Why aren't we using 3.4 kernels? - LG Optimus 4X HD

Seems that kholk is the only developer who pushed out a 3.4 kernel, while everybody else tends to stick with 3.1.
Just out of curiosity, is there a reason why we aren't using his 3.4 kernel? Bugs and major issues perhaps?

go read what kernel is , what is does, how it works and then read the features per version and u will understand why.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_kernel
if there isnt any big difference then there is no reason to go to that version.

kholk abandoned development of eprj due to the amount of bugs and instabilty with 3.4...
The only big difference in kernel development would happen if they released source for tegra code

Overclock Kernel

I've managed to compile an over clock kernel based on the Galaxy S3's overclock code.
I'm working on ironing out the bugs and will post the kernel and source then but for now here are some antutu benchmarks.
Are you sure you edited the code correctly? 1728MHz and only 7400 antutu seems a bit low to me.
I thought stock score was already around 7100 or so
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
Yeah stock is 7100. That's the other screen shot. I'm looking at the code. I think some of the voltages are a bit wrong which is why I haven't released the code or kernel yet.

+1 Me too
Hi,
I've closed the thread as placeholders are not allowed in any development forums and to save from lots of "I can't wait" and "+1" posts. Please PM myself or one of the other mods when you're ready to release your kernel and we will re-open the thread. Alternatively if you wish this to be a discussion thread then we can move it to the General section for discussion to continue.
Thanks

Is this a Joke. Waiting for What. :silly: You guys need to straighten up a little. We just received 4.1.2 not even a month or so. You guys want 4.2.2. Don't be so Jealous. Nobody (Samsung) will come here and answer you here. So stop posting such obligations. If you are very much interested try 4.2.2 from development thread based on CM10.1, AOSPA and AOKP. Now dont ask what they are just search in google.
Cheers and have fun

Hello people!
Why do not we try to build from source CM10.1 HTC explorer long has it
Then our device is just great, especially if you fix Wi-Fi, and it will be very soon!

Not a DEVELOPMENT question, so why the hell have you posted it in here? Are you too lazy to actually bother reading the rules and guidelines?
Questions go in the Q&A forums - not really surprising!

We do not allow best ROM/Kernel threads on XDA. Your view of good battery and performance may be different to someone else. head over to the development section ,try some out and see which best suits your needs.
