Did you install it using CWM or ROM Manager?
Never use ROM Manager on the Ace! If you did, your phone is hard-bricked.

[Q] [HELP] Phone not turning on

My Samsung Glaxy S+ i9001 is not turning on, it just stays black. I've tried recovery mode, download mode, taking out and placing the battery back in, letting it rest, nothing works. If I get it to download mode I can fix it, but it just stays black. Its not that PHONE (!) COMPUTER thing that people unbrick or w/e, its just black. Nothing happens when I click any of the buttons, different combinations and such. It just stays black as if you are trying to turn on your phone without battery, nothing happens. How to fix this?

Even if there is nothing on the display , charge your phone for appr. 1 hour , then turn it on to download mode.
If this don't help , try:
-Buying an USB-JIG (got myself one , its such cool and really cheap for that what it does!)
-Buying a new battery for the phone.
I would prefer to buy an USB-JIG since it is really cheap and the chance by getting it back to life is quite high.

If you are sure your Battery is not dead and has been charged and has a charge, check your battery contacts to see they are clean and not oxidized and are firmly in contact with the contacts on your phone. (try shifting battery)
Final solution would be to use a JIG to get it into download mode..
BTW it is always better to mention what you did that brought about this situation, that is how we can analyse the problem.

you can use volt meter to see how much power it has or try it on your friends or someone who has i9000 or i9001 phone and as mentioned earlier check it is in contact with your phone. But what did you do , before this problem ?? or what caused this problem??

I changed the recovery mode to Clockworkmod, then I installed gapps. I got stuck in a boot-loop so I wiped all dalvik cache and data and the other cache types, then I clicked on some bootloader thing, then the phone restarted and never started again.

ok, the bootloader thing you clicked caused this problem, so your battery is good and your only option is to use USB JIG, buy or borrow one and you should be able to get into download mode to flash a i9001 Stock ROM with AriesVE.ops using Odin 4.43
Never mess with bootloader:fingers-crossed:

I've sent a few PM's to people in my town using the thing you provided me, thanks a lot! You gave me some hope to fix it, I'll eventually borrow one if I get a response or I'll buy one, sadly it will be delivered in around 1 month, so I might just send it to service if I dont borrow.

I have already rooted it twice on 2 different Cyanogenmod's , 10.1 and yesterday I tried 10.2. Everything was fine, only GApps would not install properly. So I installed Clockworkmod, installed it without any problems, clicked on that boot thing, the phone rebooted and no more started.

For download mode, you have to buy 3 resistors of 100k ohms each (or any other combination which makes total 300k ohms) and connect them in series.
Cut an USB cable or charger pin from the phone end. Connect the resistors in between pin no.4 ( which is not connected to any of the wire in USB cable) and pin5.
The below link will help you to understand better :

I would like to recommend you to download official JVU pack and flash using Odin. The best way around if you can go to download mode.

Samsung Galaxy S i9000 bootloop on Samsung Logo. No access to Download Mode/Recovery

Hello developers,
A few hours ago a friend of mine gave me a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 which doesn't boot. He tried flashing a Custom ROM via Heimdall and flashed the kernel first.
Since then it is stuck on the splashscreen saying "Galaxy S GT-I9000 Samsung" and it seems to be restarting every few seconds. I cannot access anything on the phone, neither Download Mode nor the Recovery. I have tried *every* possible combination to accomplish that. The phone doesn't vibrate when turned on (I think it should) and it is not possible to turn it off using the power button, which is why I have to remove the battery for that. The bootloop is somehow weird, since it does not boot the OS itself. The screen flashes unperiodically, once the Samsung Logo is visible for about 1 second before it turns off and then again for a little longer, about 3 seconds. Between that the screen doesn't seem to be turned on (or isn't simply showing anything) and blacked out for also an unperiodical amount of time.
When turned off and connected to a PC or the wall charger it shows a little circle that seems to indicate loading. Sadly on this Galaxy S it doesn't move, which is why I suppose it is not doing anything. It is btw not recognized by the computer at all, neither ADB or Odin or Heimdall.
I hope that you can help me somehow.
Regards,

Simply disconnect your device and turn it off then wait couple of minutes (10 minutes at least) to remove residual charge.
