My signal bar always shows zero bars after installing cyanogenmod 10.1 I don't actually have no signal and it seems to be a visual bug. Any pointers or is this a normal thing to expect at this time?
Defintely not normal as I always had signal bars with every rom I loaded, custom or stock.
Although no bars are filled, is it indicating a complete loss of signal?
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It's normal. There's a lot of older 4.2 roms they don't work on.

Actually I had cm 10.1 in the past, it works fine.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
On your nexus or your atrix? And like I said a lot. Not all. Different build dates have It working.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
On my atrix. And I had it as up to date as possible ALWAYS. I checked for new builds every day until cm11 was out. Then my atrix broke lol
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Well I don't know how yours worked. It was a noted problem.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
The atrix isn't a consistent device. But I suggest the OP to do a completely clean install! That's what I always did and i never had problems with Cm.

Pleawe read the thread for the rom. I would assume you are running tquetski's cmcm 10.1. It is a known issue because he built it for miui so he did libskia mods but u should check there first before you start a new forum and waste peoples time.

Hello,
Im using an Atrix HD with 4.1.1
After update i noticed this issues.
First of all,
After rebooting the phone all the widgets are gone!! And i need to configure them to main screen. And after other reboot the widgets are gone again.
I use Swiftkey as my main keyboard and i set it up and then noticed that after rebooting the Atrix HD. The configuration is also gone!!! And i have to "activate" the keyboard in order to use it again.
Also... My signal is too low most of the time. 1 bar 2 bars.. i never seen full bars. I been around the city and no good signal at all. Also some times i want to place a phone call and i see a red triangle where the bars suppose to be.
Can someone please HELP!!!
Thanks!

Oh yeah? How would he fix it if he was rooted?
You know, in case someone else has the same issues.

If a new ROM would fix it, why can't he just do a factory reset?

Its just a bug. Mine does the same thing.

What about the signal?
He needs to switch the radio (or i'm wrong?), and we don't have any way to do that

The keyboard disappearing act is solved by uninstalling and then reinstalling said keyboard with TiBu.
Launcher widgets I dunno I use nova prime.

I found on various other posts that losing widgets after reboot is a bug in JB 4.1.1 that has to do with Play Store. And it only affects paid apps, not free ones. This affects all phones on 4.1.1, not just the Atrix HD.
Fixes are to wait for a 4.1.2 or 4.2 update, or install a free version of the app/widget. I tried this with the Business Calendar app and it worked.
Sent from my MB886 using xda app-developers app
well i tried the free app solution and is working.. its not the solution. but is something.
But my biggest concern is the poor signal.
I have my dads iPhone 5, my mom's One X and them are full signal and i only get 3-4 bars.
The issue is that the signal is always jumping 3 bars, 4 bars, no bars, red triangle.... 15 seconds.. and jumps to 4 bars, then 3 bars, then 2 bars, then triangle... no data no calls.... 30 seconds, and all time is like that... i took it apart, and all connectors with the antennas on the back parts like fine. i even place a small piece of tape below the connector and the golden connectors to increase the pressure on them.
What can i do?
Hey everybody I just need to hear your opinions on pacman ROM because i am thinking of getting it. So is it glitchy? is it heavy on the system since it has three roms in it? Are you happy with it? How is it with battery? Please post only if you are a previous user of Pacman or are using it now.

it doesn't have "three" roms in it. It's still one rom, they just take what they like from each and merge it with theirs. Same goes with AOKP, Carbon, Xylon, PA, CM and all of the other rom there is out there.
I like PA but have the last week been trying out PAC. And so far it's great. I'm on the may 16 nightly and yes, there are some glitches. But it's stable enough to be my daily driver so far

It's a rom, not a car..
Just flash it and see. If you don't like it revert to the backup of your current rom that you will have made prior to flashing the new one.
PAC is great. I only ever switched to a different ROM because long press home for recent doesn't work.
There are some glitches.. Long press home for recent doesn't work, Ribbons never used to work, it does now though so don't worry. Just little things like that.

Well I been using Pacman for a little over a month... Had been using CM for the past 2 years on any phone I had... And well... I have to admit, I like Pacman better because they have added all the extra features out there that individual roms have, and they managed to come together quite well...
Having said that, as far as stability is concerned... Since the night lies there are occasional reboots... But apart from that its pretty stable... If you stay on 22.1 then there was no reboot issue there...
I'm getting 5.5hours SOT with PAC and Franco M2...
Quite satisfied all around...

I am using PACman stable V22.0.0
I am using PACman rom now with a custome boot animation I downloaded with Rom Tool Box. I went to You Tube and saw a guy named Lee with Nexus4Root.com previewing PACman and some others that are all in one roms. One was JellyBAM which seems to be an anti-PACman rom. There is a notification sound default "Annoying" that is the Pacman theme music and then a gun shot and the Pacman dieing sound after. I thought that was funny. Then there was Toasted Marshmellow which seems to be nearly Identical to PACman rom. I settled on PACman because of it's customizations and mainly over the other roms because I like the Pacman theme. i have tried about half a dozen roms now mainly from Nexus4Root.coms list and then a page I found out about BAKED that one was pretty cool and you can get it from Goo Manager in the Play Store. In the end I wanted PACman because it is not all frilly and it still has the customizations of the three roms: Paranoid Android, AOKP, and CM.:highfive::cyclops:

Which phone is a better value to me? I need a stop gap phone until the Note 3 or some next gen phone.
The nexus 4:
Better SoC quad core s4 pro
Android 4.2.2
Better build quality
But dunno about the development their at the atrix hd

I prefer the build quality of the Atrix 10 fold. The nexus feels cheap and plasticy. And we have a steady stream of 4.2 roms coming now.

For now it is, once our devs get that 3.4 kernel working we'll be able to have all the roms the N4 has with little issues. As is we already almost can. Between us, RAZR, and Photon Q, there is only a small handful of devs and kangers.
Our biggest problem is no one stays long enough before they jump ship. I'll be here for the next year and a half minimum so there ya go (upgraded contract and received AHD in March). Even if I were to get a new phone I'd still keep up with PAC for us cause I'd use my AHD as a portable game system/mp3 player -- I plan on getting one of these in the next month (have to finish up this job we're on so I have the $$$). I should probably get a MAXX battery as well.
I'd go N4

Sent from my MB886 using xda app-developers app
N4 has good build quality IMHO. Very luxury feeling. Just the glass back will get micro scratches all over it from minimal use and it will shatter with the slightest bit of a drop.

I think he meant where is this steady stream of ROMs lol and I have to say In wouldn't get an atrix again if I could do it over , the battery life if horrible and for it being dual core and a gig of ram its slower then my Samsung focus but this is my first android device and I'm beginning to figure out how to properly use the OS.Just my two cents .

Especially now that I'm pretty much doing nightlies....sometime 2 PAC's a day. I plan on getting AOKP set up for possibly Youngunn2008 to start doing builds for us (its hard to do more than one rom and give both the time they deserve). We have CM10.1, PAC, Carbon, all from source, AOKP to come, PA Ports from Echo (will be source eventually). We've been unlocked for such a short time and our devs have made tons of progress. Give it a bit more time and I believe we'll soon have an epic phone. Kinks just gotta get unkinked.

I was going to pick up a Nexus 4 today. Held one in my hand and loved the look and feel of the device. But I realized that my Atrix HD was still a great phone that full filled my needs perfectly. So I'm slowly syncing some repositories on tethered sprint 4g from my gnex. When its finished I will hopefully be able to build something and add a bit more flavor to this nook HD section.
My question is, when building for this device are there any special precautions I need to take? Using an AOSP supported device for the last year has been so easy. Any tips will be much appreciated

My only source of internet connection is currently crap, no hope of uploading anything on Sprint 3g.
But so far, the only bug I've noticed that isn't apparent in verygreen's cm10.1 build is that brightness goes to max on screen rotation, otherwise it's all good to go.

I just bought this phone for a family member overseas and I want to make sure they have the best experience possible. I searched through all the ROMs and it doesn't seem like an there is an easy choice.
I saw a CleanROM thread which seemed to promise what I want, but it looks like the rom was pulled and there is all sort of weirdness going on there (dead fathers and other weird ****).
I look at CM10.1 by epinter, but the "alpha" branding and the bluetooth audio issue is scaring me a little bit.
What recommendations do you guys have? Do you guys think I should just leave the phone the way it is?
