Unable tot shutdown mysterieuze z1 - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

If i choose to shutdown my phone it goes into a boot loop.
Only way to shut it down is to use power and volume button.
Had this problem on pure stock and still on doom kernel v4.
Even choosing shutdown from recovery goes to boot loop.
Really hope someone can help.

Solution....
Reflash ICS's rom....
How?
1 - Hold the power button and the volume -, when vibrate, release the power button but hold the volume.
2 - Now, you're in Fast Boot.
3 - Download RSD Lite and ICS's rom http://sbf.droid-developers.org/smi/list.php
4 - Reflash using RSD Lite.
5 - When done, you need unbrick your device. Use this tuto: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184877
6 - Now, you're in ICS and can upgrade to Jelly Bean =D
CAUTION!!!
PS: Im don't blame them for any damage caused in your device!!

I have the same problem. However i just cant get in to fastboot mode so there's no way of flashing back any other firmware.
I am trying to go in to fastboot by holding volume up button and power button together but it just bootloops to the WARNING BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED screen over and over again.
I have also tried by holding volume down button and power button together but that just restarts the phone.
All help will be appriciated....
You pushing vol down, then push also power and wait, when green led disappear relase only power button you will get fastboot. You must relase power button as fast as green led disappear!!

Hard reset

Hei
How do i reset my phone to factory mode? Installing the firmware on new. I have to remove my root and custom roms/mods.
Thank you!
Help please!
I have removed my rom with an accident, and now my phone wont boot, stuck at "SONY" logo. Can i use odin? and where do i find the firmware for my phone??
Press and hold power+vol up for more than 5 sec, until device vibrates 3 times for turn off. Now you can use flash tool or sony update services to install new fw.

[I9001] Phone stuck in bootloop

I don't know how the issue started. I have been using CM10 for almost 2 months without issues. I restarted the phone and boom! It was stuck in a bootloop with that boot animation keeping appearing all the time. I tried a factory reset, flashing the ROM again, flashing another ROM, and even flashing the stock ROM with all the images using ODIN. It was still stuck on the boot animation. I was surprised that the last solution didn't work because everytime I did it, the phone recovered from the bootloop.
I can still enter into download and recovery mode.

Samsung GT-I9000 boot into recovery mode after pressing the power button
Not sure it is the same problem or not, but my phone (Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000) keeps booting into recovery mode everytime I turn on the phone by pressing the power button. I tried to root with the stock PIT file and stock ROM or CWM recovery and stock ROM or any customized ROM, such as CMD 10.1, but it still boots into the recovery mode every time I turn on the phone WITHOUT using any combo keys, e.g. VOL down, Home and Power buttons).
The thing is that the recovery mode is not looping. Basically, after I press just the POWER button, the phone boots into the recovery mode and stay there.
Please help!
Many thanks!!!

Hey you are gonna want to flash a stock image using odin which will solve your problem. There should be a guide somewhere
My problem is solved, I had to go to "Mounts and storage" in recovery and choose "format /cache"

What you have to do is to flash the boot loader, I had the same exact problem and this solved it. But our devices are different so I don't think my boot loader will work on yours.

[Q] Z1 freezes when booting

Urgent. My Sony Z1 has rooted .681 version running fine for weeks. But trouble came today I tried to upgrade to .757. I had the flashable zip on the sd card, Booted into recovery mode then did a wipe and factory reset. Then in the installation process of .757, the phone reboots to SONY screen and freezes. I could only use Vol Up + Power button to turn it off. Then the next reboot, still freeze at the 1st second. It's been freezing for 15 minutes. It doesn't even vibrate at the SONY screen, so I cannot enter the XZDualRecovery mode. Please help.
The answer will no doubt be to flash a stock FTF using Flashtool. However, this is the Z section, so is the wrong place for your question.
The Z1 section is here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1
