Need a little help from anybody if I can I've been searching all over but can't find the answer I have a AT&T note 3 it is rooted and I have a galaxy gear running a new ROM 13 rooted I have unlimited data and don't want to switch from it to pay for tethering through bluetooth I have tried foxy Fi cannot get it to work with the Galaxy year does anybody have any advice for Bluetooth tethering from a rooted AT&T note 3 to a galaxy gear watch

I am locked down with AT&T at the moment but would like to use Verizons data from time to time. I am looking to take advantage of the $20/Month 1GB Tablet Prepay data plan Verizon offers.
My question is, if I have a Samsung Tab can I root it and use it as a hot spot so my Laptop can tether off the Tab??

yes! if you're using the stock rom installed (froyo) there is an app preinstalled that comes with the tab that enables tethering. ive used it twice.

I did a chat with Verizon and it seems that HotSpot is included in all Tablet plans. So I am golden and off to shop Craiglist.

I purchased my tab strictly for the tethering service for $49 the week before the new tabs came out and it works great.

Have any of you changed ROMs and still been able to use these features? I am having all sorts of issues with 3G dropping when using the stock 2.3.5 ROM but I can't find any other ROMs that have the Verizon Data Service menu required to activate the month to month verizon plans for the Tab.

Hi,
I just installed Nova Launcher and a bunch of other apps including the dolphin browser in my galaxy gear watch but i can't get the internet to work it just says that there is no internet connection. I am using a verizon samsung galaxy s4 but on the t-mobile carrier. I do not get the internet wether i am on the t-mobile internet or the wi-fi. I have tried looking at other place and a lot of threads in this forum but haven't really found a solution. I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this problem. I have attached a picture to show what it looks like. Thank you.

Thanks for the help. i tried to do that but the tethering app (i tried 4 different ones) on my gear kept crashing so i restored the whole thing and now i just use it on factory settings.

The only roms that support blue toothed tethering as of right now are the international roms

just a quick question, you mean the rom on the gear or on the phone when you say international roms.
He meant on the phone.... Assuming you are using an AT&T Note 3

i am using a verizon galaxy s4 and the app keeps crashing on the gear, is that because of the phones rom?
I use Easy Tether Pro on my phone and Easy Tether Tablet on my Gear.

There isn't a way i have found that you can activate the watch without pairing with a Samsung first
Your friend is an hour and a half away but there should be a best buy or att store nearby.

Every time I try to use S voice on my gear 2 neo to control my phone is says
"Please check to make sure you have a network connection then try again"
S voice works fine on my phone if I talk directly to it instead of my watch.
Is there a fix for this?
