have 755 permissions.
No, I don't use v4a.
With crDroid, I was using the DIVA soundmod and the JamesDSPManager.
Now, I use Kryptonian stock based rom, for the moment I use the DIVA soundmod and the Sony stock equalizer.
Hey..
Did you use universal init.d app?
Or is there another way to enable init.d ?
Im on stock 7.1.1 rooted

Creta the init.f foder if it doesn't exist (in/system/etc/)
Then, use the Magisk module init.d linker.
Unfortunately i dont use magisk (i don't like it )
I enabled init.d using the app on playstore but i cant make sure if your script is running (human nature you know) ?
Looks like this mod little increase battery, thank you!
Performance of device steel on good level.
Im using Lineage OS 14.1 on Z5c
Yesterday I got about 4 hours Sot with 13% left(8am to 11pm), when I used to get about 3 hours with the same usage, great work and thanks for your time!
