[Q] Droid 3 camera wont record. URGENT - Motorola Droid 3

My camera on my Motorola Droid 3 takes pictures perfectly. But, when i press the record button to record, it closes and takes me to the home screen. The phone is rooted and i just factory reset it but still no help. Maybe i accidently deleted some important camera files on the phone? I dont know... please help me. Rebooting the phone doesnt work either. Everything works fine on phone except camcorder.

What is your system version? See menu>settings>about phone>system version

If you didn't backup files before deleting, or create a nandroid backup.
You will need to reflash firmware
Two options rsd lite or moto-fast
Links in my list, use the 906 xml

Flash xml recovery files (Stock Rom) with RSD Lite with 906 xml
or
Official .906 1_click sbf .exe [03-28-2013] (uses extracted 906 .xml and moto-fastboot)
don't delete stock files, use titanium backup to freeze or just add ".bak" to file name.

Ok thanks. Ill get back to you after xmas when I get my sd card.

Sprint galaxy tab ics help

I have been looking for two days now for how to get ics on my sprint tab. I see people have it and I have tried to flash it and failed.I read it may be because I have an older cwm. 4.09 or something like that. I want to get ics on here sooooo bad. I very experienced with flashing roms and rooting and all the goodies so I don't need anyone to hold my hand but some links on how to do it or what ill need to do it would be amazing. I can't figure out how to get newer cwm and ics. Help and links would be amazing thank you

it works for me.
I looked at that one and tried to flash it but every time I try to flash it says installation aborted from what I gather its because I have a old version of cwm. What version r u on?

Just to verify the link above on pg 38 post 380 does give the right way to do it. I had never used heimdal I always use Odin and I couldn't get heimdal to work for a couple hours so I gave up and said screw it and ran the tar through Odin and it worked! My screen did goofy stuff but all I had to do was boot into the new recovery and wipe 3 times each data and cache and delvik then flash team hacksun then flashed patch then rebooted and then went back into recovery and flashed gapps.
I swear this tablet was made for ics it never ran this well. A whole new tab is a understatement. Thanks to all the devs and rickxx for guiding the way

Thanks, My phone is back to a working order and now I can mess it up again

doubts about recovery

when i install rom manager, download and flash droid 3 recovery, why doesn't work? can look idiot, but i don't like safestrap because i can't flash any rom over stock. when i look at this, i see the stock that remains there like a loss of storage space.
i wanna flash roms over the others. like i've always done with my other phones.
so, could somebody help me pleeease! with links, tips, etc .. thanks!
I believe you need to install and run droid 3 bootstrap, before using rom manager
---------- Post added at 04:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:51 PM ----------
watch http://youtu.be/AUu4q3DKd6s
so, now i'm using milestone 3 bootstrap, modified by junior passos (0.83 from hashcode, if i'm not wrong). i've tried droid 3 bootstrap too (one with red icon). both works.
more one question: there is anyway of remove stock after a new rom flashed on slot-1/flash a new rom over stock, via safestrap 3.x?
Sent from my XT860 using xda app-developers app
not that I'm aware of
Wait for safestrap 3.1 to flash over stock.

[Q] Possibly Bricked Stock ROM??

Hey all,
Got sort of an odd problem. I recently upgraded my Droid 4 with the Jelly Bean OTA update, and it was running great. But today, I ran across 1% Battery Mod for JB users (located at the link below), and thought I'd try it. But, I think I misread it. Looks like it's for a "Leaked" OTA, which I'm guessing is different from the official one...whoops
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2132420
Stupid me, I flashed it over the stock ROM using Safestrap 3.11, and got a boot animation loop (constant red Droid Eye - no boot). Well, I did make a backup of the stock ROM before I flashed it, and figured I could just restore it. But, when I did, it still wouldn't boot. Just a blank black screen...not good
I'm guessing Safestrap isn't meant to be used like that. But anyway, I actually tried restoring the same backup that I made of the Stock ROM to a ROM Slot, and wouldn't you know it, it worked. It booted up fine and I can use it. I'm glad I'm not screwed in that regard, but anyway I was wondering if there's a way I can fix the Stock ROM slot. I'm not too terribly worried since I can use the ROM slot that I created, but just wanted to know.
Am I gonna have to wait for the fastboot files to come out? Thanks in advance.
xml AP fastboot file has been found see http://sbf.droid-developers.org/cdma_maserati/list.php
if you just want to restore your stock rom slot use my nandroid
Jellybean stock safestrap 3.11 nandroid (for stock slot)
system version 98.72.18.XT894.Verizon.en.US
http://d-h.st/g3c 478.95 MB
place unziped folder in internal sdcard/TRWP/BACKUPS then restore in safestrap 3.11
Don't try to restore ICS from jb though, you'll permabrick the phone if I'm not mistaken.... someone correct me if I'm wrong though

right but I'm not writing about ics,
nandroid is jb, and jb xml has been found

Yeah, I was pretty sure of that too. Thanks for the clarification.
Wow, I didn't know that the jb xml was found already, either. I guess I didn't look hard enough. Just for future reference, if I needed to flash it, how would I go about doing it? Would I need to use RSD Lite? And is it just self explainatory? I've used the ICS Utility once, and I'm assuming that RSD Lite is similar. Thanks again guys.
there is a jb utility out now
