Dear friends. I believe there's a lot of people having STUCK IN GEARS problems with ther phone. Is it possible for a good soul to dump the stock rom so we can play with and try to fix our phones???
You'll need to take it back to an AT&T Corporate (not a retailer or a franchised one) store to reflash it. There are only two ROMs that have been leaked and they are European, and have a small list of models it will work on. You can try asking in your device specific forum too.

This might be the wrong place for this, but I was wondering about the feasibility of there being a WP8 Custom ROM for this device. Right now I have an Android phone but was looking for a cheap WP phone to play with the OS and see if I might want to jump ship in the future with a better model. Right now I have it down to the HD7 and the Lumia 710 as Im on T-Mobile. Both can be had for about $150. I was just wondering which, if either, would have a chance of getting WP8 in some form to play with down the road. Thanks!

waiting for an answer too ...
can anyone help ?
Hi, I think this isn't very likely to happen (or not in the near future), but if there's any device to get WP8 rom, it's most likely HTC HD7, as it was the first WP7 device to have a custom rom, because of it's similarity with HTC HD2, which even now has big developer interest and gets newest leaked updates first (like WP7.8)
Hello,
I'd like to ask a few questions regarding the HTC One on Bell Mobility.
If I hack the phone and put a Google Play Edition ROM will it work with Bell Mobility?
I'm worried that using one of the ROM's on the web that they might only be compatible with different carriers.
Are there any ROMS that will actually allow OTA updates whenever new versions come out?
I've been reading through the forums a lot and haven't read anything about being able to get Google OTA updates after move to Play Edition ROM?
Does anyone have a link to a nice guide on how to do the update?
I've seen a few nice ones for the Samsung Galaxy S4 but none that are simplified for NEWB's like me.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Nick.
Hey everyone,
Just picked up a AT&T note 3 here in Ireland. Phone is practically new but I have straight away noticed some problems.
First of all how can people live with the phone been destroyed by bloatware and all that other stuff..
So I'm looking to see if it's possible for me to root it and flash a standard samsung image?
I see kitkat update is available but when I check for updates it says there is none, is something blocking me receiving the update here in Ireland?
I'm having the gps problem and hope it's not a hardware problem, is there a fix that allows it to lock on to satelites instead of constantly searching for GPS??
Thanks in advance..

It might help if you gave a little more information and also searched. As for information, what ROM does your phone currently have? Are you sure its an AT&T Note and not an international note? What chipset do you have? You may be in the wrong forum as the international note has its own forum and flashing from one to the other can and will cause bad things to happen.
If you are on an AT&T note, there is a 4.4.2 update that only recently was able to be rooted. There are bootloader issues, so if you are on an older ROM, you might not want to update.
In addition, searching might help quite a bit as well. For example, there is a thread on the first page discussing the GPS issues with several suggested fixes. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612757)
There are also people who say the 4.4.2 update fixed the GPS issues and those who say it didn't. As for debloating, there are several threads talking about apps to freeze (using Titanium if you are rooted) as well as a thread from Walter.white that lists an extensive amount of programs and files to delete.
That's the long answer. The short answer is read and search and then ask questions giving as much information about your software and circumstances as possible. The likelihood of getting an answer is much greater that way.
Congratulations on getting the best phone out there!

First of all thank you for taking the time to reply with as much info as possible.
It is a at&t phone because it boots up with the at&t logo and I have checked the code ect. I have attached a screen shot with some details if you don't mind having a look. I have successfully rooted the phone and installed supersu so I should be at the stage to flash roms? If I had the international version I don't think I would be asking so many questions as I would just go ahead and do it.
I just don't want to make a mistake as I'm not sure what exactly is the difference between at&t versions of phones. Is the hardware different?
Thanks again
Dear devs of the HTC One community,
I am on a carrier version (Verizon) all of what I believed to still be one of the greatest made the HTC One m7.
We are blessed such a vast array of roms, kernels, mods , etc, and because of that I don't think I'll ever get tired of this phone.
HOWEVER, there is one room that I'm very interested in and have been desperate to try out since its release and so far nobody been able to Port this rom over to the carrier variants of the m7, I am speaking of @sundream 's S-Rom w/ Beats,BoomSound,Harman Kardon JBL Audio Switcher. I am a HUGE Audiophile, and am DYING to be able to try this out,
A user named Kansas Boy was working on a carrier version of the rom and had said so far he had the rom booting up on all carriers except for Verizon, and I was his beta tester for Verizon. No matter what I tried or did, I couldn't get it to go past the boot animation, and I spent many many researching troubleshooting with no success. He then stated that he would be releasing the ROM minus Verizon support, however that was over a month ago, and there has been no word on it, and I believe it has since been abandoned.
I am BEGGING the great Dev Community here, for 1 of the Devs here to step up and try their hand at successfully making this rom available to the carrier bound users
Because of the differences in the partition layouts of the different m7 variants, the Working released version of SunDreams S-Rom only works for the WWE and AT&T variants if I'm not mistaken.
Is there/Are there ANY Dev's out there who would be able to / willing to attempt this? I would be MORE than happy to donate, please lemme know what u think.
Hi
I've bought a new D5803 from China and upgraded it (using Sony Companion) to Android 6.0.1 (23.5.A.0.575).
I just noticed the Customization Version that came with the phone is 1288-3732_R3D (Saudi Arabia I think?)
I live in the United Kingdom and was wondering if it's worth flashing 1288-4954_R10D (Generic UK).
What difference does it make if I stay with the Saudi CDA? any software restrictions?, or speed of update releases?
I've used the tool Flashtool/XperiFirm to build 1288-4954_R10D but after reading all the stories of people breaking their phones, I'm a bit hesitant to flash it.
I come from the Samsung i9505 section of XDA so things are a bit different here.
Thanks

You are wise to hesitate to start flashing, if you read further down this Q&A thread it's littered with cries for help from people who have either bricked their phones or lost the DRM keys, disabling some of the higher functions of the phone. Sony's insistence on using an encrypted partition with unique identifier keys on it, puts it a long way from the likes of Samsung & LG, where you can root and flash a rom on your new phone in about 5 minutes. This has caught a lot of people out who come to Sony from those phones.
I don't think using a Saudi build will have any impact. I once flashed a eastern European build on my phone, only to discover that the size of picture attachments to text messages, was to big for the UK providers.
But as long as everything works and you have no hankerings for root on your phone, then 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'
There is a great guide here, if you do want to go down the customisation road. Take your time to read the entire page, then possibly read it again, before you do anything.

Sound advice Didgesteve. Thanks for the reply.
The phone is behaving perfectly at the moment (apart from a temperamental Contacts app).
I think I will spend time learning everything I can about this phone before I attempt to flash anything.
There are a few things I miss about root but the risk of bricking the phone through ignorance isn't worth it.
Thanks again for the pointers.
