I have a GTi9305 which is rooted (not done by me though). I would like to know if it is running a stock firmware version or not? How can I do this?
Thanks.

Go to Software update, if it is a stock rom it will check for updates...
If it won't let you then you have your answer.

@JJEgan and @winxuser, thanks for the confirmation.
Originally stick room mean orignal rom which comes with your new phone. To check if you have stock rom then go to setting> about device> status>device status
If you see there is official than you have stock rom but if you see normal or modified it may be stock rom but it proves that you took some manually modification with your device. .

Hey all! I'm running Omar's rom from 5-4, but I was wanting to try arman68's infinirom. Seeing as I can't just flash the zip over Omar's, should I go back to stock rom and then flash the AIO mod? If so, do I just flash the fastboot file for the stock rom on cwm?
Many thanks!

Yeah you should download the stock zip for your phone and flash through rsd lite. Do a full data wipe also.

You know that you're lurking in the RazR i Forum > There's just one Recovery
To go back to Stock the best way is to restore an Backup in CWM. Unfortunately most people are to lazy to create one. So RSD is the best choice.
BUT ONCE YOU'RE ON JB, DON'T USE ICS FASTBOOTS. THEY WILL HARD BRICK YOUR PHONE!

Woooohoo I'm really thanking my past self right now, just found a back up of Omar's rom from 3-26! Would flashing this change the kernel as well, letting me install the AIO v6 mod? Sorry, I'm fairly new to this and Omar seems to have shortened the changelog so I don't know when the compatibility issue started popping up. Thanks for all the help!

The Backup of Omars Rom will flash you Omars Kernel back, not the Stock one.
For the AIO Mod i recommend to start complete clean with JB Fastboots (RSD) and an Data wipe. Otherwise the damn SD Card swap will mess up your datas (double Folders an stuff). That's why i never used it. I like my SD Cards, where they are.

Just a quick question, That RSD Lite does it require to have the phone with bootloader unlocked? I only have root
And would you say that this is how to use it? http://wiki.howardforums.com/index.php/How_to_flash_with_RSD_lite
You don't Need to be unlocked to use RSD. Just make sure you use the right Fastboot Files for your Region.

Here you got the XdA How To for RSD and here's the latest Version

BUT: Once you're on JB you can't Root without unlocking your Bootloader and definetly forget ICS Fastboot Files! I can't say it to often
Thank you!

If you still got some time, about the RSD Whats the difference from flashing using the xlm to using the update.zip ? I have flashed before using this kind of tools, but its been to flash its firmware lol
Root Keeper won't work with RSD. During the RSD Flash all your Partition will get overwriten, even your internal SD will get formated. @ the End you will have an Phone running JB like fresh out of the BoX.

Hello,
Is there a pre rooted UK generic unbranded rom to flash via flash tool on 10.4.b.0.569 (4.3)
Why a UK generic? There is no difference between UK, Italy,...
And if you flash an other pre rooted region you won't loose warranty

To actually answer the question, you won't find a prerooted stock rom in FTF format to flash with Flashtool.
Flashtool will only flash unmodified stock software in flashmode.

Thank you, so when I have finished this will I still be able to check for updates via pc companion, I don't mind if I can't actually install the updates but as long as I can check then I can flash back stock rom and update that way, can't I?
updates
To make myself clear lol can it still search for Software updates with recovery installed?
I once unlocked the bootloader with flashtool and noticed a software update on an internet page so I went on sony update service and it told me to connect in flashmode so I did then it said checking connected device then it said it can't update because the software has been modified, is this because of unlocked bootloader? I have relocked it and it could update I just wanted to know if it worked the same when recovery installed?
Yes, you should be able to check for software updates via the PC Companion. SUS gave that error because your bootloader was unlocked.
I cannot guarantee it though, as I rooted by unlocking my bootloader, therefore didn't use a prerooted rom.

I did downloaded the software from Samoblie, can I just start Odin and connect the phone a flash the old Lollipop software to the phone? Or is it better to do factory re set first, and then flash the software? I am not rooted. Usually i root all my Samsung phones but this one was almost perfect so no need to root.
