Someone help me how to save the battery or is there a mobile app for battery saver that fit for moto x?
You can use the built in battery saver. What is your current problem with battery life?

I know mostly android phones the battery is easily drained so I think I need an application to help me save the battery life of my moto x.
some of my friends advise me to download the app.

Do i need to do a battery calibration when switching between the extended battery and the regular? Depending on my work day i take a different batter with me but the extended seems to be dropping as fast at the standard one. I am running Blurry 1.3 ROM.
IMO its just a placebo effect

I had never run one before but when I stitched to blurry 1.3 I was losing 10% battery life every thirty minutes while not in use!! I was told to run the calibration on it and boy did it help, now I drop ten or so every hour/hour and a half with heavy usage, and only a percent or two when not in use.

Absolutely. Placebo? The battery stats are for the stock battery. You put a bigger battery in, and you don't think you need to tell your system?
Don't calibrate and enjoy the same battery life you got on the regular battery.

I'll post a link to a great calibration trick in a minute. I was easily getting a day and a half on my x2, with heavy use.

So you think the battery calibrator app is not good enough

I think it's good. I use it in conjunction with the other one. Google "juhde calibration DROID" and you'll find the thread. Made a world of difference for me...

It's only been 2 days since I updated to 4.1.1, but, knock on wood, I think I'm getting much better battery life! Can't give exact numbers yet, but at least the battery page on settings works for me now! :victory:

Google Now eats up battery life. I'll be making a guide on how to maximize battery life seeing as no matter what I'm on (ICS, JB, or JB OTA) I still manage to push 8+ hours of screen on time with the setup I use. Also, disable fastdormancy if you're using a carrier that doesn't support it.

If you're rooted, get Titanium backup pro and freeze "orientation notifier", "modem fast dormancy...", and "modemstatservice". Under battery, these were labelled as "wakelock" and used about 25% of my battery

Rooted titanium backup with all bloat frozen including modem stat service and fast dormancy maxx battery. Now just think what a power skin would do with this thing and the maxx battery

Two hours of screen on time contributed to only 10% battery loss???
Did you just left it with screen on without touching it?
Can you post all the things you've frozen? I am on T-Mobile as well.
This is literally everything frozen
And I lose 20% per every 2 hours of screen time
On 4g. It varies day to day, depending on my location.

I think the best start point is to root your phone and then you're be able to do a lot stuff to your phone like flashing some good mod and/or installing any app like greenify or something like that. disable or remove any app/ process you dont need, change cpu govenor. disable wifi, bluetooth, gps when you're not need them.
and this last one is the best possible way....do not touch your phone.

this should be in the Q&A section
least battery drain is dependent on your usage
you will have to test out all the ROM's and see which one best fits your requirement
I have veeeery bad battery life with my Moto X, maximum screen on time is 1.5 hours, wake lock detector requires root, any other apps which can detect the battery drain?

You must have a defective phone or something wrong with your software. I already have an hour of screen on time and am still at 90%.
I am at CES right now, so probably it happens because of overloaded 4G... But previously the battery life was relatively bad anyway

Gsam will tell you a lot. It's free and doesn't need root.
Then maybe try the "how's your battery life thread"....Have a read through and you'll find tonnes of tips and what not.

Thank you for your advice! I will try this app. I would check the thread but so busy with CES and really have no time right now...
