Sweet ROM bricked after factory reset. Help? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys,
After doing a factory reset while on sweet ROM v11, my phone is now at least soft bricked. Not sure why as I was running philz kernel and the phone was fine until factory reset.
I've looked at how to fix this and return to stock android. I'm currently stuck with ODIN not recognizing the phone.
Current status:
1. Phone only boots to Samsung logo
2. I can get to ODIN mode on the phone (vol down + Home + Power), but when phone is plugged into the computer, no yellow COM appears in ODIN.
3. I can NOT get to CWM (Vol UP + Home + Power)
4. When placed on charger when phone is off, it only shows a WHITE battery icon. It is not green and does not show it is charging, though it clearly is - or something is drawing power.
Not sure what to do at this point. Any guides or help is greatly appreciated.

What OS is your computer running? Did you install all the drivers needed before using ODIN?

Install KIES,
www.samsung.com/kies
and then restart your computer and phone and let the samsung galaxy note reconfigure itself!
hit THANKS

Yeah, installing kies will definitely install the usb drivers which he can do without kies as well.

Otherwise it's pointless because his device cannot boot at all. And the phone cannot "reconfigure itself". It's the pc (supposedly) that needs to recognize the device while it is in download mode to make ODIN "see" it.

[Q] Problems getting into download mode.

I just recently flashed the 2.3.3 GB firmware from SamFirmware. It actually works quite nicely. I just recently encountered a power button issue and would like to flash back to stock before sending the phone in, but the problem I have is not being able to go into download mode. I'm not quite sure what the problem is. I have an ATT captivate, and have done it in the past before. When I turn the phone off, the phone will vibrate like it does in 2.2Froyo but the back light for the buttons will remain on(possibly until the battery dies). Every button trick I try only cycles through the att logo screen and when I have the phone plugged in it always shows the battery charging when the phone is off and plugged in. Regardless, I can get to recovery mode, but never download mode.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
You do know that download mode in GB (2.3.x) is Vol Down +pwr buton, right?
Assuming it turns on you can try adb commands. All else fails jig will force it in to download mode regardless.

Yea, and that's not working. I only get recovery mode every time.

Not true. I897 GB bootloaders Download mode combination is Vol up+Vol down+Insert PC connected USB cable. The combination you said is I9000 Bootloaders.
But i think the majority are on i9000 boot loaders.
True regardless OP didn't specify what bootloaders he is using, so just covering basics.
If all else fails, remove your battery, sim chip, microsd chip, then plug in your usb cable, hold vol up & vol down and put your battery in.
Should go right in to download mode.
the phone boots. Use adb.
install adb (although imo you should have done that BEFORE ever flashing your phone)
open a prompt
Change directories to where you have it installed.
Then enter the command:
adb reboot download
and you're dl mode.
Make sure you have usb debugging turned ON.
Or make/buy a jig.
Here's another problem, and I do thank you guys and gals greatly for helping me out. The computer recognizes my phone and the drivers when booted up normally, but in download mode the drivers fail to install or be read. Therefore, I cannot flash back to stock. I've tried uninstalling drivers and reinstalling manually on my computer and still nothing.

ive just used cognition only since it's release and like it so far

[Q] Galaxy Ace S5830C - cant acess download mode

I read some tutorials here in the forum on how to root your phone! I was able to successfully perform. Until that point, my phone was still booting android 2.3.3 (ginger) that came from the factory.
Then I went into recovery mode and installed 5.0.2.6 ClockworkMod! Installed successfully too! Then I tried to install some roms modified for the S5830I, as read on the internet that the roms of them are compatible with the S5830C.
I tried the first version of the ICS lite and basic, the two images, when installed by clockwork gave no error messages in the terminal, but when you restart the machine could not boot the system.
I installed and booted each version of the ICS modificias separately. I tried other roms. gave some errors "gep.prop" because of non-compatibility with my model. In the end, tried to use the method with ODIN, but my phone can not boot the mod download! Yes, I tried all the tutorials!
I know I need to press the home button, power, volume down (...) I tried to use the ADB "adb reboot download", and also got no answer!! So ODIN does not detect my phone! Percebir also that the recovery mode always resets to a version e3 (I think it is the factory default recory) with this recovery can not seem to wipe the cache or data.
Really broke my phone? Why the hell i can get a good status of installation with the roms but can not boot them?
It's a classic
Yes you did break your phone, unless you try this last trick:
take out your battery
wait until your phone is completly uncharged internally (an hour or so)
go to a hot place like a radiator or somthing like that
do the "download mode trick" with the battery still out
put the battery in while still holding the buttons
repeate if it doesnt work
when you get the downloadmode, you are a lucky person. the rest you seem to know how it works... simply flash a new rom
I hope it works!
samsung galaxy ace unbrick clockworkmodace.zip

[Q] Bricked phone

I've bricked my Galaxy mini S5570. I've tried to flash a new kernel ( cyanus1.6 ) and after my phone has rebooted, it has turn off and it not started again. I don't have warranty.
I've installed Kies, I tried to flash Official Gingerbread with Odin, but it doesn't work. Every time I try, it remain stucked at "<1> setup connection...". When I connect the phone at PC, Odin show a yellow box, I select the images to flash, but after that it remain stucked.
I can't enter in recovery/download mode, because my phone don't turn on.
I've tried :
-to uninstall/install/reinstall drivers for phone and KIES
-to change USB ports
-to change computers
-to change usb cable
-to put the battery in while the phone is connected and I press VOLUM DOWN ,OK BUTTON, POWER BUTTON at same time.
-to recharge my phone
-to try many version of ODIN
What can I do? I would try with a JIG usb, but I don't know if it will help.
cyanus kernel only for mini plus bro.
as always go to scc.

[Q] No recovery mode after failed OTA - Note N7000

Hi guys - I have had a mini disaster with my Note and desperate for some expert advice.
Basically last night I ran the official ICS OTA it downloaded great, I left it plugged into the power and ran the update as I slept. I woke up this morning to find the battery flat, guessing a charging issue I used my external charger to charge the battery. Now, the phone is stuck in some kind of boot loop - It passes the Samsung splash screen to a black screen with the Android Robot with it's belly full of spiraling triangles. That hangs for 30 seconds then it restarts and does the same thing over and over again.
I can not enter recovery mode - vol up + home + power doesn't work but I can enter the download ODIN screen.
Any ideas what I can do?

Galaxy Ace Hardbricked?

The other day i installed the SGS3 V4 rom on my s5830 (only realised after that it was made for s5830i -.-) and now i just have a permanent black screen, no backlight or anything, nothing appears when i plug the charger in and it wont boot into download or recovery mode the only way i can get some life out of it is if i plug the usb cable in then hold Vol up + Vol down + Home + Power as i put the battery in, then my computer shows that a device has been recognised and a yellow rectangle appears in odin but whenever i try to flash the stock rom it just hangs on '<1> setup connection...'
Ive also tried using a usb jig but it doesnt do anything unless im not using it properly.
anyone found a solution? Im now stuck with my blackberry again and i cant stand it
