It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Installation
- First time flashing CM11 to your Galaxy Mini(Tass) (or coming from another ROM)?
Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
Reboot into Recovery using 2-button-combo
Do a Nandroid backup!
WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
Optionally install the Google Addon

In install info you said recovery with 3 button combo, but it's only 2. And you didn't mention that it needs CWM 6.4.0.5 or newer.

I think that it is very good ROM, but not every thing is so emazing like you can think)
So, there are some bugs like:
- sometimes online photos became not visible and people can see "emazing" white square.
- sometimes SD-card isn`t visible
- Dial buttons aren`t resized
- I tested some games. Only one of them runs on 4.4.2
- Lock screen shows not resized "time")
- Sometimes Wi-Fi turns off
- Sometimes Bluetooth isn`t working. It was impossible to send something from PC to phone
+ But it was possible to send something from mini to PC
+ Gallery works perfectly)
+ Brightness works good
+ GPRS-EDGE is fast
+ Music? I love this sound!)) really cool. Better than on CM 10.2
+ USB works (I tried it on Windows 8.1)
+Battery life: -5% every 3 hours (if not in use))

Home launcher & app drawer stayed in landscape mode, enabled screen rotations, everything else can be rotated (settings, apps, lockscreen...) but not home launcher & in app drawer...

I'm doing the same exact thing... btw to get camera you have to rename i it can't remet to something in can not remember what then place it in and it should work.

Its not a bug.. Its because of the optional addition of multitple user accounts.. 0= main user 1= extra user

I have been experimenting with the 10.1 preview version for about a week - and have to admit, while being a hardcore TabletUI user, this new interface grows on you - and I am really not looking for any kind of official tablet ui version, etc.
It's quick, I had very few issues even with the preview version - the emulated >0 desgination for the internal memory (due to the multi-user option) threw me for a loop at first, and I admit to reverting to stock and reflashing a couple of times before being told it was normal
Hats off to the CM Team, appreciate all the work put into these releases

Try flashing gapps-jb-picasa-20121011-signed.zip from the official gaaps page. This zip replaces Gallery2 with GoogleGallery (picasa gallery). I am not getting any errors. I have also performed a factory reset before moving on the CM10.1, so maybe that is the reason.

Note: The installation script for the replacement picasa gallery says it is for 4.1.2, but it also works with 4.2.1.

after having tried almost all roms (from 2.x to 4.x) for this wonderful phone, I decided to create one myself.
I know that my work is similar than the 100.1% Google Experience but, before I leave my Nexus S, I will share my ROM anyway (and I know that for some people it may seem "obsolete").

Both mega and box accounts asks for passwords here in my end. I've very much given up on the fact that my M200 won't get stock 4.1.2 OTA. Would love to try this though.

I finally downloaded it last night. Thanks! The 3rd link worked for me. Hmm, didn't realize I was using a lot of stuff not found on Stock 4.1.2. Gonna see if I could live without long press back to kill and volume wake for awhile. Just had my power button replaced a couple of weeks ago. Thanks again for posting.

First time installing CyanogenMod 10.2 to your Galaxy Tab 2, or coming from another ROM:
- Read the official wiki
- Make sure you're running official ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Copy GApps and CM10.2 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10.2 zip from internal SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from internal SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 10.2:

Yes you can flash P3100 version.
Problem is you have to modify a file to flash and once you flash you will have phone stuff.
keyboard AOSP does not work, just does not pass the initial screen to be able to configure
Do we use 4.2.2 gapps?

I am following the ARMv6 team's setup for rom zip. There is a folder called "extra" which contains not so useful apps, fonts etc.
Those who want to use them, just unzip the file, put the app/font etc u want to use inside the corresponding directory inside /system directory.
Then delete the extra folder and zip the files.
Flash the zip.
Profit ?

edit:i tested the rom for 30min and i found some little things like some resizing needed(screenshots)
and the camcorder is a little laggy,
the performance of the rom is from good to very good not even a feeling of lag, dunno after u install a bunch of apk
i think that if this will ever be aosp it'll work almost perfect

no cant do it..sources are too big 15gb ..my connection is too slow :/
