Open up your settings, tap personalisation, tap theme, then tap the + at the top right
it should take you to all the themes you can download, if it just takes you to sony select without themes. open the multitasking and get rid of sony select and try again

I just upgraded from Froyo 1.0 to GingerCruzt 8.2 today since I been wanting to have the 4 corner home screen.
My question is how do I turn the 4 corner home screen on or something? I have been searching here for a while now.
GC8.2 dont have 4 corner launcher because it have arc launcher.....here you go 4 corner launcher..install it like ordinary app
Thanks! But for some reason when I reboot it suddenly return to the old style.
The LED Notification is buggy, it seems it only flashes when the screen if turn off but I like the ROM so I guess i'll just wait for another update.
Just press middle home button a choose your launcher and set it as default. Led works only when scren is off on all roms even on stock

Thank you
I have to express my amazement with how good the skin\launcher is compared to touchwiz it really feels more professional and elegant rather than a theme for a childs toy.
Anyone else feels the same?

Me too, the only thing I miss from TouchWiz is the alphabetic list in the apps drawer as it is much easier to navigate than pages of apps in all other launchers!

If you hit the button on the top right of the app drawer, there's options for organisation. Got mine on alphabetical, there's a few others too.

that's not what hes talking about.. know the s3 launcher? you can organize your apps to be a alphabetical LIST to scroll up and down, not pages to scroll right and left.
For me the Timescape skin is mostly why I went for a Sony phone over a Samsung because of the dark, elegant interface. It is a perfect business phone. Also I might be the only one here to arrange my apps in order of most used.

I just flashed 4.2.2 but widgets for lockscreen is not sufficient.is there more widgets for that?
As of now there are only limited widgets for the lockscreen.. Maybe some more would be added in the upcoming updates..

so there is no different from 4.1.2 cause widgets are useless
Sony don't make the lock screen widgets. You have to find apps that support the 4.2.2 lock screen.

That is true..but the downside is that we can put only one widget in one page..so if I want a small flashlight widget,it takes up one whole page to the left, and if I need any toggles..another page on the left..really annoying..isn't there any way u could put many widgets in just one page at the lockscreen?

I believe that you can only put one widget per screen on Nexus devices, so no surprise that it works the same here. Maybe try something like WidgetLocker.
Just install it like normal apk and replace existing. It works on my XV. What's new? Just see it for yourself

Main difference is a new app drawer with a side bar to adjust the apps display mode, and a link to Play. The widgets selector area is been increased in size. It's nothing really to write home about, but it's nice and works well.
Because it actually has an added positive feature, and not only a higher version number as is the case with most new introduced and ported apps, my opinion is: it is worthwhile.
I hate the Kit Kat quick settings notification bar pull down and want to revert to the jelly bean style. Specifically, I don't want to have to click an extra button to access my quick panels. Xposed mods don't seem to work to enable the right pull-down quick access. I actually downgraded back to jelly bean because of that reason… and gravity box not working. I can deal with gravity box, but I can't handle the notification quick settings. Is it just the settings.apk ? I don't think it would run in Kit Kat so I'm looking for some input... I searched on Google and XDA and have come up empty.

I'm not on stock, but in 4.4 , I'm pretty sure you can go right to the settings with a two finger pull down. I know this isn't exactly what you want, but just thought you might like to know

place your finger on the top right of the notification bar and hold it there for about a second. it'll automatically highlight the quicksettings and when you pull down then, you'll end up in the quickpanels
I hate all KK.
You can pull down with two fingers to automaticcaly go to quick settings. You can also place your finger on the right top corner to pull down the quick settings. I find it a big improvement because the clean notification menu and you can add more(16 now) quick settings!

I've noticed that if I touch right where the battery icon is before I pull down it pulls down the quick settings menu. Problem solved.
