Original TMobile 4.2.2 Rom? - Moto X Q&A

There are two different 4.2.2 T-Mobile firmwares, the TMO_RETAIL_XT1053_4.2.2-13.9.0Q2.X-116-X-17-57_MR1_CFC.xml.zip and the TMO_XT1053_4.2.2-13.9.0Q2.X-116-X-17-6_CFC.xml.zip
How do I tell which I'm looking for? And if anyone has a copy of the one I need, since the source is currently offline, I would much appreciate it.

[Q] Milestone with US ATT Custom ROM

I have been looking for an answer to this and if it has been answered before, point me to the thread.
I'm using a Telus Milestone here in the US with ATT. I have GOT OR 2.01 loaded on my milestone and it's rooted in everything. Now the next step would be to pick a firmware for 2.2.1. However, There is nothing listed for ATT or US at all for that matter.
Should I use Telus's Firmware? And will it still work with ATT? I want to load some custom roms, but I'm a bit stuck. Thanks for any input.
You should use Telus firmware. Or any firmware you like, but flash Telus baseband on top in order to get it working on AT&T
Check in milestone Android development thread, there are few choices available (roms), pick one. There is still no official Froyo rom for Milestone though. Most of the custom roms available are nearly fully functional.

Thank you very much. I wanted to try it, but I didn't want to guess, be wrong, and be screwed. Thats all I needed!

[Q] Custom ROM Support for Dual SIM?

Hello all,
This question prompted by the latest AOKP build, which got me thinking about finally flashing a custom ROM. I've got the HTC One, China Unicom version (802w), with the dual SIM card. I'd like to keep using two SIMs, if possible, but there's not much information over in the support thread on whether or not dual SIMs are supported. If anyone knows (or is willing to ask for me - not enough posts to post there), I'd appreciate it :good:
Not sure if necessary, but here's more info: unlocked bootloader, but haven't flashed anything custom onto it (also, S-ON still, etc. etc.). Have installed GApps using the HTC app for doing that. Successfully grabbed the OTA update from a couple weeks ago, and am currently running Android 4.2.2. Let me know if any more information is needed.
Thanks in advance!

T-Mo US 4.2.2 image?

Does anyone know where I can find this ROM? I want to extract the T-Mo WiFi calling system from it, to put on an Xperia ZR. Or has this already been done?
I've tried searching but neither of these devices are heavily supported by the developer community here.
Thanks!

Quick questions about ROMs on ATT Note 3

So I came from an S4 and I noticed in the forum that you were able to flash some of other carriers(Verizon) roms onto your phone. I was wondering if that was possible on our note 3 with Verizon roms? Please let me know as I have been looking online but I can't seem to find the answer.

I think you can because Brian's Dynamic Kat rom also works on T-Mobile. It probably depends on the rom, ask the developer.
They can but they have to be ported over and you can't use any that use a custom kernel because we can't use those yet on att ?. There are a few ported ones in dev for jb, but not sure there is a Kk one from Verizon yet

anyone have a XT1050?

I've searched but there is hardly any info about this model. I have unlocked the bootloader and wanted to add a custom recovery/firmware, but not sure which (if any) are compatible with XT1050.
at the very least I how there is a generic, stock moto rom that I could use that does not rely on the carrier for updates?
not sure if it helps, but my phone currently has 139.4.6.ghost_row.acg.en.us
and is 4.2.2
well i couldn't find a stock rom for it but i contacted another person who has the same model and he said the cdma based roms he tried worked for it. so i guess thats better than nothing
