Is the GTi8190 the same as the GTI8190L? - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, i just wanted to ask if the roms and recovery's from these devices are the same, i mean if i can install for example Maclaw's latest version of kitkat in my Latin version device, and also his recovery mode, im scared of installing stuff, i still dont quite get it, thanks guys

Developers will state whether or not a rom is suitable for all variants.
All of Maclaw's roms will be ok for you.

[Q] [Beginner] Roms for I9305

Hi All,
Is it possible to flash any available S3 ROMS on the 9305, for example even those for the I9300 or are there any specific ones?
In this case, can you please point me to the right thread where I can find them?
Thank you in advance.
Do NOT flash i9300 Rom on the i9305 . You will brick your phone doing so. First of all do a backup then u can learn about roms for the i9305

Thank you for your reply.
What would you recommend to use to perform the backup?

which is the best stock firmware?
I'd say the Indian, German and the Poland firmwares are so far the best ones....
Then comes the Russian (LQ4) and Serbian (LQB) firmwares... (Hope I got the code numbers correct )
Sent from my SGSA... If my post(s) helped you in any way then please wish me Good Luck for my exams!
I'm still with LQ4 .-.

Stock with custom kernel or wait until cm10 gets finished. Thats personal, but there is much placebo going around.
The only problem i had with stock rom was the camera app freezin.
Indian firmware I hear is good, but I heard that sends a message to install or something. I heard German firmware has no options on the lockscreen and Poland .. I do not know what to say.

Indian firmware is good, it sends only one message, to register the device.. otherwise you can use LQ4 or LQB...am still on lq4 with custom kernel.. hasn't given me any problems yet.. working beautifully..

Maybe just to check whether the version of Odin he's looking at (assuming that's the question) can be used with the I9000 (if its one of those online guides from other websites, some of them can be a bit vague). Plus, so many versions of Odin

[Q] Xperia T doubts

Hi,I´m new on Sony devices and I have a lot of doubts about unlocking,root,recovery...
For installing a ROM what do I should do first,Unlock bootloader or root?
What is the best method of rooting?
What is the best recovery for this phone?
And finally, what ROM do you recommend me?
Thanks.and sorry about so many questions.
Generally the recovery is integrated into a custom kernel, however if you are unable to unlock your bootloader, it needs to manually be put there. Anyways for all the information your concerned about, check in the development section, in the all in one thread, that will tell you everything you need. If you require further help, send me a PM.
Best of luck.

1. Rooting the phone is probably the single best thing you can do to your phone, it opens another world for mods and software.
2. Installing CWM recovery is the single one most excellent advice that I received by Greg. It enables you to experiment without the fear of loss.
Read here for information (link removed, it was linking to a the wrong model)
Look for a ROM that does not require an unlocked bootloader first and gain some experience. If anything fails you can go back to stock by using the recovery function in Sony Companion. With an unlocked bootloader that path is not open. Once you have recovery installed just be sure that you have one working backup image present at any time.

BTW. ROM recommendations are frowned upon here. Obviously there has been too much trouble with fanboys fighting over the greatest and best.

By the way
all in one thread
bootloader unlock isnt necessary for every custom rom, but for cyanogenmod, aokp, pac, omnirom you have to unlock it....but there also some pretty nice sony firmware based custom roms, you have to find out your own whats best for you

I prefer custom ROMs, there isn't any leak or firmware of 4.3 Sony update right?
