Note: I attached the "as is" mods for those not on a msm8960 vzw phone.
All others use the "sansNETWORKtweaks" versions.
News: Crossbreeder is in PP but a flash of latest 12.1.13 CB over PP improves screen performance noticeably.
Nvm!
Jeeko's ◢ PurePerformances™X ◣ thread
A good evaluation of the how Jeeko's mod effects the user interface & overall performance.
Review: http://www.droidviews.com/enjoy-ama...rooted-android-device-with-pureperformancesx/
This fabulous mod, I found it to work well on our M but I had (note Vzw) network (not wifi) failures. I found some workable solutions both for 4.1.2 stock and CM roms. Works on locked or unlocked Boots.
FIX1 IS THE SAME AS FIX2
Fix1:
1) I found: error with permissions for lagfix (which is not used) & made remount_fullext4 the proper target.
2) Numbered the initd files to load before my SD swap.
3) TWRP 2.6.3 fails where Plilz succeeds.
Fix 1 is up for stock 1.4 only.
Fix 1 for CM IS UP (alpha)
Plilz v6 for msm8960 phones: Atrix HD, Razr M & Photon Q is here
Note : Philz will restore your TWRP backups TOO!
Initd scripts I cut from s98system-tweaks.

For both the Stock and CM versions.
I am sure I threw out many good tweaks to get data working on Vzw. I if anyone knows how to find the culprit(?), please let me know.
For the Cm alpha version- I just cut out the same network tweaks as I did with the stock. Not tested by me.
NOTICE: the uninstaller on the PP thread is not reliable. BACKUP. BACKUP BACKUP. A CWMR/TWRP (or SS bootstrap) restore would put you back where you started.
Install my Modded PP zips from Philz v6 (SS bootstrap may not work as it is TWRP.).
Notice: If you do use my SD swap for the xt907 (905), just be sure to flash it AFTER you flash the modded PP zip but in the same recovery session.
"AFTER" is the key to my solution to the install-recovery.sh conflict.
If you reflash the PP mod you have to follow with the SD swap.

Did it come back on reboot? Then what.
Edit sorry I did not read your location lol. You will need some additional script trimming. Do post your info. You may be on your own removing one initd/s98... section at a time. Reboot & see.

First start by put your build.prop back.

It didnt come back on a reboot , i did a twrp restore and then got the data running back.
Actually it killed both my data and mobile networks , i was not able to get calls too.
I am currently in INDIA , using a Local CDMA sim card in Razr M.
Which part of Sys98 tweaks i need to remove , can you give a insight . ?

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ALL THE FANCY ANIMATIONS ETC,THIS ISNT THE ROM FOR YOU....I KEEP IT STOCK APPEARANCE,FAST,FUNCTIONAL AND STABLE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE EXTRAS THEN I SUGGEST GOING HERE
As there are very few problems with this ROM,Please search through the thread before asking or posting questions that have probably already been answered...
Where I am flattered that people want to "use" things from this rom....Just be courteous enough to ASK to use first before just taking,we already lost a good source and great developer because of this...Thank you
Pirateghost and I have been working on these....couple different versions for different tastes....Another beta coming at you, this one is just stock tweaked everything...no ciq anywhere in the rom....Have to clean up the xml....boot img is included for you to flash first then load rom....If does not boot...use this kernel...also is cleaned of ciq. I use this one personally...Ive not warmed up to the 3.5ui yet....
Download Link Updated 5:46 p.m .Make sure to thank pakratt for the download links
Mirror Link Make sure to thank N2itiv for the extra hosting
WIPE EVERYTHING ON THIS UPDATE
Boot image is included in the download
Flashing this rom instructions:
If using linux use this command sudo fastboot flash recovery root_recovery.img
If using windows use whats included in the adbfastbootrecovery zip
Flash bootimage zip attached here
If using linux use sudo fastboot flash boot boot.img
If using windows use windows flashing utility
Touch Recovery Coming SOON!!!
Boot image is included in downloadable zip
I do it this way others may do it a different way....
1. After flashing boot img stay in the recovery
2. Scroll down to mounts and storage (if you have not copied rom to storage follow steps 3-6)
3. Scroll down to mount USB storage
4. Plug in phone storage should pop up
5. Copy and paste holiday_release.zip to storage
6. Once copied to storage unmount storage
7.Go Back to main menu of recovery
8. Install zip from sdcard
9. Choose zip from sdcard
10. Install holiday_released.zip

Flashed the rom - sweet so far.
I'm not in a LTE area yet, so had to load up the other APN settings.
SMS are good too go.
GPS (Google maps) is excellent (fast and dead on)
Bluetooth also good to go.
No issues to report
Im not in an lte area either,no apn's needed...need to have your sim switched and your data plan to an lte plan...if theres connection issues....i had no data because of plan not being switched over....

Oh, also the app News is FCing (process com.htc.googlereader)
also the HTC Wifi Hotspot still asks for AT&T tether plan, my guess is they put a modded at&t version in the stock ROM. It may need to be swapped out with a HTC Raider Wifi Hotspot to work (this is my guess)
[MOD][CM9, CM10 & Stock ICS][Rooted & Non-rooted] Faster Worldwide GPS Fix Patch v2
**Just found out that this works on non-rooted phones too!!! ***
ATTENTION: Everytime you update your ROM or flash a new ROM please reflash this patch to continue to enjoy faster GPS fixes...thank you...
Certain people may face problems when using GPS in the GT-I9100G. The gps fixing may take ages to complete. Therefore, I came up with this patch
FASTER WORLDWIDE GPS FIX
This patch can be used regardless of your location (no need to modify ntp servers). The first fix after a reboot may take up to a minute, but subsequent fixes require only seconds! The device will also lock onto 7-9 satellites (3-4 before patch), which provides accuracy up to 5m.
** DO NOT use any GPS patching app together with this patch as it will modify gps.conf**
Rooted Phones
How to apply:
1. Make sure that you are running a CM9 or CM10 ROM/CM9 or CM10 based ROM/Stock ICS/Stock ICS based ROM. (as long as you have gps.conf and sirfgps.conf in /etc, then it should work)
2. Make a backup of your gps.conf and sirfgps.conf in /etc (copy it into somewhere else)
3. Download the CWM-flashable zip from here: gps_patch_v2.zip
4. Reboot into recovery and flash the zip.
5. You are ready to go!
How to restore:
1. Using a root explorer, mount into r/w mode and overwrite the modified gps.conf and sirfgps.conf in /etc with the originals.
2. Change the permissions of the 2 files into rw-r--r--
3. Reboot your phone.
or (for stock ICS ROMs only)
1. Download the flashable zip from here: gps_ori.zip
2. Put the zip into your external SD card.
4. Reboot into CWM recovery and flash the zip.
3. Reboot your phone.

MROM-Olympus. Custom ROM for the Atrix 4G
This is my attempt to build a stable, complete, and fully functional custom ROM for the Atrix 4G completely built from source code; Atrix-MROM is built on top of Cyanogen ROM latest source code, my branched and modified faux123 kernel, and Motorola proprietary drivers. I recompiled all components to guarantee maximum efficiency and performance. Along the way, I realized that I needed things to work different for the Atrix 4G, so I also made some changes. If you like my work, consider a donation to my cause.
BUILT FROM SOURCE PROOF https://github.com/MROM. Every developer should provide proof that he is building from source.
Atrix-MROM is entirely build from source. You will see the difference when you run it. Just to list a few features:
Boot time in about 10 seconds
Optimum battery life, better than any other ROM I have tested
Quick, responsive
Contains all the most common Atrix tweaks
MIUI Camera for a better picture experience
QuickPic gallery application
While I tried to maintain the main core small, size is not the main focus.
Few user comments:
ahmedbeik: this is the best rom i ever had on my atrix.
Larac: Liking this rom so far, good battery and smooth.
RFOX100: cant belive. this is the only smartphone who can handle 2 days without drain so much battery
ravilov: I don't remember when I took it off the charger
stanekskc: i have to say it. THIS ROM I AWESOME
P05TMAN: Seriously, this is the best, most stable ROM I have EVER used (I've tried countless ROMs for the Atrix in nearly two years). Great job.
alberto88a: I felt as if I had a new phone, an 8-cores phone
samiam21:This rom with it's new design is as good as it gets. F#$% ics!
Neroga:it's the only truly stable CM7 ROM I've ever used.
many more...

If I am going to flash something on my phone, I usually read the first post of that Rom. Try doing that.

Thanks for the Rom. It's a good thing I don't need webtop because this is based off CM7 and everyone knows that CM7 doesn't support webtop. But I figure if I didn't know that, I would just use Google to find that out. Again thanks for the Rom and thanks for including all information in the first post.

Yeah yeah, blah blah... such a waste of SQL and forum posting.
Thanx for the ROM @first poster.

Only 12 MB in Size?
[EDIT] - This question has been answered, and the ROM is "usual sized".
Is this ROM really only 12mb or did I grab the wrong file from your Github? If so, you should advertise this...this is smaller than the leanest ROM by a long way... Thanks for developing for the Atrix.
Please follow the Download link, github is only for GPL compliance...
biggest change log....cyanogenmod setting renamed to Atrix-MROM settings.....
how much does this rom average at quadrant standards?

Hey, this ROM looks very promising and I'd like to try it out, but...
Before I flash something on my phone, I'd like to at least check that it downloaded properly. Good news - you provided the MD5 file exactly for this purpose. Bad news - the MD5 file is not for that ZIP file at all. The ROM is called Atrix-MROM-20120816.zip while the MD5 file mentions cm-nightly.zip, and of course the MD5 sum mentioned in the file doesn't match the one calculated from the ZIP. On top of that, the web server you're using doesn't send the total size of the file (while it was downloading the progress was alwasys xxx MB of Unknown) so I can't even guestimate based on the file size (ie. it's supposed to be around xxx MB, my download is about that size, so it's probably fine).
The downloaded ZIP file happily opens in any archive manager which is definitely good, but I'd really like to check it against its MD5 file before I actually decide to flash it. Hope you fix this soon!
This is a ROM based on the Leak V30a.

INSTALLATION
The installation is by means of the NVflash utility and a menu that I made expressly for the ROM NVflash.
The program is called Optitool, since it serves not only for flashing the ROM, but you can also backup the entire system or for partitions, (save only the DATA partition, or SYSTEM partition, even save the RECOVERY).
The program runs both on Windows as in Linux, simply execute the file menuen.bat or menuen.sh.
The Extras are installed from the installation menu itself, so once downloaded Extras have to decompress them inside the folder LGP990_V30A_Opti-ICS-0.8_Root_Face-Lock_init.d_CWM6 of the ROM.
An important detail, before saving the DATA partition must pass all the SD applications to the phone.

Hi! Thanks for the awesome release and BIG question right in the beginning:
I know backing up internal SD is possible, but trying to restore it always failed in the middle of the process in my tests, because of some problem with image size not correctly determined.
Can you veryfy that restoring data of internal SD does work?
Have you tried with a quite full internal SD? Some hundred MB will work but then it fails. Please report, thanks :good:
pls can you provide some screenshots?
Awesome release thanks so much

Your assessment is correct, :good: it gives error when restoring.
I set me the backup to do alternating an upward countdown, and that the maximum number of bytes that recognize the program is 688193536.
To restore only recognizes 656 MB of the 4.6 GB of backup

This is a custom ROM, as you can see in the pictures that attached in the first message, you also have a list of things that I've taken and things I've added.
This ROM has the philosophy of all my creations, all the applications that I have removed will find inside the "apk" folder in the SD_internal, those are the prefilled
Then you have those installed as Rmap, Opticalc, etc.

Thanks a lot for this rom btw, first thing to download after my crappy job
One question as the curiosity guy I am.....What's the benefits of smartflashing 28g before nvflash besides that smartflashing also flashes the baseband?

As? does 60 minutes?, if it took me 30 minutes to upload it!
If so I'll have to change the server's upload, I'm using Dev-Host
EDIT:
I APOLOGIZE FOR THE SLOW GOING SERVED DEV-HOST DOWNLOADS
This server does not work like that other users of XDA, my downloads do not exceed 146 Kb/s, a real disaster, will have to return to my old server.
EDIT 2:
In the end reached 230 Kb/s about 25/30 minutes to finish downloading, well
Homero now i have only 24 minutes

Good for All carriers??
I noticed that the screen shots show Cricket as the carrier.
Will this ROM work on Virgin Mobile and others??
Also, will the ROM open up the micro SIM slot for GSM carriers?
Thanks for the efforts!
Also curious about Virgin Mobile Support
How much free space does this leave you with in the end?

No, the Sprint/VM/Boost version lacks GSM radios entirely AFAIK and only supports Sprint bands (ugh, I know). I wish I had picked up the Cricket version...
...but there it is.
OP: I recommend setting up a standard Android build environment, extracting the blobs from the phone, and using the kernel source to build an AOSP-based ROM. I'm working on doing this with CM code for the Sprint variant.

Sweet!
I have the Sprint 510, how much of you guyses efforts can be combined and how much of it is carrier dependent? I'm only just getting into ROM flashing stuff on an M7, but it seems like a lot of it is device/carrier specific.
Hell yeah man!!! Thank you! I hate sense!!! I hate it i hate it i hate it!!! Please do let me know when you figure a flashable zip! Thanks man
I can perhaps tell you the format of flashing. I believe you create some scripts in c(main language for building android). The scripts would point to where the custom modified apps would need to be.
@cravingCritic
here is a link to a working META-INF to flash ROMs
i cant seem to get wifi to work after flash (missing symlink or maaybe wrong perms)
format /system BEFORE flashing, script wont do it, nor will it if you add it to the script (that'll make it fail)

I'm down for the countdown. Should be 4 minutes in when this sends. Also look at timeStamp. I am an app developer, and this phone barely has enough memory to hold my apps resources. Gah.
your missing a symlink in your updater-script
This is the symlink your missing
symlink("/system/lib/modules/pronto/pronto_wlan.ko", "/system/lib/modules/wlan.ko");
I had the same issue when i started on my rom until i realized the wifi module wasn't being symlinked and loaded Also, i have a custom kernel with write protection removed, you have my permission to post a link in your OP.
And here is the link, just be sure to include credits.
