Delete Samsung apps - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I just buy a S3 mini and it is a great mobile.
I want to delete some Samsung apps without flash a CM ROM.
How could I delete the apps?
Thanks and best regards.

The only way to delete system apps is if you root your phone and then delete them. Otherwise you can't delete them.
There are enough simple tutorials on how to root your S3 Mini in these forums. Just take a look around.

Titanium Backup can also do the job. There are also many other apps which can do that.

I'll link my small CWM/TWRP mod here: Debloat Samsung Galaxy S3 mini

Apps like root explore can do the job

[q] galaxy sii i900g root

i want ask about root.i dont understand about root.why must root my galaxy? please help me.i dont understand.
Hi!
Rooting your phone, you have the total control of the OS on your device, deleting the block put on it by the productor!
It gives you access to apps like Titanium Backup, AdAway and etc. Those apps require root permission and without one, Titanium Backup can't backup apps+data while AdAway can't block any ads.

WAIT A SECOND, your phone is not n7000 so NEVER use files which is for n7000, just telling you to avoid bricking your device
and as nokiamodeln91 said, you must root so you can install titanium backup and from this app you can uninstall system apps.
hope this helped
I never saw such recent apps interface before
Try disabling those apps,if it doesnt work, you need to be rooted to uninstall those apps
On ICS? Try disabling like mentioned via settings>applications if you are on ICS

[Q] Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Accidently deleted contacts.apk

I really need a download link to get contacts.apk. i accidently deleted it with system app remover. Please respond, it is really important. Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P.S. I really need a tutorial for how to install contacts.

The above link might be a better place to ask.
I think that app saves a backup of the apps you delete. I might be wrong because i stopped using it as soon as i found root explorer

Be sure to change the apps permissions to match the rest of the system apps.

Rom without applications

Hello everyone! I have a samsung galaxy s3 i9305 and I want to know if there is a custom rom with no applications in it but only the google play store. An empty rom with only playstore that I mayest install what I want. Thank you!

search in the development section
Some essential apps like android system, touchwiz, etc are essential for ui... So u cant get one with play store only... If you want delete your system apps with link2sd. But its risky and if u delete any needed file ur ui will be gone .. So keep a nandroid backup with u

No empty roms posted but no reason you could not strip a custom rom of many more apps .
It would of course require a bit more than just basic knowledge .

Thank you for your answers. I understand that this can cause problems in the system ... I would have liked to try to make my own custom rom but I don't have much knowledge ... Maybe I could ask a developer if he can try to make one?

The answer is that's not how it works .
Next best is a light rom from development section that dev says bloatware removed .

I 537, S4 Active

I'm new here but I do have a background in PC IT. Try not to be too hard on me if I ask stupid questions
I was checking out a thread on the AT&T Community forums and many are complaining about not being able to remove unwanted apps. Is there a simple way to remove them? Also what advantages will I gain from rooting my phone?
Thanks,
Danny
google rooting.

Rooting your device will give you permissions to the System. So for example, if you want to delete unwanted apps, root your device and install a file explorer and go to /system/app . You can do much more if you root your phone and install different applications.
Root alone does nothing I guess.

I'm pretty sure there is a proper galaxy S4 active forum. I don't have a link cause I don't need to go there.

Root access us kind of like having administrative privileges on a PC. You can install, uninstall, delete files . . whatever. The bootloader is kind of like the master boot record. Even with admin rights, some things are very difficult.

Yes you can. I did. Just search for root i537 4.3. After that use root explorer or any other file manager (root) and go to system/apps folder. Be careful
