Is any way to record video without dropping frames? All my recorded videos have stuttering effect and it is very annoying. I'm on Nik_IncredibleS_TriNiTy_SensationXL V 4.5 and using default camera app, i tried couple of other apps but it is the same. All my videos are recorded outside on a sunny day. Some of them have 17fps, my best is 26fps.
Should it improve. Dont be irritated 'cos of the Desire hd.
Edit: Flash through Recovery
Thanks for reply. I just flashed trough recovery but there is no improvement at all, the recorded video is on 18fps, and here is very beautiful and sunny day. I just flashed the Camera Mod, no need for some settings?

Click to collapse
Normally it should improve Fps and Pixels...
No need for settings.
Tried another cam apk?
Maybe a dev could help us/you.
Maybe oc could effect the fps..

Yes, i tried Camera ICS, but with the same result.
That's the problem with IncS, if you record a video in 720p it's always little bit choppy, tried it on every rom and always the same result, switch to lower res and everything will be ok.

That's the problem, on EVERY resolution the problem is same, 19fps, 21fps. I tried with 800x480, 640x480, even 320x240, no luck.
I have noticed one thing, sometimes recorded files have .MP4 ext, sometimes .3GPP, sometimes sound is mono, sometimes stereo, and i don't change anything in settings?
Anyone tried to edit /system/etc/media_profiles.xml for better record quality? I found something here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1188310
This is an issue I didn't have on my note 2 and I am hoping it is a setting somewhere. When I take a picture with the camera I hear the shutter sounds but it is at least another second before the actual picture snaps. So if I move the camera before waiting the picture is blurry. If anything I am photographing moves before that second is up the picture is blurry. With the note 2 when I pressed the camera button it took the picture instantly. Any ideas to fix this would be appreciated.

You might have image stabilization turned on.

Smart stabilization is off and mode is set to auto

It's not just you. This happens to me (and several other people that I know of), and it has nothing to do with Smart Stabalization, as it effects the camera in any app, not just stock camera. Happens to me in Google Camera, Instagram, etc. Even happens in my Wells Fargo app for depositing checks.
Hi i got the HTC One m7, arhd 92.0 and elementalX kernel.
the snapchat video really sucks on every rom/kernel/android version or anything that i tried to change in order to make the problem dissapear.
the front facing camera works fine only when there is light, but when its dark its very laggy.
and the rear camera video is awful, so awful. its around 2 fps and very laggy and stuff.
I wonder if there's any solution for this problem?
I didn't manage to find the option to downgrade the video quality.
help would be greatly appriciated.
Sometimes when I play video in xperia video or album app, the view will became green. The audio still played but there's no video. But later after not using the phone for a while, the video will be normal again. Does anybody experienced this? Why does this happen? Btw, i'm using stock rom with root access.
Hi,
Sometimes it happens due to some problem with running the video, did you notice the same issue happening on other players? I can strongly recommend the MX Player, been using that ever since 2011 and very rarely I had problems (the problems I had were related to how powerful the device was, as in, the device itself wasn't able to process the video not the player).
All the best,
~Lord
