Getting DSP manager to work - HTC Desire C

DSP manager is awesome app. It can take out bass from any headphones. This app is the main reason I use cm. But I have noticed here. On some cm ROMs here, DSP manager is not working. So I experimented a bit and came with a solution which worked. I would like to share it.
Step 1>> Setting
Step 2>> Apps
Step 3>> All
Step 4>> Then search for "MusicFX" and Disable that
Now reboot and try music again. Offcourse first set up your DSP manager and then start music. It should sound with the extra bass of DSP manager.
For some xperia styled ROMs, DSP manager will even not work. For that uninstall walkman. You can do it either by "titanium backup" or similar app or just use "root explorer" and go to system>>app>>and delete "semcmusic"
Reboot and again install Walkman again.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804609
flash any of the walkman zip you like
Now open walkman and try music! Voila ...DSP manager working!
If you benefitted , Hit thanks
And to moderatorsand senior members, I am not aware of XDA rules. So don't lose your mind and tell me if there is any misake!

Music player problem

It will start automatically. Sometimes I use another player app to listen to the music, but the default music player will start automatically as well, how to solve the problem? Can I delete the default one? Many thanks
You will need root access and an app like 'root explorer' to delete any of the system apps. And about the fault, im not sure what it could be.
Sent from my Green Robot Device
any free app to do this task? Root manager is a paid app
I use root explorer too.
Maybe androzip can explore the system files.
But you must have a rooted SGS to do that !
Thanks guys. Please do help me to sort out this problem. It's so annoying. I can't play my music in the gym now! By the way I am using Darky's 9.02 rom, running fast and smooth, so I assume my device is root'ed
Its more than likely your problem is the rom especially if it was ok before .

[GUIDE]Avoiding Marvel ROM Music Player Force Close Pop Up, Easy Steps

EDIT :
It's actually not fixing the FC, but removing the music player in order to avoid the FC pop up
Hi guys, now i'm using tantrum's Marvel ROM, it's a very great ROM, and i like it. But unfortunately, there's a bug called Music Player Force Close. Everytime music player crashed, and asking for force close. Here's easy step to solve the problem :
Requirement :
1. Rooted Optimus Black
2. Root Explorer Apps
3. ES File Explorer Apss
Steps A :
This method is actually moving music player app to another folder in purpose to
remove it from the phone.
1. Make a folder in your SDCARD using ES File Explorer
2. Give it a name "App Backup"
3. Go inside that folder, and make another 2 folder, "system", and "data"
Steps B :
1. Install Root Explorer
2. Open Root Explorer
3. Go to directory /system/app
4. Press your phone menu button, select "multi-select"
5. Once the multi-slect ready, find for "com.google.android.music-1.apk" and "music.apk"
6. Select them.
7. Select "Move" (if you cant move it, firstly press "Mount R/O", it's located right above on your screen)
8. Go to your folder that you make in Steps A
9. Root explorer directory /sdcard/App Backup/system
10. After you're inside the folder select "Paste"
11. Reebot your phone.
12. Finished.
You can change your music player to another market music player, ex : Power Amp.
I hope this guide is easy to follow, and useful for you. Thank you

Is there any difference between them?

Yes, that's the way to remove music player FC by uninstalling the player. I already mention it in the first post, it's actually removing the player from.the phone system. You can change it with another player

So it's more easy with titanium backup then XD

Titanium Backup - the best backup tool for Android
LBE Security - firewall + application permissions manager
SSHTunnell - route all your network trough ssh proxy
Titanium Backup
Root Explorer (awesome file manager)
Voodoo Sound (improves sound quality)
-NStools
-MidnightControl
-Nitrality
-Voodoo Sound
-Miui File Explorer
1. Titanium Backup (what will probably be the most often named app on the list)
Reason: uninstall anything, backup everything.
2. Root Explorer Option Enabled on ES File Explorer
Reason: Gives me access to the root directory of my phone in a file manager.
3. Sixaxis Controller
Reason: Both my devices have Sixaxis support and I like to play games with a controller
4. Volume+ or DSP Manager
Reason: I like my music to be a little more bassy than the stock Android sound allows. Plus, Google Music has no equalizer which pisses me off even the iPhone music player has an equalizer.
5. Facebook Icon Remover
Reason: Because Facebook Camera and a redundant messenger is freaking stupid
http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...essenger-and-facebook-camera-from-app-drawer/
6. Superuser
Reason: Duh
I've used others, but those are the 6 I "have to have" on "every device"
Voodoo control- enhance the sound
Titanium Backup-awesome backup app that backup your app with their data.
Market Enabler-u can change the country of yours in the play store with this tool.

have you tried to set other music app has default in emui 3 settings?
but if you want to remove a system app here it is... (it's a common problem with emui 3 kernel)
-unlock bootloader
-flash hrt kernel
-root the phone and remove set_immutable.list
-remove any other system app with titanium backup
-reflash stock kernel if you want (set_immutable.list and system app previously removed never come back)

Hi!
Changing the default music app in the settings had no effect for me. I don't know why. Even though I changed the default app to be GPM, every time I pressed the pause button on the lock screen the huawei music player would start up...
In my opinion there should be no reason to have a setting for the default music player app. The default should be the last used. Having a default app would only work if I wanted to use only one audio player. But I like to listen to audiobooks as much as music, so I alternate between a music player and an audiobook player, and I expect to be able to control both of them. It just seems logical to be able to control the last one.
Aaaaanyway.... I was able to remove the Music player apk permanently thanks to your suggestion. I'm not sure why though. The set_immutable.list is removed permanently now, but it doesn't seem to had anything to do with not being able the music player. I might be wrong, but shouldn't the files listed in the set_immutable.list file should be only immutable? The music player apk wasn't listed, and the immutable flag wasn't set on the apk either.
Btw, I managed to remove the set_immutable.list file from recovery (CWM), there wasn't any need to flash a different kernel. But your idea helped me a lot, I would have never tought about the set_immutable file.
I was mistaken, the music player is back... It seems that this has nothing to do with immutable flags or whatever.

The immutable list is still present n the system. It will always install everything that is installed by default at every single boot unless you delete the list itself. You can find a guide in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/help/how-to-root-emui-3-0-t2975877

But the list isn't there. I just checked. Anyway, I'll try it tomorrow, but let's just agree on how ridiculous this behaviour from huawei. They should put their effort in creating an usable rom, not making people suffer who want their phone be more friendly...

As the linked thread states there are more ways to put back the files. If I recall correctly in EMUI 3.0 there is also one in the bootimage.
What I did was flashing the B608 bootloader, rooting, removing the list file, and then I was 100% rooted.

[GUIDE] Viper4Android on ZE500KL Marshmallow!

Install Viper4Android on marshmallow without any side efects. You can use both Viper4Android and Audio Wizard without any problems. In a post made for lolipop installing Viper4Android would make Call Recording and FM Radio unusable. I'm not sure if my way works on lolipop.
Download Viper4Android from HERE install it, then install the driver and reboot. After that download MusixMatch from PlayStore and open it. Play a song, go to now playing and tap the 3dot menu to the right of seek forward, then go to equalizer, this will activate Viper4Android. I don't know why, but is working.
If MusixMatch will open Audio Wizard and not Viper4Android try to freeze Audio Wizard and Audio Wizard Service using Titanium Backup, and after that open Musixmatch again and go to equalizer from the 3dot menu.
