Im having a pretty tough time with revone and hboot 1.44. I'm almost sure my problem is because su is not a recognized command, though I am rooted. I've tried following guides for the past 2 hours... can anyone offer a solution?

Can I share his luck and get a PM too? I have been trying the whole day and nothing.
./revone -s 0 -u goes successfully. However, the -P does not and gives me an error 1.
I tried su ./revone -P just in case and still nothing.

Thanks a lot. I was just reading that one now. I have tried everything in order to sim unlock this device before I go to the caribbean. S-Off is required and is the only step missing out of all I have done.
Thanks again for the quick and helpful response.

Like I said in your previous thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2552669
You might want to read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082
If you read, then you will understand that the RUU you want to execute need to be compatible with both your CID, MID and hboot version.
So yes its possible, but you need to be s-off to change CID/MID and to downgrade hboot if required.
and please don't start 2 different threads for relatively the same questions.
Hope it help

yes, use revone tool for hboot 1.44 or use rumrunner tool for hboot 1.54 and 1.55
This is the first thing listed in the thread I linked above.....
First you need to be S-Off, this will NOT work with S-On!!!
A) If you’re on hboot 1.44 use revone to get S-Off: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2314582
B) If you’re on hboot 1.54/1.55 use rumrunner to get S-Off: http://rumrunner.us/ and http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2487888

I can't answer that cause I'm not familiar with rumrunner since I s-off'd my One when it was on 1.44 hboot with revone. In theory rumrunner 0.5.0 should work on all international variant with hboot 1.54 and up except verizon model that need a different version of rumrunner. Maybe you should ask help directly on rumrunner thread for that step or search the forum for similar issue with s-off on 1.55. Hope you will find out.

I went back and forth with rumrunner and moonshine while using a rom 4.3 GPE ROM with twrp and it kept failing. ultimately installed a 4.1.2 stock then used revone and it worked wonderfully. I was able to remove the tampered flag, unlock the stock bootloader and flash the GPE 4.3 and receive the updates. I also only have a mac so i was limited in not being able to run .exe's.

Tampered flag is just that, a flag. It doesnt hinder anything, just a pop up for "Warranty" purposes. The flag pops up when you unlock the bootloader but when you get S-Off you can remove the flag.
Since you have access to windows i would go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428276 and find the .exe RUU for your area. Just get into your bootloader, select fastboot usb and run the .exe. Pick the lowest firmware available so you can ensure that you get the 1.44 hboot.

The zip can only be used with S-Off where as the exe is designed to be used to return a phone to stock with S-On.
Just get into fastboot and run the exe, it should do the rest for you. It will wipe the entire phone, but as far as I'm concerned, a blank phone is better than an unusable one.
I'm not sure if the hboot makes a difference, but mine downgraded when I flashed an older RUU.
Once you get the older hboot and firmware, you may have to unlock your bootloader again through HTC Dev, then S-Off. Once your S-Off unlocking your bootloader is much easier.

If you want to run a GPE RUU.exe your phone MUST have CID compatible (BS_US0001) with GPE and MID: PN0712000
you can check that with this command:
Code:
fastboot oem readcid
fastboot oem readmid
if they doesn't match, you MUST be S-OFF to change them
If your device is currently a DEV edition, you should already have PN0712000 as MID so the only concern is that CID need to match GPE RUU
You should post your
Code:
fastboot getvar-all
and remove imei and sn so it will be easier to see what options you have.

I downloaded RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_BrightstarUS_WWE_1.29.1540.16.exe but my current ROM is Android 4.3 version 3.22.1540.1. I suppose I got this error because I tried to install a oldest version in my device. Does it make any ****ing sense?

So, i was using AHRD GPE 4.3 and the bulletproof kernel for months and it worked perfectly, so i wanted to upgrade to the 4.4 version.
Unfortunately i flashed the Sense edition instead of the GPe.
I am now on Android 4.4, HBOOT 1.44, S-ON and unlocked bootloader trough htcdev.
I tried revone v0.2.1 via cmd myself and via the htc toolkit but i always get the
Code:
adb shell /data/local/tmp/./revone -P
revone v0.2.1
revone failed (error code = 1)
error.
Does revone work with 4.4 or do i have to use a 4.3 or 4.2.2 based rom?
adb devices in cmd lists my phone so i don't know what the problem could be except incompatibility.

I'll ask @mike1986. don't post before I get OK from him, please.
I am trying to unroot my HTC One but keep running into various issues. My phone is rooted, S-On, TWRP, Hboot 1.44.0000
I have tried Moonshine and RumRunner and got the same issue where it told me to fix it (followed every step, have Win drivers and Sync Mgr uninstalled)
Tried the revone method displayed here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582) and each time I get to the step "./revone -l(-s 0)" I get the error "...Segmentation Fault (Core Dumped) 139 :[email protected]:/data/local/tmp $"
I am running the stock rom (received at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348502)
Any thoughts or ideas? I am at my wit's end. It seems everything I try with this phone lends to an error. Friend said I might not have SuperUser. Don't know why I wouldn't. But if that's the case, how do I get SuperUser when I'm rooted and S-On?

While trying Rumrunner I get to the step where I type "fastboot devices" in my cmd window and it never pulls anything up. Running windows 8 with all drivers properly installed/updated. Fastboot devices recognizes myphone on my mac, but I haven't seen a revone for Mac. On the PC, adb devices yields my sn, but not fastboot devices. Am I doing something wrong? Using factory installed cable, HTC Sync Manager is uninstalled (drivers remain) Fastboot is unchecked while USB Debug is checked, rebooted phone into bootloader and selected fastboot to make sure computer identifies it (phone DOES say Fastboot USB).

Revone runs on your phone, not your PC. How you get it into your phone doesn't matter, you just need to run it. You can run it from your phone in a terminal if you wish.

Prerequisites:
hboot 1.44 (pre June 2013)
firmware 1.xx
revone should work just fine from first go (confirmed from 15, and still counting)
you can either use it through "adb shell" or through a terminal on your phone

Oh that's the first I've heard about running revone straight from your phone. Every single thread I've seen about revone states using a pc and the sequence:
cd sdk/platform-tools
adb push revone /data/local/tmp/
adb shell
su
cd /data/local/tmp
chmod 755 revone
./revone -P
But I always get stuck on "./revone -P" with error code = -6.
I tried downgrading the Hboot but wether in CWM or TWRP, when I pu tthe Nandroid in the CWM/TWRP>Backups folder then reboot to recovery and try to restore from the nandroid, the recovery can't find the file. I made sure the zip was extracted.
Ok so now you're saying I can run revone FROM the phone? Can you please be as detailed as possible about this? Where on my phone exactly does it need to be? How do I run the program? Bootloader? Recovery? What exact steps? I am at my absolute wits end trying to get back to factory fresh. I seem to always run into some kind of error despite any method attempted.

revone won't work on the patched hboot, you need to downgrade first.
the TWRP backups are usually stored in
/data/media/TWRP/BACKUPS/<device serial number/
or
/data/media/0/TWRP/BACKUPS/<device serial number/
best way to find the location is to make a backup in TWRP of something small (eg only select boot & recovery) that only takes a second, then you can see where the backups are stored and put the one needed to downgrade there.
Fixed my issue. Ended up using a relative's Windows 7, Ran Fastboot OEM Lock, then ran the RUU now I'm good as new.
Bootloader now reads:
***Relocked***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.55.0000
RADIO-4A. 19. 3263.13
OpenDSP-v31.120.274.0617
OS-3.17.502.3
eMMC-boot 2048MB

Based on this, should I need to send it in, will AT&T have a problem?

Did I miss something I thought you were trying to get S-Off first
And I don't know about AT&T policies, but RELOCKED, definitely tells them you unlocked it. If you need to go back to 100% stock, you can check my guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082
and going S-ON (in the guide) is strictly YOUR choice.
Hey, I was stupid and missed up my phone. I wanted to update my phone, but because It was rooded I wasn't able to do it. So I decided to begin from start. So I downgraded my Hboot to 1.44 and also stupid to set s-on again. But then I could not install the stock rom 1.29.651.10. So I decided to try a custom rom. So I would be able to set s-off again. But non of them worked. I think that the old Hboot 1.44 is why the roms didn't work. But I can't change my Hboot before my device is s-off.
I'm able to use adb sideload and twrp recovery
Bootloader information

Does any one have any suggestions ?
If I remember right, the older s-off techniques like rumrunner should still work with that hboot. I'd look into those first.

I've have already tried rumrunner, but it didn't work for me. I was able to get Viberone 8 to work, but it was very slow. Tried to get s-off but did't work with the Viberone rom. So now i'm trying another one to see if it will allow me to get the phone s-off. But thx for your respond
1.29.401.12. is not a Sprint rom.

While booted to fastbootusb open a cmd window (from your platform tools folder) and type:
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Then copy and paste the results here...make sure you remove your IMEI from the results.

Re-lock your bootloader and use the 1.29.651.10 RUU then give revone a try it should work to get you s-off again

Thx it worked for me. First I replaced the TWRP recovery with the stock recovery 1.29.651.10. After that I relocked my bootloader "fastboot oem lock" and the device rebooted. I used the 1.29.651.10 RUU exe. and it worked. So thank you, have a nice day
