Hi folks,
Had my Z1 a week now from moving away from my trusty old Samsung Galaxy S2 and have an issue with the named app in the title "Navigon" and the Z1.
I have the app stored on my SD card and for the life of me can't get it to install
I was wondering, is it because my S2 was rooted and hence no issue with install on that phone compared to Z1? If this is the case then guess I am snookered as you can't root the Z1 yet
That's weird, because I rooted mine.
I just looked at the several threads in the development section that explained how to do it

Yep, sorry, meant unlocked rather than rooted.....was a late night lol! Anyhow, seen some various posts regarding rooting so may give that a go and see if it will help with the install.
Edit: I have rooted the phone and tried again and still a failed install

Hi all. I bought a GS3 on the weekend (uk unlocked,) I unrooted the phone in order to add the 4.2 camera but I am now wondering... If I was to root the device again would the camera app that I installed still be on the device? Also, how would I root it again? I am still using the stock OS but when I search for updates it recoginises that it is a modified unit. I have used triangle away and in download mode it says all is stock but it knows....
Any help would be great!
Thanks,

My bad, thanks!
So yea, I'm looking everywhere on how to root an Xperia TX. I admit I'm a bit of a noob but I just want to root my phone. I previously had an Optimus One and I successfully rooted that and applied a custom recovery loader along with a custom ROM aswell so I'm not a complete noob.
Every where I look, the website is either not reliable or the guide is for the Xperia T or V. I'm a little worried about following an Xperia T guide so I just wanted to ask what would be best to do or if anyone has a guide that they can link me to?
Thanks in advance.
I have to say, I am really enjoying the community even though this is my first time posting.

First.
Remove the mention of the app from the OP. Any mention of warez etc is banned from xda.
Secondly.
Just follow the instructions to root.
If you are on newer firmware 195 or 223 then flash a TX firmware that is 303 (Or equivalent)
Then use bin4rys method to root, then the method to update back to newer firmware whilst keeping root. Its all in that thread.
Same for me, it wasn't clear in that thread.

You just saved me and my phones life I just ordered a TL29i and it will arrive next week. First order of business is to root! Do these come with a locked bootloader? I know Sony has a website to unlock it for "developers."
It depends, I would have asked the people I was getting it from before you ordered it... Beyer hope it is otherwise there is no unofficial way to unlock yet

How do I customise the signature on xda premium app?

Did you ever get your LT29i (TX) rooted successfully? Just un-boxed mine and charging it before I even try rooting it. Any tips or advice on reading through all those threads?

Lol did you unlock your bootlaoder only to do nothing but remain on stock afterwards?
The answer though; Update to the latest firmware with flashtool. Shadowboy's made a fine tutorial complete with step by step pictures http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240614 check it out.
Make sure you untick wipe data if you want to keep all your apps/setting etc. I've never had problems upgrading fom stock to stock without wiping in the XZ.
Yeah still on stock crazy I know but I've been really busy this month and just not got round to finding the right Rom
Thanks for the tip

I know that feeling, I haven't quite found the perfect rom yet either. I think it might be time I tried my hand at cooking something up myself.. baby steps. lol
I like the look of that cm10 paranoid android hybrid Rom.
Only noticed it last night

Most people who have updated should have already read by now that it's possible to retain root thru the update. I've seen at least 4~5 guides within threads on how to do this already.

How do I overclock my Samsung Exhibit. T599n? I purchased it at MetroPCS 2 days ago and rooted using Cydia Impactor. I do not know much of anything about this device. So first I need to find out if it is possible to overclock.
I appreciate any input.
Since this forum is for the T679, you won't find much help here. As far as I know they don't have a dedicated forum on XDA for your phone. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

look for t599 in the thread title
I'm beginning to notice that alot of what I am looking for is in the S3-mini threads.
Thanks again!

Ok. It's there... General disussion of the T599n. Now I have some info! And some reading to do.
Today I reformatted my 32GB sd card on my computer. Then I was able to use it again. Then I reinstalled Busybox, then opened the AParted app. Made 2 partitions and rebooted. Then I opened Link2sd, set primary partition as EXT4. Rebooted. Opened LINK2SD again and linked all non-system files. Haven't tested it yet. Will get back with how it's working.
