Thank you very much for the FTF , so i can flash it on any country devices right? But why it's so big? more than 1 GB!
The C6603 roms works just as well as the C6602 roms on a C6602 .. So just pick a rom you like and flash it.

The bands, nothing more. C6603 is LTE version and C6602 is HSPA version, no matter if you flash a c6603 on a c6602 because the bands are hardware, you can change that

Yes, as the name says is GLOBAL, the size is because is stock firmware, the "Sony bloatware" is still there and those things makes the FTF bigger

I have a 6606 and I flashed a 6603 Spain. Everything worked as it should. I then flashed 6603 Belgium to the newest one .244 and its awesome. If you want to tether, you need to wipe data via the flashtool. You can still back-up/restore using Sony pc companion.

I followed the Instructions made sure I put the zip on internal memory not SD card.
So...what is the advantage of flashing another stock rom from another region. I dont understand the difference between the stock rom I allready have and the other various stock roms available here.

There are just 3variants samsung also have them but names them differently or sometimes same with different model number example S4 i.e i9500 & i9505
Anyways there are 3 variants i guess of XZ
C6602: Hspa+ model
C6603: lte model
C6606: tmobile version
You can flash any firmware on any device it will be just that you will miss functionality of lte if you flash c6602 etc i hope thats simple enough

C6903 ROMs are NOT usable with the C6902.
You need to get a ROM specific for the C6902.

Yes.
(There are small differences in radio hardware between the C6902 and the C6903, which is why the software is not exchangable)

I'm not familiar with the differences between the XZ models (I'm on a Sammy GS2 atm). But the fact that crossflashing works for the XZ, doesn't mean it will work for the XZ1; for example, I can't flash i9100g ROMs on my GS2, because even though they are the same model, the internals are different (though the GS2 example is an extreme case).
Of course you are free to try crossflashing the C6902/C6903. Perhaps you won't break much, but you'll probably won't have a working radio (in other words: no calls, no texts, no data). Or you might brick the device entirely.
Personally, with such an expensive device as the XZ1, I wouldn't risk it and stick to C6902 ROMs until we (=the community) know more about the devices.
As far as I know this thread hasn't been posted, but I'm really curious to the differences, thanks!

no. it depends on how you use the phone in my opinion. C6903 may have LTE radios, but you can turn them off by selecting WDMA/GSM in the options or GSM only. that way, LTE radio is not active, therefore having the same battery life. Also, i don't know if LTE eats more battery than HSDPA. never tried it. never will. lol.
P.S. I have C6903

The main difference between them is C6903 is LTE and could support 4G, but C6902 is +HSPA and just can support till 3G
But C6902 has more 3G antennas than C6903, and so it will be better if you wanna use 3G sim in the best way and best antenna signals
Have fun
regarding the firmware,
is the kernel different between them all (C6902/3/6)
or is all the same kernel, regardless

Have u got the sources for where it says that the kernels are the same?
I think the kernels or some components of the rom do have some small differences because you have to flash something extra on the c6902 to get custom roms to work on it.But the hardware is identical except for a different baseband modem(for LTE).

If you mean Writing Language, all Roms have the same languages for writing, and there's no difference between Roms in this case
But if you mean the Phone and Menus language, you can search how to add Arabic language to your phone
I saw something like this that did not need Root, but it was for Farsi language
Search Arabic "adding Arabic to Z1"
If there was no good title, search English

Im in In the Southern part of Africa and at some point i was running a UK ftf and Netherlands too. What i was never sure of though was the labeling of network coverage. As in here it is LTE but the UK ftf i was using would say 4G. Anyway point is ftf from other country would work.
