No, liquepel you mail your phone and they coat the out and in with a waterproof coating.
In my lime of business, climbing towers, for me it has to have a solid case and the waterproof.
I have already sent letters to fireproof and incepio, hopefully with enough we can get one.

I am in need of a nice water/life proof case for my G2
that would be great. im also looking for a waterproof case
Sorry to bring this back to the top.
Im looking for a waterproof case. I searched Amazon and some other retailers who made a waterproof case for different phones and so far no luck.
Has anyone found one for the G2?
I just remembered a company that makes waterproof skins for certain devices. iOttie .. They make one for the SGS4 and I think that might be the same size as the LG G2 and it might work.
Then just place it in a rugged case. Boom!
I'd be interested in a waterproof case too. Can we maybe do more emailing to get it done?
Why don't we send it emails to Seidio for am Obex case for all of our G2s

I had one of these for my kindle fire and loved it. I'm getting by with a cheap case for my N7 until the Seidio case comes out.
I'll be keeping my eye out for this also. I've had seidio active cases on mine and my wifes nexus s's for over a year and a half now. They are great and have held up well. I like how they feel in the hand with their grippy silicon like material and they give the device great protection.

Was on their website and they have one case available, without a cover unfortunately.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
They are still not shipping but i saw it. The other one should be the same as the one in the picture but with a cover of course.
Debating if i want to go with the regular active case and a screen protector or the other case.
For those that havent used seidio before. Its kinda like a tpu case. Rubber with a hard plastic shell over it.
I have used them on my phones for a while now and im happy with these cases.

Hi there! Did you end up getting the case? If so, how do you like it? Did you get the model with the cover? If so how bulky does the unit become with the cover attached? (Either on the front or back).
It looks like there's a recessed section on the cover (to make room for the adjustable stand), but I'm worried that it will add too much bulk to the profile of the N7.
Thanks!

my 2 cents
Hi all,
Just wanted to chime in on this case. The protection is great and the side grips make the feel more solid as opposed to slippery. The extended rubber on the face helps when it is facedown or when it potentially drops so it's not flush against the floor/table. My only beef is that the kickstand rubber part has come loose so i'm not sure how durable that part is, it's not that much of a hassle as I can still manage to prop it up but I'm afraid it will eventually break off.
Most complaints are about the difficulty of getting the kickstand out
P.S. all ports are accessible i.e. stylus, charger, headphones, camera, speaker
Raised power & volume up/down buttons
Whats the matter with case makers these days? Release the case with just 2 colors, one is black the other is white with pink. Its exactly like body glove diamond series... ffs have they ever thought men uses with white case too? Why pink?? Could just use red and that would plays with well with both genders...
Nice looking case but have always had the rubber part warp on every case I had. Evo 4g, evo 3d, and the skyrocket. I ended up using the speck case for my note 2. Even if anything happens to it I can exchange it for free at the att store.

Hello all,
I know this has been asked before, but I never found any answers in the other threads. I'm not sure if that's because there is no answer to this question, or nobody looked around enough.
So the question is, are there any alternatives to Lifeproof cases for our device? I'm not talking about universal waterproof bags or anything like that. I mean a legitimate case. Something that is both rugged, and waterproof.
I've emailed Seidio, asking about the OBEX for our device. I got a big "No" in response.
Does anyone know of an alternative?
Thanks.

How exactly does the s-pen stop them from making such a case? Surely if anything it'll just be a bit less accurate due to the way it works. It doesn't have to be touching the screen at all for it to register a touch and you can make it more or less sensitive too.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Because if the case is water tight and the spen is stored in the phone.....how do you get the spen out?
They don't want to find a way and they refuse to make a case if you can't remove and use the spen while using the case even though probably 99%
Of note 2 users wouldnt care and just want a stinking waterproof case!
Sent From My Ginormous Note 2
I agree, I would sacrifice the use of an spen if such a case was needed. I wish these companies could understand that... Just seal the damn spen in cause if you ever needed a life proof case you're not going to be taking notes.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Could also have it clip onto an optional holder on the side or something
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I agree. I could do without my SPen for the sake of a waterproof case.
Does anyone have an idea of how large of a demand these companies would need to develop a case for this? There's millions of Note II's out there. There has to be a good chunk willing to buy a case like this.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
I commented on Siedio's Facebook about the OBEX and their response was because of the Spen functionality loss.

The seller has 100% positive feedback, and it ships from Hong Kong.
Sketch? Legit? What are your opinions?
Looks like a reasonable alternative but I wouldn't trust it under water. Also I think it's butt-ugly... However, if I were going out into the wild I would consider that case.

If you read the feed back most of the folks that left feedback are no longer registered users. Proceed with caution IMO.
I was wondering if someone who has had a chance to use these cases in the real world, what would you recommend?
I work in construction (often from rooftops and ladders from which my OG EVO had its demise) and I need a case that can give my M8 a decent chance at survival.
However I also don't wish to sacrifice functionality.
I owned an otterbox Defender for my EVO LTE, but dragging down the status bar was a huge pain, and the screen protector was so scratched that I removed it and simply added a film cover.
So, anyone got any good ideas?

Well I grabbed a defender for my m8, it seems more streamlined than the evo lte version, I can tell you that you won't have a problem dragging the status bar though.

Well i originally went into the store to repair my cracked screen for my EvoLTE and insurance cost $100 for replacement... Well needless to say I got angry about the THREE replacement phones in 5 days and the store manager hooked me up with some major discounts including a zero downpayment on my M8 a commuter series case MSRP $39.98 here All i had to pay was sales tax on the phone $34.99, and $2.09 sales tax on case... So really i lost like $10 but its a win win for me in my eyes... I also traded in my EvoLTe got $25 out of it... Hence the reason i got the huge discounts...
So i just got lucky on a $2 case...i think they coded it as the cheapest case they could aswell... Just ask them if there is any kind of discounts they can give doesnt hurt to ask!

I work in construction. A lot of times I'm a roofer. And most days I have my phone (not this one til I find the right case lol) in a pouch in my toolbelt hanging out with nails, prybars, and other items that would love to beat the crap outta my m8.
My og evo took it's demise from a slide down a roof, teetered on a gutter, then a quadruple backflip to the cement about 20 feet down with nothing but a plastic $10 case.
Since then I've had Defender cases. haven't had that happen again, but I hate how bulky it is. And the shield is almost worthless to me after a week on the job it's completely scratched up and the holster is too much trouble clipping on and off while working in the real world.
Anyway I appreciate your help but I'm I'd really like to know if anyone had something they thought was as durable and possibly less bulky.

Not if your in construction or any similar conditions.
I have a case mate naked tough which provides as much protection as the commuter I recently returned but looks much nicer.
I've considered the defender because I too work in industrial construction and my M8 is exposed to dust and dirt and a lot of adverse conditions..
I'd really like a lifeproof style option (waterproof , more importantly dustproof, and still stylish).
I'm the guy you want to here from. I work with at&t and am up and down poles and on the occasional rooftop as well. Suffice to say I can beat up my devices too.......plus I'm a case fanatic. I have a UAG, a Defender, and the Incipio Dual being sold by Verizon. Those are my 3 toughest cases as I also have the SUPCase with frosted back and the clear KaysCase.
It sounds like you need the Defender. It offers hands down the best protection of all my cases and is much more streamlined than previous Defender cases. Its just slightly bulkier than the UAG but has the added holster you can keep it in with the screen covered in your tool belt.

I refuse to buy another ballistic case... The rubber is too gummy and soft like an otterbox. This causes it to wear much more easily, stick to your clothing, and attract dust. Buy a the Supcase... Either the pro or standard unicorn beetle... I promise that you won't be disappointed.

I would have to say yes. I believe there comes a point when the level of protection becomes wasted and these unicorn beetle ones offer just enough... Unless you plan on throwing your phone off a 5 story balcony, but that's why there's a pro version lol. You just can't go wrong spending $15 on one.

Thanks, saw that. After careful consideration, I went with the UAG Maverick. I have an i-Blason clear TPU cover and a Kayscase ArmorBox. Like the first one for being clear and the second for having a kickstand, but wanted to have a 3rd one with Mil Specs protection, and yet be clear if possible, and high quality, so the UAG came on top, at least in paper. We'll see how it works when I get it.
Of course, I might add more cases to the collection in the future, especially if Mophie gets their **** together and makes a juice pack case.
