Is it possible without flashing custom roms to remap the camera button? I have the S4 google play edition camera which I prefer to the stock app so itd be nice to be able to launch that instead.
Any ideas?
You could try to disable the normal camera apk and have only the S4 GE installed..

Hi,
I was wondering if a three second lag is normal when pressing the recent App button or previewing a picture taken from stock camera app?
Thanks
What software version do you have? Are you stock, stock rooted, or running a custom ROM/kernel?
I have this same issue - I flashed Rapture KitKat and still having issues. Is there a better rom I should be using?

The xposed app to fix the camera to gallery lag is callled "Samsung camera any gallery fix". I set mines to Quickpic and now I have no lag. Don't know of any fix for the recent apps button just yet.

Download and install the xposed module, open the camera, select the gallery, and choose default.

Holy ****. This is the best xposed module ever. Never knew if existed. You rock man.
I'm running on Rapture and I'm not getting any lag at all. Previewing picture from my camera is fast and pressing to get to recent app would sometimes take me about 1.5 seconds to open.
Hello. I seem to have disabled my stcok camera app. I've tried to reinstall from apkmirror however they keep failing to install. Does anyone have some help to offer. I'm on Oreo.

I'm not entirely sure. I'm used Gcam and I wanted to use the stock one and it was gone.
The only thing I know to do is reset the phone
Hi, I would like to know if there is a LineageOS/CyanogenMod ROM for Sony Xperia E1 D2005 that has a working camera app. Help would be much appreciated. :good:
You can try this CM12.1 ROM, I have never tried it personally, so I can't really say if camera is working. You can try using a different camera app than the stock one, like Open Camera, for example.

Stock Camera keeps crashing, Open Camera keeps saying "FAILED TO OPEN CAMERA. CAMERA MAY BE IN USE BY ANOTHER APPLICATION"
There's no CM/LOS ROM with working Camera available.
If you really want to have Camera, you need to stay on a Stock ROM unfortunately
