[Q] How to root c6906? - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HI Guys
I just got my phone, first I did the OTA and then looked at the threads here.
I was thinking you can help me to root it?
My main issue is this: can I downgrade to a different version and then do the flash to the newest?
Thanks.

Wrong section, and I ANSWERED your QUESTION in the thread where you were already asking for help

Unrooting a stock gs3

Hi all. I bought a GS3 on the weekend (uk unlocked,) I unrooted the phone in order to add the 4.2 camera but I am now wondering... If I was to root the device again would the camera app that I installed still be on the device? Also, how would I root it again? I am still using the stock OS but when I search for updates it recoginises that it is a modified unit. I have used triangle away and in download mode it says all is stock but it knows....
Any help would be great!
Thanks,

[Q] Help rooting my xperia z

Hey guys, I don't normally post questions like this without going through the forums and sticky threads first but there is just so much info. and stuff going around that it's just confusing me. And i am a total newb when it comes to phones and rooting and unlocking bootloaders and stuff. So i was hoping if you guys can bear with my utter noobness and help me out a little.
I have a xperia Z C6602 on android 4.2.2 and build number 10.3.A.0.423
I am wanting to root the phone, so if someone can point me in the right direction that would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance

[Q] Navigon...Any advice please?

Hi folks,
Had my Z1 a week now from moving away from my trusty old Samsung Galaxy S2 and have an issue with the named app in the title "Navigon" and the Z1.
I have the app stored on my SD card and for the life of me can't get it to install
I was wondering, is it because my S2 was rooted and hence no issue with install on that phone compared to Z1? If this is the case then guess I am snookered as you can't root the Z1 yet
That's weird, because I rooted mine.
I just looked at the several threads in the development section that explained how to do it

Yep, sorry, meant unlocked rather than rooted.....was a late night lol! Anyhow, seen some various posts regarding rooting so may give that a go and see if it will help with the install.
Edit: I have rooted the phone and tried again and still a failed install

You shouldn't make a new thread every time you have an issue... ask in the Pure Stock thread.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2579270
p.s use the search button.
Thanks for the help :-/

Actually, he (kinda) did the right thing. Before asking development unrelated questions, better open a thread in the Q&A section. I mean, that's what it is here for
But nontheless, you do have a point, too. The golden rule on xda is "Search before posting".
So @ OP, next time please search before asking, as many Q's already got answered before
Already search before asking

1. Before posting, search.
2. Search again.
3. If you still haven't found an answer, browse the most active threads in General and Q&A.
4. If you still haven't found your answer, reconsider gaining root.

Follw through the guide it will help you...

The only way to root 4.4.4 is if you can unlock your bootloader.... And if you can, go to the One Stop Shop root thread in general and follow the unlocked bootloader section.
