Thank you very much for the FTF , so i can flash it on any country devices right? But why it's so big? more than 1 GB!
The C6603 roms works just as well as the C6602 roms on a C6602 .. So just pick a rom you like and flash it.

The bands, nothing more. C6603 is LTE version and C6602 is HSPA version, no matter if you flash a c6603 on a c6602 because the bands are hardware, you can change that

Yes, as the name says is GLOBAL, the size is because is stock firmware, the "Sony bloatware" is still there and those things makes the FTF bigger

my friend, here is all the info you need
HSPA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Speed_Packet_Access
LTE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LTE_(telecommunication)
Xperia Z Bands http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Xperia_Z

Hello,
I would like to buy a Xperia Z with an unlockable bootloader and I currently have T-mobile as my provider.
Which version of the Xperia Z would be most compatible with T-mobile and have an unlockable bootloader (aside from the T-mobile version)?
Where would I buy such a phone?
Would I have to make any compromises (ie data/cell links)?
Thank you very much.

The C6602 would be the most compatible one. U won't get LTE on it official but it works on hspa + on att or t mobile with no limitations.

There seems to be a way to flash an C6603 basebands what would enable lte for the C6602 n baseband 4. Because it actually does have lte but it is not official enabled. But u will find better info on that if u do a search on it. But it seems to be possible. Only on the C6602 not the C6603 because it has different lte basebands.

I researched hard before buying my 6606 and find it nit to work unfortunately,if u find a way let me know I'm still in my return period, lol but I've not really minded because I'm on the newest 4.2.2 firmware released yesterday, root, custom dual recovery, and solid lte,but that's my preference because I like stock roms better, the only thing I can't do is vanilla android or roms like Pac etc,but I understand it's nice to be able to unlock

Yeah on the C6602 u can enable lte option with flashing a C6603 rom. Basebands sadly can't the flashed to a different baseband. The C6602 has lte 4 and some others but never official lte like the Nexus 4. That has lte disabled but with some unofficial ways u can enable it. I am glad u understand. Trust me if I could I would flash lte baseband that will work in my C6603 for the USA. Sadly I can't.

I'm sorry it's early for me,so are you saying if I returned my 6606 And bought a unlocked 6602 from Sony that I could get hspa, and lte on t-mobile if so that's awesome, sorry for being so confused

Well what lte band uses t mobile? The C6602 could get lte 4. Because it has lte build in but disabled. U need to flash a C6603 ftf to it to make lte option be available. It seems to work but the speed supposed to be not as fast as it should be. Kinda like on the Nexus 4 lte worked but wasn't as powerful or fast as it should have been.

no. it depends on how you use the phone in my opinion. C6903 may have LTE radios, but you can turn them off by selecting WDMA/GSM in the options or GSM only. that way, LTE radio is not active, therefore having the same battery life. Also, i don't know if LTE eats more battery than HSDPA. never tried it. never will. lol.
P.S. I have C6903

The main difference between them is C6903 is LTE and could support 4G, but C6902 is +HSPA and just can support till 3G
But C6902 has more 3G antennas than C6903, and so it will be better if you wanna use 3G sim in the best way and best antenna signals
Have fun
regarding the firmware,
is the kernel different between them all (C6902/3/6)
or is all the same kernel, regardless

Have u got the sources for where it says that the kernels are the same?
I think the kernels or some components of the rom do have some small differences because you have to flash something extra on the c6902 to get custom roms to work on it.But the hardware is identical except for a different baseband modem(for LTE).

If you mean Writing Language, all Roms have the same languages for writing, and there's no difference between Roms in this case
But if you mean the Phone and Menus language, you can search how to add Arabic language to your phone
I saw something like this that did not need Root, but it was for Farsi language
Search Arabic "adding Arabic to Z1"
If there was no good title, search English

You can but don't.
Ask guys for 6902 ftf.
There are some differences in ETC folder and basebad files so that's risky.
Ask NUT, he'll help you.

I see very few roms that explicitly say that they support the US TMob C6606 phone but the different devices are almost identical. Can someone tell me what to expect in terms of compatibility if I try flashing roms from C6603 or C6616 to my C6606?
hope this helps
