(Bug report/question) Camera app unresponsive after installing xposed framework - Xposed General

hi guys, got a problem after installing just the xposed framework (no modules) when i open the stock camera app i seem to lose touch screen function. the volume button still works to take a picture but i cant select any option on screen. When the framework is uninstalled then the camera app works perfect.
ive downloaded other camera apps from the play store and they work fine but dont have the features of the stock one so would like to get it working.
any ideas whats wrong or how to fix this?
My phone is a rooted galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) on stock rom (4.4.2) if anymore info is needed then please just ask.
thanks for any help or info given
regards,
Gary.

[Q] Can you remap the camera button on stock rom (Rooted)

Is it possible without flashing custom roms to remap the camera button? I have the S4 google play edition camera which I prefer to the stock app so itd be nice to be able to launch that instead.
Any ideas?
You could try to disable the normal camera apk and have only the S4 GE installed..

I've exactly the same problem on note 4 after flash xposed framework. Could anyone help?
Same here with note 4 and xposed framework.

[Q] Home restarting problem

Before update to kitkat, I never had this problem.
But since updated I face the problem that when I press home the launcher keep restating, like a famous issue that happen to Galaxy S3
The cause of this is RAM is run out of space. I tried limit numbers of apps but it is still happening. Factory reset isn't work either.
Has anyone faces this problem too ? and is there anyway to fix this ?
Flashtool and make a fresh install, but be sure to save all your data on Pc, or make a backup with recovery
Already done that. Still the same.
Have you flash your specific model baseband, with a official rom?
Can you post more info about your phone model, baseband, bootloader, etc?
Im experiencing the same problem all the time... I just taught it was because i have tons of root stuff and Xposed modules and such... I havent done reset due im waiting for Lollipop, but yeah good that im not the only one !
Facing same problem and feels like that since installing a lot of stuff, and perhaps exposed too

It's a very usual behaviour from Android, because LMK too high or you use too much RAM for Foreground Apps.
To fix that, you have 2 ways:
1. Change OOM Priority via service.jar or change LMK
or
2. Using Xposed Framework, install App Settings and choose Home and tick Resident, save
Hope it's help you

Done, seems ok now, ill report if it starts restarting again !
I'll give his a try too, looks good
has been working for over a week now ! thank you !
Are there any bad side effects, of using xposed app settings module to keep these things resident in ram?

Yeah, if your home crashed you will always have a blank screen, you must force close it or replace to another launcher app or deactive Xposed Framework

[Q] VPN apps don't work with Xposed

Hello everyone,
I'm facing a strange problem with Xposed. I can't use VPN apps when Xposed is activated. I've tried many many many VPN apps and all
of them have the same problem.
I just can't push the 'Connect' button in the app which is to connect to VPN. All other functions in the app are working such as settings or location. No force close no freezing no error messages.
once I deactivate the framework, the VPN apps work perfectly !!
I've this problem in both of my Xperia Z and Xperia Z3 Dual, both of them running kitkat 4.4.4
list of Xposed modules:
- 20MP SuperiorAuto
- 3C Toolbox Pro
- Amplify
- AppOpsXposed
- BootManager
- CustomShare
- Force Immersive Mode
- GEM Xperia Xposed
- Gravity Box [KK]
- Greenify
- LightningWall
- Lucky Patcher
- MaxLock
- Per App Hacking
- SNAPPREFS
- Screen Filter
- Statusbar download progress
- SwipeBack
- Text Aide
- XInsta
- Xinstaller
- Xperia Xsposed (KK)
- YouTube AdAway
I've tried disabling some modules that I think they are related more to system but this same problem exists?
So any suggestions guys? I can't enjoy my Xposed customization with VPN
Me too but mine running 5.1

I've done that, I've disabled MaxLock and many other modules as I mentioned but still the same thimg
Try disabling the Screen Filter module. A few things, such as activating a vpn and installing apps via the package installer are blocked when a screen overlay is detected.
This is definitely a module issue rather than a problem with the framework as I had no such issue on my Xperia Z on KitKat or Lollipop.

Yeah, if you'd read carefully I never suggested it was a solution, rather I was pointing out it wasn't a blanket issue with VPN whilst using Xposed. Which you appeared to believe looking at the opening post.
Try uninstalling the screen filter app and don't forget to do a reboot afterwards.
Apart from that, in a case like this you should first disable ALL modules, then enable them one by one (or in chunks) to identify the module causing issues.
When using so many modules things can go wrong (as hooks overlap), so that's quite an important thing to keep in mind.
Me too but vpn app(Opera Max) works now. After I had uninstalled xposed installer, I installed Opera Max. After this, I installed Xposed installer. Then, Vpn App works well. I confirmed it in the device running 4.4.4 and 5.1.1. I think vpn apps don't work in a state in which xposed installer has been installed. Sorry for my bad English.

My best suggestion is to disable ALL modules, reboot and then enable them one by one (enable one module, do a reboot) and check whether VPN is still working or not. Takes some time, but will identify the culprit.

Disable proximity sensor - CyanogenMod 11 - Samsung galaxy GT-I8190

Hi,
I've installed Cyanogen 11 in a Samsung galaxy mini s3 that had the proximity sensor broken due to a bad screen replace.
With the stock ROM I could disable the proximity sensor in the phone settings, but that option is not available for Cyanogen.
I've tried many apps following threads in this forum and others, but none of the app or solutions worked.
Is there any terminal command that I could run to disable it?

Have you tried xposed module Sensor Disabler!?
Thanks for the link, but I did install that app and is not working.
I think I'll remove Cyanogen, it a shame (and strange that I can disabled it with ROM stock)

Did you installed xposed framework & the Disabler module, or just the module or you don't know at least what xposed framework is!? Just want to know
I did install only the module
Will check now what is really that and if worth installing, thanks again
