I just switched to Xperia Z from my old Xperia ray. On the old phone, I filmed a couple of clips at concerts, using lgcamera and an external microphone (Edutige i-Microphone EIM-004), which worked fine.
Now, on the Xperia Z I wanted to do the same, but no matter which audio settings I use in lgcamera, it appears thet the phone keeps using the internal microphone, which leaves the sound garbled and unusable.
Is there any way to use lgcamera (or even another video camera app) on the Xperia Z with an external microphone?
My specs:
Phone: Xperia Z, out of the box (T-Mobile Germany)
Android version: 4.2.2
lgcamera version 6.4
Microphone: Edutige i-Microphone EIM-004
Any help is much appreciated! :cyclops:
I am also interested in this as I cannot use external Mic in any apps..

Hi All,
I just purchased Nokia Stereo Bluetooth headset BH-221 for my Xperia Z. All the functions like FM Radio, NFC, Music, Call Pick etc are all working fine. However I inbuilt OLED display is not displaying anything. Is anyone aware how to get the display working?.
Can anyone please help me with this problem and provide any solution?.
Does it display anything? Radio station? Caller details? Track playing?

No. It's not displaying anything. I am wondering if the piece is defective or there is some button combinations which needs to be pressed.
Can you try it with a Nokia? Then you will know for sure.

Yesterday I went to Nokia care and the contact person agreed that it is defective as it is not even displaying the startup NOKIA letters, ruling out any incompatibility issues with Xperia Z. I will get new replacement in weeks time and will check again with my new Z beauty
Hi, I have just updated to version 434 after a little accident with my /data partition. I have a MW600 Bluetooth headset with OLED screen to display caller and track details. On my Xperia S the bluetooth stack in android ICS didn't support track text ( an android issue). Now I tried this headset when I got my Xperia Z too but am sure track text still didn't work with the Z. So after update i repaired all my bluetooth devices and to my surprise the track text now displays! (only tried this in the Walkman app) I'm quite happy this worked so seeing as I was on a roll i decided to try my Microsoft Bluetooth mouse and pair it up with the Z too. This also works perfectly! (never worked before on previous devices)
Is this a JB feature that these devices now work or was it something in the latest update?
Any ideas?

Hi,
I have (mw600 and 350fw). I've tried and it has showed song's name. But I couldn't use my phone to making calls. So I haven't tried caller ids yet.

I have just got myself a sony sa-ns410 speaker http://www.sony.co.uk/product/wireless-speakers/sa-ns410 and my z is not being very nice with 'throwing' music to it, the z is on the rooted C&J rom so not sure if its a problem with that or its just the 4.3 rom in general. the throw icon appears in walkman briefly, then disappears, and if i try to initiate a throw from the quick settings on the notification panel, it doesnt 'see' the speaker. annoyingly, it works perfect from my old xperia s.
So, does anyone else have a similar setup/problem? is it the C&J rom? is it root? or is it the 4.3 rom?
Hi,
Same problem for me too. I own a 310 and 510 wireless Sony speaker. In 1 of 10 attempts it works for me to throw music from walkman to the speaker. Most they do not even appear in walkman app. I am on existenz ultra rom v5 rooted. I am facing this problem even on Stock rom 4.3.
I flashed back to 4.2.2 Throwing is no problem. The speakers appear also in walkman as soon as i opened the app.
My wife owns also an XperiaZ - Same problem. She is on Stock rom 4.3 unrooted.
I hope Sony will fix this problem soon.

It's not just me then! Also, are you supposed to be able to throw any audio to the speaker? e.g. I have an Internet radio app, in my car, when the. phone is paired to my stereo, all audio goes to the radio. Can you do the same with the wifi speaker, or is it only from within certain apps like Walkman?

Both apps have issues with microphone. Bbm voice and Zello's microphone functions over the receiver audio speaker(earpiece) instead of the phone's default located beneath. Did some test only to find that the problem exist in my Sony xperia z ultra. Tried other apps like Skype and phone calling did not appear to have the microphone problem and it worked accordingly from its default microphone (which is beneath the handset) Any thoughts on this? I am running 4.4.2 Build: 14.3.A.0.757.
So on my xperia sp the sony walkman has a feature that you can send the playback to a wifi speaker which is great. Trouble is it isn't very good on the rom i am using which is a cut down rom for music player purposes only. Is there any tool or update to make this process work better..... it would be great if you could port htc connect to the xperia sp
