Hello all, i have a simple question
I've learned that now you can add custom rss to blinkfeed via adb:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2489219
but my question is... how to mix those custom RSS with the foreground articles?
Every time to see articles from my custom RSS i have to swipe left and select the RSS.. but i want to mix them with all the others news.
I don't know if my answer is clear, hope it is xD
Thanks

apparently you can't have your custom feeds mix with the highlights. I contacted HTC and told them I'd like to see those feeds with my other feeds otherwise whats the sense no pun intended to do this. I suggest you call them and request it also. The more that do the more likely they are to code for this.

Hello everyone
im now for almost a week a lucky owner of the htc diamond...
It's working like a charm!
But I have to questions:
-> When I have more than one wholeday calendar-entry (for example a busy note, and a birthday) only one entry (in my case the busy note) is displayed, the birthday I only see when I lauch the calendar application... Is that normal? Where can I change that?
-> Second thing: When I click on the calendar, it starts always the ugly agenda view, also if I changed the default view in the calendar options. Where do I have to set the switch?
I didn't find the answers. If they are already available, I ask you to provide me the correct link on saying sorry.
Thank you, Sven
Please view this thread...

Thank you..
I tried this already.. It also shows only one wholeday-entry when the clock is small...
Do you have an idea to the second question?
thank you,
sven
In the manual it says that it is only designed to show:
1 all day event
up to 2 timed events
When tapped, it will only bring up the Agenda view of the Calendar, this is by design and so far nobody has found a way of showing more calendar events or getting it to open the built-in calendar on any other view other than Agenda view.
Also, nobody as yet has found a way of making it open a different calendar application eg AgendaOne or Pocket Informant etc.
I believe people are trying to do this, but so far nobody has succeeded. I'm sure that if somebody does, it will happen on this forum and we will all know about it!
Hey marisa
thank you for your answer I'm not a friend of manuals, nor I'm a friend of restrictions...
I now have found a way to start the calendar in day-view (in fact I think it wouldn't be a problem to start any calendar with this way)
Is there a request for smt like this? Should I try to create a helper?

If you've managed to do this then I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people who would want to be able to do this. Maybe you should start a new thread with that in the title and put there the explanation of how you did it.
Hi, guys!
I'm new to this forum and this is my first post.
At first I would like to thank everyone about the awesome solutions and answers to all diamond -related questions I've read on this forum but there is still one I'd like to get some help with:
When i go to my home screen it shows the clock and under it are calendar and call history. Personally I dont need the calendar so i was thinking is there any way to change these? or add more, example e-mails... I'd like to have as much functions at the home screen as possible so I wouldn't have to scroll around the phone all the time.
Thank you in advance!

Welcome to XDA Developers!
Make sure you read the rules properly and get familiar with the search function.
This one I will answer: no, it's not possible for now, but a quick search would have given you the answer to your question.
as ive said in previous posts, I am a recent convert from windows mobile. I had an app on my htc advantage, that was an independant rss reader, as well as a full function rss widget for my home screen. Alot of my rss feeds are photoblogs, or at least news/websites that have photos with the rss feed. This app I had for windows mobile would show the headline of each article along with the first two or three lines AND the picture ON the home screen widget. I have yet to find any rss reader apps with widgets, or standalone widgets that would display the headline including any picture on the homescreen. Does anyone know of an android reader with a widget that does show pictures?
Ok, I think ive gone through every rss reader in the market and none have any sort of picture support in their widgets. Does anyone have any suggestions, or would any eager coders fee like designing a widget that would do this?
if anyone happens to try an rss app and notice that it displays pictures thru a widget....please let me know as I am still in need and looking.
AnyRSS Widget
Unfortunatly Anyrss reader does not display pictures in the widget. Both engadet and gizmodo have pictures of items for each post, that I am looking to have displayed with each headline.
Try FeedR, its 0.99c on the market. Set the feed you want on as a shortcut and it displays images when you collapse it. If you don't like it you can get a refund within 24hrs.
You'd think google would have google reader considering it's their OS
Thanks origins81, I dont think i have tried Feedr yet. I will give it a run this afternoon.
I now have Feedr, but it doesent look like it has any kind of widget support at all. Yes you can create shortcuts on your home screens to a specific feed, but then when you click on it, it opens the whole reader app. The shortcut isnt even a picture, just a generic feedr icon. I'm thinking it may have been an older version of SPB Insight that did the trick on winmo. If i updated my engadget feed, it would download the most recent say 15 posts, and then on my homescreen, it would cycle through the headlines with the corresponding picture that went with each post.
I am still on the hunt for this, I posted a few comments requesting picture widget support for the most popular rss readers on the market....hopefully someone will hear my cry
There is a new version of FeedR with widget support now, though I've not tried it.
The best RSS widgets I've come across are the News Buzz/Mobile Buzz/Gaming Buzz ones by mippin.com...the only problem is that the feeds are automatic and not customisable. That said you can choose a category e.g. Android on Mobile Buzz and it fetches a good selection of news.
Mik
Please let me know if you found one.
esp, widget shows multi lines with img. thanks.

You my friend, are a hero.
I've searched for days, I saw it before, but always thought pulse news was just some news site that showed only their news.
For an RSS android app widget that shows pictures, and text, this is excellent! Loving pulse news widget! All my favorite sites feeds with pictures! (<---Intentionally worded with keywords so others searching for this type of widget would come up easier in search engines)
You're more than welcome! Glad I could help out with something on xda even with me being a semi-noob!
Sorry I'm posting but xDA all of a sudden says that I don't have permission because I have never posted so this is what I'm posting, sorry to post this, but I don't have a choice thanks xda!
Hi,
I would like to know if it's possible to have the agenda on blinkfeed put always before the other news.
The first time I refresh for a new day i see me agenda on the left with other news, but if i refresh later the fresh news are put front, and the agenda go at the bottom even if the event displayed has not occured yet, which is really annoying, it would be better to always have the agenda displayed at the top of blinkfeed.
Do you know if there is an options for that ?
Sorry for my english i am French.
Thank you very much !

Hi,
not really using BlinkFeed myself, as I'm on Nova launcher, but from what I've seen HTC doesn't give you much in way of customizing the feed other than deciding what goes in, no way to control where or in which order content will be displayed
Hey people. I know it is not a topic for doubts but I could not understand how the BlinkFeed manages 2 or more RSS custom feeds.
I had the impression that it does not mix all the feeds so I have to slide the screen to the left and tap the other feeds to check all of them.
Should it be like that? I look for a interface that works like the dead Google Reader.

You can't see all the manual RSS feeds together in Blinkfeed. You have to choose each one of them every time.
If you want a better reader I would recommend checking Feedly.
