[Q] Can't use WiFi in 4.4 - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Alright so I just flashed the 4.4 rom for sprint earlier and all went pretty well. Connecting to a wifi network during setup was a bit buggy but it connected just fine afterwards. Then I turned it off to test my data since I was notified that it wasn't set up correctly. Big mistake, apparently. I can turn on wifi but it cant seem to finish scanning for networks. WPS instantly fails when I try it.
I've read other posts concluding that battery saver apps caused their problems but I don't have any battery saver apps installed. Does anyone know of a solution?

You should post this in the ROMs thread

Well I would but since I'm new I'm not allowed to

maybe try a fresh install. also confirm the problem is not known for the rom

What did you use to try and root it? What steps did you take?
mattlgroff, do you think there's any coming back for him? It sounds bricked, at least until we get root.

Hard to say, but if adb is working (which you can almost always do with RadioComm) and get a root exploit, then I imagine it could be fixed. As far as I know there isn't a working exploit for our device, so it would have to wait for that. Or send it into insurance for replacement, probably the easier way (and what I'd suggest).
Pretty sure flashing either of the leaked kernels will break wifi. Has anyone tried it yet?

Flashed the first one, saw no changes so I flashed back to original kernel. Wifi still works on original.

Wi-Fi on the stock kernel for me has been spotty. Reading my news articles on Pulse about 20 feet from the router where everything has great signal (including the Atrix HD), it dropped connected twice in 15 minutes. First time I noticed was today.

I'm starting to think it's not just a kernel problem that's messing with wifi. I can hardly ever get internet access via wifi at my house. After dropping my phone down to 2G I have a perfect, steady connection all the time. Could it have something to do with 4G?

[Q] Tried so many things, cant get siaxxis controller to connect.

So far I bought an otg cable, installed a de-sensed rom, replaced the bluetooth apk, done everything imaginable to no avail. Anyone have any experience with this? I got a wiimote to sync for a little bit, but even that was glitchy. Anyways, anyone who knowz about syncing a ps3 controller to the vivid help me out. Thanks in advance.
I have no experience... however... somewhere there's a thread or post or something that says it works with cm10

Ah, i can answer this one, it's because this device has such a low user count, that no devs own the device so will not want to put in the time to develop for it, therefore, bugs like these stick, if you want no bugs, then choose stock!
Soon this will be legacy and low level, however kanging from the Desire 500 might be the way to go

right, right, I plan to RUU as soon as I hear it's out so I can see if the reception is really improved at my house with the firmware update for the radio....just won't know it's out because I'm obviously not receiving OTA notifications on LiquidROM (official ones anyway^^).
The update was released in Europe this morning.
Look Here.
Anyone heard anything good or bad about this update for the people who got it over seas?
Did it help with their reception issues? Or is it only Sprint M8s that are experiencing this?

i wan't to say its just us since it seems to be issues with spark, s5 owners have similar problems on sprint. Don't quote me on that though :good:
Any news on when this will roll out to US? My data doesn't want to stay connected. CDMA only mode doesn't help. Only way to get connectivity back is to restart the device. Toggling Airplane mode stopped helping.
Anyone knows if this reception problems affect that sometimes YouTube fail to stream...

Try this....first obtain your MSL.
Open your dialer and enter in ##3282#
Hit "Edit Mode"
Type in your MSL
Hit "Advanced"
Hit "RTSP/HTTP Setting"
Under HTTP proxy IP delete what you see there and type in 0.0.0.0
Under HTTP proxy port delete what you see there and type in 0
Reboot the phone and you should be able to stream YouTube. I guess it doesn't like the default Sprint servers, not sure why, but this should work for you. Let us know the outcome.
Thanks I did your suggestion and at the moment I haven't had any problems...
Maybe you have knowledge in this problem too, I bought Talon for Twitter and instagram previews don't load in the timeline. Apparently I am the only having this issue and I don't find anyone on Sprint network to verify if they had the same problem...

No, I'm not familiar with Talon. I'm on Twitter and everything seems fine, not on Instagram though. Is it a Flash file that handles the previews? Do you have an ad blocker running?
