Hi,
I have a stock AT&T Galaxy Note 3 running Android 4.3. Starting November 30, I noticed that my data connection drops randomly. One second it will be active and working and another the 4G LTE logo will disappear from next to the signal bars. When this happens I have to go into settings > more networks > mobile networks, and the Mobile data box will be unchecked. I then recheck it and can use mobile data again. Sometimes the mobile data will disconnect immediately after checking the box, and sometimes it will stay on for a few hours. But it always disconnects.
I had juice defender installed but I uninstalled it hoping it would fix the problem but it didn't.
I have reset my APN Settings to default. Here is my Version information:
AP: N900AUCUBMJ5
CU: N900AUCUBMJ5
CSC: N900ATTBMJ5
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

I turned my Mobile Network (3g data) connection off for the night to conserve battery, and the next morning when I tried to connect again via the quick settings, it didn't connect.
Under settings it has the caption, "Connection Failed".
The network was working fine for ages prior to this, and on a few occasions, turning off Mobile Network for the night was fine.
I've tried resetting the phone and taking out the battery + SIM for a few minutes.
I've also tried re-entering APN settings with no luck.
I'm with Vodafone Australia, running the stock 2.3.3 virgin au rom.
Nobody else on vodafone is failing (relatively speaking )

Update:
It was a 3G widget messing everything up, thanks letmedanz
Any ideas?

Did you try wifi connection?
just wondering..
i am quite certain your problem is with the apn settings.
try deleting the existent apn and enter a new one. save it and try reconnecting...
though not very important, you could check for the port number to enter in the apn settings with vodafone.
also, if you are using any third party apn modification tools or even a simple 3G on-off widget, the settings do get wasted.
if you do, uninstall them, re-enter apn settings and try
I am having a ton of problems with my LG G4 h811.
Wifi will randomly turn on. I have to constantly turn it off.
Bluetooth sometimes randomly resets the connection to my car. this happens with no other phone ive ever connected.
All data connections will randomly disconnect and refuse to reconnect through a reset of the mobile data option or the airplane mode option. Only solution is a restart.
Also the mobile data connection seems to take longer to respond than my Galaxy S4. I play ingress and on the S4 hacking a portal will take no more than a second. On the G4 it has taken up to 10 seconds with full bars on 4gLTE
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried to reflash the latest modem? I've seen these issues before with a bad modem driver. Otherwise it might be hardware.
What modem and Android build do you currently have?
Is this been happening in the pass days (Data, calls) that's tmo having blackouts (google it you'll see) other than that are you LP or MM?
If you are MM how you upgraded?
I have Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920C 64GB running Marshmallow Baseband version N920CXXU2BPB7, and the Internet kept dropping, I would be going through Facebook and notice that posts' pictures don't show up, or no new posts are not coming up. This is for both Wifi and Data.
I went to: Settings, Mobile Networks, Network Mode. It was set to LTE/3G/2G (Auto Connect). I changed it to (3G Only). We don't have LTE or 4G in Egypt anyway. This seems to have fixed the Internet Drop issue on the Data side, I tested the phone for about an hour and the Data seems to be working fine, the Wifi still has the same issue.
HI guys, so i have this G4-H811 that is running the official t-mobile Android 6.0 2016-06-01 build. The problem is that after every few minutes the phone automatically turns on the data. Im being charged again and again for this. In 5.0 this was caused by an app called come.tmobile.pr.adapt. After updating to 6.0 this app no longer exists but still the problem persists. I have manually checked all apps in the App section in settings all of them say No Data Used under Data. As far as i can tell all apps are using Wifi. I have unchecked Switch to mobile data under Advanced Wifi Settings. But still after every few minutes my carrier tells me that the device connects to the LTE service. This is burning through my plan so any of u have any suggestions?
Hi, I have an S21 Ultra 5G, (SM-G998B)and I have problem about 1 month ago. When I am connected to a wifi network, icons 4g is turn on and mobile data stop work. Only way to turn on mobile data is restart phone. What is the problem? I try everething and hard reset but problem not solved. This happens almost every day once or twice
Not sure I understand....the phone will NOT use mobile data when on Wi-Fi. You can force it by going in developer mode and boost speed by using both, that is not the default though. ("Mobile data always active")
"Mobile data always active" is turn off but 4g icons is active in same time as wifi network. After that I turn off wifi and mobile data not work but 4g icons still turn on.
I found out what the problem. Every time after sharing the mobile network via hotspot, when I go to Sim manager and turn off Sim 2, both icons appear and the mobile internet stops working.
1. Turn on sharing mobile data (from sim 1) via hotspot. (sim1 and sim 2 active)
2. Turn off sharing data via hotspot
3. Connect to any wifi (after connect to wifi, only wifi icons appear)
4. Go to sim manager and turn off sim2.
5. After that, both icons (wifi and mobile data) appear and mobile internet stops working.
Does this happen to others?
