I made s off before using the revone method. I wanted to turn back to stock(I decided to sell the phone at that time) and again I used the revone to remove tampered sign and get my hboot locked.
I am currently using my phone but no matter how much I tried I am stuck with error code -6 as a result cannot s-off again. Is there a solution for this? I tried on stock, stock rooted, custom roms and different kernels. I also tried the moonshine with stock rom but no luck again. If there is any one could solve this please help.

I may be wrong, but if you've already s off'd, I don't believe you need to do that step. Try skipping on to:
5. Now that revone has successfully prepared your device for S-OFF please open another adb shell (as per step 2) and change to
the /data/local/tmp directory.
6. Instruct revone to grant you S-OFF and unlock status by running the command: ./revone -s 0 -u
6a. Other optional command arguments:-
* -u - Unlock the device
* -l - Lock the device (as if it was never unlocked)
* -r - Relock the device (mark the device as relocked)
* -t - Reset the device's tamper flag.
7. Presuming revone reported success please reboot the device again, this time to the bootloader (adb reboot bootloader)
8. You should now observe your device is S-OFF (and the lock status changed if you invoked that option).
9. (optional) Re-run revone to remove TAMPERED from your HBOOT screen: ./revone -t

similar problem
I'm also stuck with "error code = -6" following the ./revone -P step, but since buying the phone from new I've never had it s-off. I've followed every step to a T with absolutely no luck... not sure if there's any binary/kernal stuff that's stopping me getting s-off access...I don't know enough about all that yet.
Anyway if anyone has any advice or has found a way round this issue it'd be awesome to hear from you.
Cheers

If the phone is new, there is no s-off exploit for it. Previous exploits have been patched. There might be hope if you have a US phone as there is a way to revert to earlier firmware provided you're still on hboot 1.44.

Yes it does, and if you took that update, even with hboot 1.44, the exploit has been patched and you have to wait until the revone team finds a new method.

1. Check that you have hboot 1.44
2. You can try 'Android Terminal Emulator' from PlayStore. and run the same commands there. you need to have the file on the root of your device.

Thanks for the info but that sounds scary to do. I'm still a noob at this i think i'll wait for the rev team to find a workaround.
I keep getting an error when I try to s-off my wife phone after the new official T-Mobile update. Are there any tricks or techniques that would help me gain s-off. My phone had s-off via revone before I updated so I don't have the problem.

i guess your HBoot version is now 1.54 after updating, before it was 1.44. right now we don't have the possibility to get s-off with 1.54, you'll have to wait.

That update apparently closed the exploit revone uses to gain root access. You probably have to unlock via htcdev first.

iMac:android gabrielcastro$ ./adb-mac push revone /data/local/tmp

iMac:android gabrielcastro$ ./adb-mac shell

Just to be clear, I'm sorta in the same boat. My phone badly needs to run the T-Mobile RUU and I don't really care about S-Off. What I do care about is getting root later on. My bootloader is already unlocked via HTC dev. Running the RUU on my phone shouldn't cause any problems in my scenario since I don't care about S-Off, correct?

Same boat here.
I wanted to put the Google Edition rom/firmware on my T-Mobile HTC One and cant get S-OFF to be able to change CID and make the necessary updates.
I currently have a stock rogers htc one on 4.1.2 and hboot 1.44 with stock recovery and s-on.
I've gone through the steps for s-off using revone but it always fails after ./revone -P command. It gets root access successfully and then eventually just reboots the phone. Revone successful is not shown and no error is given.
I have waited 2min or more and restarted the process and it will reboot the phone again after revone -P with no errors.
Weird thing is if I continue with the steps after the reboot and do ./revone -s 0 -u it says successful but it doesn't really do anything as I'm still s-on.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If your boot bootloader is unlocked via HTC dev, try installing a custom recovery and rooted ROM and then s-off. Revone failed for me when I didn't run revone in su adb shell.

might have to bite the bullet and hope warranty goes through even with tampered in bootloader.
T-Mobile HTC One 4.1.2/1.27.531.11
HI
I am trying to covert my TMO HTC one into the GPE and I can't mange to get S-OFF.
I am on the last TMO version of 4.1.2/1.27.531.11 and hboot 1.44.I am boot loader unlocked, TWRP and rooted.
When I try either with root toolbox on the phone or adb from computer to apply revone I get the following error at ./revone -P
"revone failed (error code -6)"
Please let me know if anybody has any suggestion as to how to fix it.
Thank you so much
Gabe
Hi
Any luck getting your HTC One running 4.1.2 to S-OFF? I've just picked up a Rogers HTC-One which is also running stock 4.1.2 and I'm avoiding the OTA update so that I can S-OFF...but seeing this thread gives me some concern.
Thanks

Because people have lives and don't just waste their time going though hundreds of posts. The mistake was not to search for specifics like : can you s-off on 531.11? However, I accepted the OTA before I even thought about S OFF. And I only thought about S OFF when I wanted to covert it to GE. After I played with GE I am back to leaked htc 4.3 with sense 5.
This week sound silly, but just keep repeating it until it works. Revone works on the Rogers stock firmware.

It'll only work if your hboot is dated May not June. Also, you need an older stock ROM, like, maybe 2.24 or older. Can't remember exactly.
Im having a pretty tough time with revone and hboot 1.44. I'm almost sure my problem is because su is not a recognized command, though I am rooted. I've tried following guides for the past 2 hours... can anyone offer a solution?
