need help, 7 vibes and installing nodo - HD7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Im new here and first time on doing anything like this to a phone and would like some help.
Im having a problem with it which is one of the reasons why im here to fix it,
the phone goes to the htc boot screen and vibrates 7 times, im guessing its overheating from what iv read on here and the phone it self works if left off for while you can get the phone running normally but after approx 20mins of using the phone it reboots a few times then stays on the htc logo at vibrates 7 times. (my pc detects the phone normally and in usb mode just fine)
from what iv read the only way too fix this is to install a nodo rom but there are so many different ones i have no idea which ones i need to use
so any help here would be great

Currupt Programs and failed boots

Hi , ive had the issue with randomly being stuck in the SPL a few weeks ago but the problem seemed to just go away by itself . Yesterday i flashed a ROM and noticed that after the first or second reboot i was getting stuck at the boot screen (Not the SPL the screen after that with the info in red) .
Today i flashed back to my current ROM and noticed the same problem again when installing programs one cab would fail and all other installs after that . When i rebooted i got stuck at the boot screen (again not the SPL)
so after another try i finally got all programs installed and rebooted but when i reached the today screen my background was gone and i got an exception about the programs in the startup folder not being found .
After opening file explorer it seems most programs are corrupt and will not run . Has anyone got any ideas on what i should try to fix this ?
Update im afraid its not good news i tried to work around the problem with sprite backup but things seem to have got worse .
Im now permanently stuck at the smart mobility screen with my radio information being displayed in red . Ive tried flashing a new rom and hard reseting which is all perfectly stable but i just cant get past the smart mobility screen .
Whats weird is the led on the left is blinking green , Any ideas before i downgrade (tiltscreen) to a Sony X1 (Dpad and hardware buttons)

Hi there,
We didn't get there the same way, and I don't have the 'blinking green' LED, But I've got a similar "stuck" problem on the Forum here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508100
I'll follow yours and you can check this one out...I may be getting some help from 'higher powers' soon if I don't find a resolution on my own.
Wish I could actually ANSWER your question, and I'll let you know if I find anything else myself...
On the un-bricked road less traveled,

Am ok this is weird everythings back to normal now I turned it on this morning and it boots up fine no problems installing programs or anything .
Confused
That's Good...Though Agreed Confusing...News
Wow...so, good for you! I'm happy that your's did not proceed as mine has...or better said, has NOT.
Wish mine would just 'turn on and boot up fine', but it appears that I may be Murphy's bastard child.
Murphy has a theory of relativity that has nothing to do with Mass or the Speed of Light...
It simply states that if you're a relative of Murphy's, it WILL happen to YOU...hence the offspring reference.
On the other hand, confusion can be good...I'll bet it had you searching the Forum and finding out stuff you didn't know.
If nothing else, maybe you found some cool new ways to get into completely different kinds of trouble!
Glad to see your out of the glitch, hang in there...not by your neck!

[Q]HD 7 hangs on start-up freezes at HTC screen

So i was applying the newest update from Microsoft on my HTC HD7. When i got back from class, i found that it was stuck on the "phone is rebooting" phase. So after 20 mins i unplugged it from my pc and took out the battery for a few minutes.
Now the phone won't go passed the HTC loading screen and it vibrates 7 times on startup. What am i to do?
TIA
Nothing guys?

wierd, same thing happened to me, so after like 15 minutes i still saw that my phone had rebooted and was working and checked the firmware that it was 7392 which is the latest one and so i decided to unplug it and replug it in and it finished on the zune software. did not turn it off before i plugged it back in to the computer and zune said "finish" and everything went well :/
on my part, i think the zune software had a hiccup and after that it was fine. which is wierd that with yours it didn't work the same... maybe because you did something a bit different from me? i didn't turn it off at all and it finished the update on zune's part after i plugged it in and made sure it was working before i unplugged it. did you do something different? :/
btw im running HD7 on T-mobile and it is chev-unlocked if that helps anyone at all

HD7 in bootloop any ideas? PLEASE!

So a guy I know sold a perfect HD7 on ebay and when the guy got it he said it didnt work and sent it back. When my friend got it back he found that it now starts to boot up and fails and reboots only to just start looping. I was wondering if anyone has any idea of how to get it out of the reboot loop. I am android guy so Im not sure how this works or if reboot is the right term or if you can simply flash back to stock or something, but XDA is full of smart people so I figured I would ask.
Thanks!
You are right!
If the phone doesn't boot completely I think the only choice you have is flash the correct stock rom on it.
can you give as a little bit mor information about the phone? (branding, region,...)
can you get into the bootloader menue (hold vol-down when phone powers on)
I had this on my HD7 dont flash the rom before you have tried replacing the battery. I spent days trying this sor t of aproach and nothing worked it just ment i lost my saves on my games once i did get it working.
what would happen in my case was it would show the htc logo then just as it is about to flash the o2 screen it would reboot. I got a test battery for £3 once i found out it was this I replaced it with a nice one.
Can you access the tri-color screen???
Ok so I ordered a new battery and now it boots up and runs great and was about 75% full when I first turned it on so I plugged it into the computer so it could completely charge and I left it for a few hours now I go back and its now at about 25% so basically its not charging for some reason. Also it gets really hot... So from what i can tell the USB port is broken... Also it wont connect to the computer that I can tell. Also yet I can get to the tricolor screen. And now I turned it off and back on and all it does it show the htc screen and then the little black and gray battery icon.

Htc Desire C Mobile Brick?

Hi guys, ive made an account on here just to ask this question as im stumped
So my phone, HTC Desire C was less than a year old, about 10 months, and it suddenly just stopped working. The phone does not charge or turn on. However, it has been recognized by Windows but has failed to install the drivers. Im quite a PC nerd so ive gone around the long way to install the drivers by hand, still nothing. The error that Windows displays is "This device cannot start"
The phone does not boot into bootloader by power on switch and volume down
The phone does not display the HTC logo when turning on
The phone is pretty much a mobile brick; useless
Ive tried:
Charging for hours on end
New charger kit
New battery
Everything to get this phone to turn on or even to open the root folders on Windows.
The phone is rooted but i cannot tell you anything specific. Ive forgotten what i done to it. I do know that no custom roms was on the phone.
Is there any way to get the phone to come back alive?
Also, ive contacted HTC by Email and they have said that I should bring it to them. However, the fees that it will cost will most likely be more than the phone by it self. Id rather try and fix it and save me some cash. The phone isnt important anyway, I rarely use it
Any help will be much appreciated
