Hey everyone I use an ATT I717 unlocked on T-Mobile but it is on 2.3.6... Is there a flasdhable zip to bring my phone on a T-Mobile stock rom that is current? Also if there is will it contain the T-Mobile modem if it is necessary. Using the ATT phone I get normally LTE signal in most places. Thanks

I am unsuccessful so far. This is what I am trying to do, get a tmo modem on the i717 so that I can unlock it without paying anything.
I have a custom recovery through odin but am unsuccessful in getting a tmo sim card recognized with the radios I have tried. What steps do I need and what files to get this i7117 working with tmo? Thanks. :fingers-crossed:

OK. I got it to work. Just had to get the right radio and rom combo to get it to work on tmobile.
what radio did you use? I also use a ATT note on TMo that I just installed T-Mobile 4.0.4 on and dont get LTE. On the stock ATT rom I got LTE. DO you have a radio that will get LTE?

Sorry I gave up on this thread but I gave up on the Tmo ROM since I was not able to get wifi calling as I am on metropcs but I tried the TMO stock ROM with the ICS blaze modem and was able to get LTE. I know I had to try a few radios.
I was wondering if anyone knows if we can flash stock T-Mobile onto the AT&T G925A? Main reason I am trying to figure this out is for WIFI calling.
Maybe if its possible to odin the tmobile stock rom and the odin the at&t kernel?
WiFi calling only works on tmobile branded phones far as I know
thanks for the commenting..
hi friends, i need your help again, i have in my hands one galaxy s6 tmobile but one person install android 6.0.1 in this phone, i see one metod, installing one update of one samsung galaxy s6 of metropcs, but this metod no work in this phone, i can dowgrade to android 5.0.1?? or i can istall cwm in this phone?? any help thanks
Try using the new Cellular South firmware thats out and flash it on the phone, its 6.0.1 MM. Go to Sammobile to download.
Oh man, I've been waiting for this firmware! I had a TXAR phone that I flashed the T-Mobile version to, and surprise(!), it locked my previously unlocked phone.
I use Net10 for prepaid service, and they use both sets of towers, so it was easy to switch sims, but I want to put an ATT sim back in for better coverage.
Thanks for letting me know about this.
OR you could try my method.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s6/help/sim-unlock-t3374445
Hi all,
I bought the Galaxy S6 from AT&T when it came out, but switched over to T-Mobile from AT&T last year. Because of this, I have been unable to get any updates and have been stuck on Android 6.0 when the current release is android 7.0, so I've been thinking of flashing my phone. I was curious as to whether I'm able to flash my G920A with Tmobile's G920T rom? Would it work? And if so, after I flash it, would I be able to receive updates normally from T-mobile's servers, as I'm currently using a T-mobile sim, or would I have to flash every subsequent update?
Thanks
Doubtful, since AT&T has a locked bootloader. If the bootloader was unlocked you might be able to try.

You cannot flash a G920T firmware on a G920A. First off, Odin won't let you because the G920T firmware is only signed to be flashed on the G920T.
And even if you somehow rooted and used FlashFire to force the firmware onto your device, the firmware would brick the device, and without a USB jig or SD card port, the brick would be permanent.

I too am seeking answers on this as I have an SM-920A I brought over to t-mobile. Unlocked the phone, installed the t-mobile SIM and the phone works fine, except, it still has all the old ATT apps I no longer need or desire to be there AND without the T-Mobile apps installed, I cannot use their LTE Signal Booster. Is there any way I can install these t-mobile apps that would have come with the SM-920T load?

Just do this and remove the AT&T apps you don't want completely.

So, what can be done -- if anything--to solve this issue?

I originally bought and used this phone on AT&T. I have since moved to Mint Mobile which runs on the T-Mobile network. Some features (like wifi calling) would be availible if I had a T-Mobile rom instead of an AT&T rom.
Is there any physical difference in the Phones (baseband, kernel etc.) that would preclude me from using Odin to flash an official G920T rom on my phone?
You can see from my signature I haven't been here for a while .. lol
Thanks in advance

G920A has Band 30 antennas, while G920T does not. Locked bootloader on G920A will prevent you from flashing G920T firmware. It's not like the S7 where the hardware is identical and software locked.
You can do the reverse, though: flash G920A firmware over G920T as unsigned firmware. But you still won't get Band 30 as it is physically not present.
