n00b question
what positive things does this update bring to us using CM7.1?
in my experience (I had a moto milestone), the official update to 2.2 was worse than custom roms, heck, we even run GB... so I didn't even bother updating to it.
I hope this time is for real.

Presumably it will help rom devs fix some of the broken aspects
Also can run phone on a non custom rom now which some will like.

First of all i bought my first Android phone about 10 days ago, so I'm new to this world. I want to update my P880 to jelly bean, but I'm too paranoid to use root. The update should be out by now, so my question is: is it really out, and if it is can i update my phone directly without my pc suite? Also, i want to Know if there is a way to flash a rooted phone to the original version?

You don't need root to flash.
You can re-flash your original room.
Read more about root, battery drain and how to flash.
There are several methods, choose the best depending on your needs.
Be sure that you know what you're doing before you start.

Nope, the official release isn't here yet. And yes, you don't need your PC to update your phone providing that you have decent Internet connection. You can always go OTA, it's available right in your phone setting.
As of flashing a rooted phone, you can actually unroot it, without the hassle of reflashing your phone . There's a feature in the app for you to do so.
Anyway, you don't need to root your device to get JB, just download the kdz and flash it with kdz updater. The walk through is in general thread. A word of caution though, rolling back to ICS might be quite a task.
Btw, what regional rom are you on now?

Wrong, go back to ICS is easier as any other flash. The difference is that needs to be done with LGFlash Tool. Takes about 5 minutes, less than with kdz.

Well, only God and LG know when it'll be released.
You might want to check your phone software version in phone setting then go to this website http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=15 to see if your room is the latest

Hey guys,
Anyone knows when the official stock android 4.4 update for the i9305. A leaked samsung document said it would roll out in may, but it's july and i still don't have the update.
I know i could flash an custom rom but every 4.4 ROM i try has really annoying battery drain (i flashed CM11, omni, carbon, LS) so if anyone has an idea, please tell me! And if there's anyone with a battery-friendly 4.4 rom, please tell me!
Sorry for my bad english BTW.

Well to start off with, Australia only got 4.3 on the I9305T in the last few months.. NC1 is still 4.3.
The reason it's not on the list is because that's a list of approved/completed updates.
The I9300 was probably cancelled as it doesn't support the Knox Bootloader.
The I9305 does support Knox, so it's fair to assume they will release 4.4.2+ for us at some point.
Until Samsung release some official information on it, enjoy 4.3!
KitKat update for S3 LTE is ready. It's only matter of preparing (add own bloatware) by carriers. Some of them already rolled it out. Search google for: "When will my device receive the latest KitKat" - should be first link on samsung site.

The I9301 uses a Snapdragon processor... Maybe Samsung engineering team can t update the kernel of their processor (exynos). If Samsung doesn't update it is my last Samsung. Its a Shame... Bad advertising for Exynos products...

Thanks bro, i hope it's reliable and we'll get it
Once it gets released, we just have to wait for someone to un-knox it, so that 4.1.2 bootloader users will be able to use it...
By the way, what are the new features that it will have over the tw 4.3 jb???? (Apart from the ugly battery icon!!!)
Eagerly waiting for the update. I believe SG I9305 will get 4.4 soon. It's about time.

It's about the issue with RAM. KitKat was designed for 512MB RAM devices but unfortunately KitKat with TouchWiz needs 2GB and that's why only i9305 will have this update.
Theres no kit kat for us... I regret so much having bought this phone. Damn exynos chip!
Today i ve broken the screen glass...
I always tought that was a s4 or 5.. But i' ve learned the lesson, next phone: nexus 5, motorola x or one plus one.

IT was postponed because ATT is not satisfied enough to approve it.
Get root
Is it possible to get a root for g925aucu2aof3?
Thanks for the great link. Just to update and soft and it shows faster
Thank you very much

Do you have a source that ATT was not "satisfied enough to approve it"? I was under the impression that they were just taking their sweet time with it, not that they were already in the approval/dissaproval stage.
My guess is they also want to patch the stagefright exploit since they need to push a big update anyways what's the point of releasing 5.1.1 then releasing a patch a few days later.

Any proof? I don't want to be that guy, but we've had so many fakes at this point that I can't believe it. Did you get it via OTA? If so what ROM were you on, also what is your note model?
Visit the sammobile site click firmware and move down to live feed and you can see n910f on the progress bar
Yeah i see it, doesn't say 6.0 though........

This is what he is talking about so it could be 6.0.1 or another lollipop update
Hate to burst the bubble but N910FXXS1CPC1 is a previously released 5.1.1 firmware I believe
Its 6.0.1 note 5 get it yesterday's so we shouldn't get better ....lol
Based on Samsungs track record it could be martians landing
Not that i would mind me some Android M

as you can see the list, its only 5.1.1 update to Note 4
I don't think it's 6.0.1, probably just another 5.1.1 update
someone please delete this thread, no update to marshmallow for now, only false signals and we are all very tense lol
Delete the threat. what ever again!
CPC1 is 5.1.1 update.
