Hi I'm wondering if There's any way (app, xposed module, etc) of make the reverse landscape mode the reverse mode by default. Let me explain myself, when im playing Games like NFSMW I use headphones and it's uncomfortable to hold the device while the headphone jack it's connected, the problem it's that in some games the rotation it's locked so i can't play with te device rotated. I tried apps like rotation locker and Ultimate rotation control but the problem is that with these apps when the screen it's forced to rotate the gyroscope stay intact making the car (NFSMW) turn the opposite way. So I realized that the only way of play this correctly is either using an app that swap the gyroscope (which I didn't find) or better a trick to make the device think that the reverse landscape mode is the default landscape mode.
Thanks in advance.

On rooted roms this is not a problem and for sure many apps will allow you to switch the screen 360°. But if you can't and your problem is only the audio jack I will considering to take bluetooth headphones which they are much more comfortable, specially when you play heavy games.
I like my Senheiser HD 280 pro for gaming and Im rooted but with Asphalt 8 and NFS Most Wanted There's no way of playing with the reverse landscape mode, not without Making the gyroscope Crazy at least.

No, you can connect you Z1 via bluetooth to listening audio on any your PC and plug the headphones into the computer. Also in this way you can use a lot of more surround settings from you PC to get best audio ever playing games on Z1, even a 2.1 surround or 5.1 with subwoofer. Already did and the sound is amazing.
I guess that's a good suggestion but Im always on the go

Of curse, that why I was refering about bluetooth Headphones or even Handset. I know still an option to switch the default landscape, for sure, but at the moment I do not exactly how. I never had this problem. For me best way is bluetooth so even the cable is not disturbing.

it's normal that the phone screen is off during calls using the handset (w/o headset) bcs of the proximity sensor to avoid accidentally touches.?
After a certain amount of time, or opening a certain app, the phone will develop this annoying speaker pop on some screen clicks. I haven't figured out what causes it yet but it happens even when the phone is set to "total silence". A reboot always fixes it. I had my screen clicks enabled but have turned them off and rebooted and everything is fine now. If I figure out which app or circumstances cause it, I will post the fix.
I'm having the same issue. Happens during app launch for pretty much all my apps.

Reboot fixes it temporarily. If you notice it happens after the speaker goes dormant. If the speaker is making continual sound it won't do it. Once to goes to make its first sound after sitting, it pops. Even does it on silent. Don't know what is triggering it yet.
Supposedly someone has done a FDR and no longer has the issue.

I will let others try that first because it takes a couple hours to get everything back to the way I like it without root.

The pop has not returned today and the only thing I did different is not hook up the mod. It may be that.

Well that really wouldn't say much because a reboot fixes it every time by itself. Where is the audio effects setting?
I started noticing this in the Twitter app.

I've noticed this as well. When scrolling through my FB or IG feed, any time a video starts playing (even with the sound defaulted to off), I hear a tiny lil speaker pop. It doesn't particularly bother me all that much, but I definitely noticed it.
I was thinking about it the other day and noticed it sounds a bit like a static pop. Kinda like when you plug a guitar into an amp when it's on. Might be some sort of initiation for the speaker. As long as it doesn't affect anything else or causes damage, I'm not too bothered by it. Especially hearing that it's as widespread it is.
hey guys ive figured out what is causing it but the solution might be some sort of software patch.
its the act of connecting to a BT device and then streaming audio like XM/Google music ect. once you disconnect the pop/snap sound appears on all things that activate the speaker. the twitter pull down is the best thing to test this with but it happens on all sounds from the first time you play a song/video to changing a ring tone ect.
here is a video of the sound. ive tried it on both my cars BT, a bose standalone BT speaker, and even and old FM transmitter and all the BT devices cause the pop once they are disconnected.
the reason why its happening is a little over my head but I was thinking something with DRM possibly?
another thing i discovered is it does not happen on the non Force regular Moto Z. I tested the exact same scenarios on it and it does no speaker pop
I was going to return my phone for another but this thread and a few others makes me think its a full on bug with the Force not a bad phone out of the box
ive tried a simple network reset clearing BT but that didnt work. before I try any luck with a factory reset or is it a waste of time?
Looks like this has been posted on the Moto forums https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-Z-Force/Speaker-issue/td-p/3382728

Well it makes sense why I've never heard it then...I've have not had my phone connected to a Bluetooth device

I have confirmed today that it definitely is not "mod" related. I haven't had my JBL hooked up in 48 hours and there has been no pop. I drove to work today listening to music through my truck speakers using bluetooth. Pop is back. @MCN1SMO was right, it is bluetooth related. The only way out is to reboot. LAME.
Just my two cents on the topic, I am not having this issue, however, I do use bluetooth daily, my phone has been on continuously for almost two weeks now. I work outside so use the JBL speaker and have my phone in my shirt pocket listening to music while working. I keep it at about 80% volume for battery life. I am averaging about 6 hours of listening a day.
Also I have my bluetooth connected to the work truck (Ford Sync) to and from work which includes a 4 hour commute home on Fridays and back on Sunday nights to the town I stay in during the week. I have yet to hear any kind of pop from either the JBL or device speakers.
Personally I keep bluetooth off when I am not connected to a device I am not sure if this has any effect or not but it could be worth testing if you are able to replicate the problem. I have been taking off the speaker when not using it as well, but have left it on a few days.
I do also remember reading about an issue with Pandora and bluetooth. I am not sure if Pandora is what you are using or not, if it is try something else and see if the problem persists. I stopped using Pandora a few years back when I was a mechanic and had a bluetooth adapter for a code scanner for cars. If I opened Pandora I would have to reset before the adapter would operate normally.
My P20 Pro works fine with all bluetooth playback controls, except for "Play". So whenever I pause the music with my headset or in the car, I have to go on the phone to press play again. I thought that it was some power saving feature or some such, but it turns out that pressing "Next track" works perfectly, so it's only the "play" command that it ignores.
However, if I wait too long with pressing next track ("too long" being perhaps one minute) instead of resuming in the app currently in use, it will play from the stock Music app, even though I have never opened it. I also changed the "default music app" to Google Play Music, but this is completely ignored.
Happens with all apps and all bluetooth devices.
Anyone else experience the same issues? Any way to fix this? It's driving my nuts.
Same issue here, all my Bluetooth earphone control not working with poweramp

I have the exact same problem, for example with Audible. Think it's the AI trying to conserve battery. Hope it'll learn soon to leave it alone.
Same problem here on the Huawei P20 with both LG and Bose Bluetooth headphones.
I have a big problem with the Mi A2 - it's really quiet using headphones (through the stock adapter). It's not headphones problem. Now, the question is, is that because of the software or maybe because of the crappy adapter? I need the people from EU country to speak here because maybe it us because of the stupid EU law.
Noticed this too. You get a slight improvement with viperfx and master gain /xloud , but that's all I found out.
Now, even if I am a pretty solid fan of Jack + high end headphones, we are in 2018, moving to BT headphones with Bt 5.0 is the way to go. On this matter. Having aptx advertised and not able to use it without build.prop tweak is a more serious matter IMHO ??
Still Loving my mia2 everyday more tho. This thing is getting faster everyday and having the governor set to ondemand + touch boost disabled make it fast as hell and crazy battery performance (getting solid 5-6 hours SOT)

I love my Mi A2 too but I swear I can't listen to the music because the volume is so damn low. While you are rooted, could you send this file - system/etc/mixer_paths_tasha.xml and this system/etc/mixer_paths.xml? I am sure low volume can be fixed by editing these files.
They can be stored in this place too - vendor/etc

This problem is something I struggle with too. Might it be the usb type c adapter to aux which is the problem? Can anyone try with a different adapter and report back? I am using Xiaomi mi in ear pro headphones. I need to use max volume to have a volume which I consider medium.

I just got my Mi A2 and the audio volume seems very low when Bluetooth paired to my cars stereo. Maybe halve the volume of my old LG phone. Very weird since the audio volume thru the Mi A2's built-in speaker is VERY loud.
Stock dongle's output is slow. Get some other 3rd party and sound will get louder. I have bought and its sound is quite louder than stock's one.

I just got google's newest dongle, it is good. The volume, while not overwhelming, is certainly loud enough with music. Dynamic Range seems quite improved also. I figured for 12 bucks, not much to lose. But turned out improvement for sure.
Mi A2 audio quality
I am currently using the stock dongle and mi piston fresh earphone on my Mi A2 for music. The audio quality is really poor. There's noise and audio is muddy. Is anyone experiencing this and is there a way to improve the audio quality?
I used the headphones of the leeco le Max 2 type c and it sounds wonderful ... but when using the adapter for my headphones Xiaomi sounds very slowly

This doesn't help at all. You'll still end up being stuck with SBC or AAC codec.
I recently converted my phone to Mi 6x and flashed AospExtended v5.8 Rom. Now LDAC is working perfectly with my sony wh1000xm2 headphones and volume output from stock dongle has increased to normal levels. So finally I'm able to use my MI A2 for listening music and I don't need to carry my old Moto X play with me just to use spotify.
I don't think problem is low quality of stock dongle. After all it is just simple adapter and it shouldn't have any or very little difference on audio quality (audiophiles may have different opinions). And I also had very low volume via bluetooth on stock rom.
I'd really love to use the stock rom because the stock camera is much better for day to day use than these buggy gcam ports, but low audio output makes it impossible. Mi a2 is great phone with ****ty firmware and I don't have any high hopes for Xiaomi to fix these bugs. Maybe in the future when development really kicks in we got rom wich is capable for music and photos.

So can someone confirm if this is a problem in the type-c to 3.5mm adapter? If i buy a usb-c earphone or a third party adapter the audio will be loud?
I'm really waiting for someone at XDA to comment on :

When you try to listen to audio on a WhatsApp or telegram voice note, the screen goes black, and the sound comes from the earpiece and you can’t hear it through the speakers ?
Now I CAN Confirm they fix that stupid Voice Not problem on the open beta 14
just go to
developer options / Quick settings developer tiles
and activate the Sensors Off
Now Booom !! you can Listen to the voice note without any stupid switching between the speakers and the earpiece or black screen :good::good:
Note : activate it when you try to Listen to voice note
disable it when you finish :fingers-crossed:
I know it is not completely fix
but this solution is Better than nothing
