Hi,
my friend has bricked his devices, maybe we can help.
What is working:
- Bootloader works fine
- relock and unlock works
- CID in fastboot is HTC_102
dont' work
- recovery is loading, but no pc connection
- no adb
- no data on device
- no sideload
- no CID in recovery
a CID query during the starts recovery was nothing.
Flashing HTC Stock Rom not possible, but Firmware is flashing fine.

starbase64
It's just a soft brick. You need to properly set UP ADB and drivers to be able to sideload. There are many guides for that. The CID is written in bootloader, not recivery. If aren't still able to sideload just flash a ruu for your device, after having relocked your bootloader

Hi,
adb works fine on my device, but not on the bricked device
Firmware 4.06.1540.2 is installed, bootloader is relocked but all roms says signatur check fail.
Flashing TWRP Recovery and connect with pc, but after few seconds adb disconnected.

OTG don't work in twrp recovery > unable to mount
Just boot into twrp and issue this command:
Adb push /data/media/0/ filename.zip
Then the Rom file will be sent to the root for your sdcard
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
not possible, adb disconnected after few seconds in recovery.

According to the firmware it is a developer edition One.
Are you s-off. If so you can flash previous ruu. If you aren't s-off you have to sideload a rom. It seems to be on the latest firmware, so the ruu isn't out yet

You may want to try THIS.I tried and it works..unless you have a problem with HW.
I attached mkfs.

I assumed you are using openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7.img.use the latest version twrp (2.3.3) because your friend's device has the latest firmware (KITKAT) version.

Fastboot should be all that matters. You can run the command to flash the stock recovery for your model and then run "fastboot oem rebootRUU" without quotes and flash the stock firmware while it's in ruu mode "fastboot flash zip filename.zip". Look for a website with YouTube videos by qbking for help with fastboot if you don't know how to use it to flash recoveries. If it won't stay connected to a PC make sure you're not on a windows 8 PC and have the HTC drivers on the PC. Windows 8 won't work with hboot 1.44.

I think @galaxyjeff is right. If recovery isn't working, try flashing something from fastboot. This means you can either flash a new recovery (you already have?), or you can flash a HTC file (distributed as either .exe or .zip). The HTC file will need to match your phone's CID. Can you find one? (Just search for "RUU", even though it's a .zip.)

It could be the micro USB port is dirty too. Does the phone charge up ok? It should be able to stay connected in fastboot USB. Mine had a dirty charging port but would always stay connected in fastboot usb it just wouldn't charge up right or connect to a PC while booted up in a rom.

Hello,
I have problems installing custom ROMs on my device.
When i try to instal a rom through the latest 4EXT Touch Recovery it can't instal the boot.img. Normally i flashed the boot.img myself in fastboot but now i can't connect it anymore with my pc.
I searched for downgrading or maybe upgrading the hboot to get full s-off.
At the moment i'm running *** UNLOCKED *** HBOOT-2.00 with S-ON.
The ROM i'm running is NikProjectX. The boot.img of this ROM is now installed so when i try to flash another ROM it can't overwrite this boot.img so i'm stuck in a bootloop.
I have made nandroidbackup of this ROM and the previous ROM that was Coredroid V2.4.
Can someone please help me to get full S-OFF? I've tried allot but can't get it to work
Thanks and Regards, Bas

Yeah, i have found that too. That wasn't so hard.
But the problem is that i can't connect the phone with adb. And also in fastboot it won't connect to the pc.
1. Are the drivers installed?
2. Is adB debugging enabled?
3. Are you sure its all done right?
4. Connect to PC and type in cmd window 'adb devices'
if it doesn't show a serial number, you've done something wrong

Yes everything is installed. And i know the adb commands.
It's working with the Desire HD but not with the Incredible S.
Maybe the ROM doesn't support it?? I also can't flash a new boot.img using Terminal Emulator.

OK, I made this mistake with the last user that had connections issues, so here goes.
Are you using a Windows PC, a Linux box or a Mac?
So when you boot into the bootloader and you attempt to choose FASTBOOT from the HBOOT menu, the menu does not change to FASTBOOT USB when you connect your phone?
I tried to flash TrickDroid 7.0.5 and I noticed that my Logo2wake stuff from TeamSeven kernel was gone so I reflashed it and now I can't boot, only into bootloader and recovery, I ended up not having a backup or roms to flash on CWM touch and so now I have fastboot, adb, and cwm touch. so I tried to use adb to sideload and it freezes my windows 7 pc, and i can't do adb push either it does the same thing, what am I supposed to do? nothing's working.
Edit: if you're softbricked with fastboot and no adb, download an ruu exe, type in cmd fastboot clear cache, fastboot oem rebootRUU, then run the RUU for your vid (unless you're soff supercid)
Thanks in advance
edit: if anyone has a stock system.img i can use it'd be nice

If you have a USB OTG cable you could copy the ROM to USB and mount USB in recovery and flash it from there
Try what I said in my post again, I think it's just an issue with drivers.

It didn't work..
im thinking you flashed trickdroid 7.5 since i dont think there was ever a 7.0.5 and 7.5 is 4.2 and there is no fully functional 4.2 kernel right now. i would just reflash 7.5 without the kernel
dont know why the link didnt work.. heres the post:
download the file from here and extract the whole FOLDER to your desktop: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996051
1. boot into recovery
2. connect your phone to the computer
3. go to device manager, just search for it
4. In other devices, there should be something called android phone, open it, and choose update drivers
5. instead of letting the computer search for the drivers, choose the second option to choose your own
6. choose the folder, the whole folder, and your driver, and click install
Now your phone should be recognized by your computer, and you can go ahead and push the nandroid to your phone.
Heres a link to how to install the drivers if you didnt get my explanation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139767
List of RUU's and nandroids: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860
List to HTC drivers if you wanna try this before using the universal naked ones: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191279
Additionally, what the post said before me is really good. You could try flashing trickdroid again, which would flash over he team7 kernel. Cause the kernels prolly what caused the bootloop.
I can't. theres no roms on my phone. how am I supposed to be a rom on my phone is the question so I can unbrick it.
You can either use "adb push" to copy a rom while booted in recovery or use a OTG adapter, or use RUU for your region.
No other choices..

I don't have an OTG adaptor.. im buying one definitely though
If you can link me to a Rogers RUU I can do that but I'm S-off supercid I don't know if it'll work
If you are supercid already, why not try a Dev or ATT rom?

Install a sense based rom
thx for your reply but im completely stuck at cwm.
and for rumrunner i need to be rom booted. so how do i get s-off, when im stuck at cwm.
everytime i start with power on he goes directly to cwm
Edit: and it isn't even listed anymore in adb devices
edit2: i have unlocked my device again and now it isnt stuck on cwm. it tries to boot now with HTC logo then changes to cyanogenmod logo and he is stuck here now
Did you relock the bootloader before you attempted to install the RUU?
If you did and that didn't work I would recommend installing a different recovery. Most ROM developers use TWRP which you can grab here: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/164
then try to install a basic stock rom for your carrier, or if you are on T-Mobile, AT&T or any GSM carrier (including International) use any sense based rom like Android Revolution. Re-lock the bootloader then try again. The issue might be just that you have an unsecured or "unstable" kernal and the RUU doesn't like that.

buy a USB OTG cable, which is available in most supermarkets or on any site if u prefer online and costs abt $5. This cable is basically micro-USB(ur charger port) to a full USB port. Put ur rom zip in the USB, go 2 TWRP and flash the rom directly from the USB.

ok i managed to adb push the custom rom into data/media/0 with recovery mode
how can i install it now?
EDIT: after every reboot my pushed files are gone
If I assume you're still using TWRP simply click "install zips" and navigate to the file you pushed over. The phone should do the rest and you'll have a stock kernel and os to work with.

You will need S-off to run the RUU if you have a higher firmware version on your phone currently.
You may need to flash hboot 1.44 before the RUU will install. S-Off Required.

I have an HTC one unlcoked version with sense 5.5, and I decided to unlock the bootloader and flash google edition software. I unlocked the bootloader with no problems at all. Then I rooted the device, and everything is very fine. Then, I downloaded a google edition software, and flashed it using CWM. I rebooted the phone to see if it works. It didn't. It does turn on and I can see the google logo, and I can see the screen with the apps then suddenly the phone restart by itself, and it keep doing that. I tried to flash the stock sense but I couldn't. I need a solution pleas. Thanks
