Hi Guys/Gals
I appreciate that there are quite a few thread out there for softrbick solutions but some are a little dated and tbh i didn't want to do something that would further wreck my phone so i needed your guys expert advice.
Ive have a GT-N7000 (unrooted and with custom rom) and its softbricked its currently just booting to the Samsung screen (no triangle) and just stays like that.
Before this happened i was running Bam Andriod Jelly bean and wanted to update to Bam Andriod 2.0 (KitKat).
So i followed a video that showed how to install a "safe" CWM to enable me to install KitKat Custom rom from RootGalaxyNote
Once i re re-booted into the new CWM 3.0.4.5 i did a full factory wipe and then proceed to install the Bam Andriod 2.0, Installation went fine.
I restarted the phone......and thats went i started getting the loop.
I cant access the recovery now (vol up + power + Home bttn doesnt work) but i can access the download screen (vol down + power + Home bttn).
I would like to try and get the phone up and running before Christmas so all help will be appreciated peeps.
Step by step instructions would be even more appreciated.
Thanks.
I don't know how to flash bam ROM 2 safely but I'll tell you how to get out from the boot loop safely.
Using pc Odin you can flash stock firmware through the download mode ... mainly gingerbread to avoid the brick bug and root it and start allover again from there.
Use the instructions and software provided by Drketan on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997

Hello everybody
before i was using galaxy nexus .. so i have previous experience
yesterday i just rooted my note and everything working well
i was going to install CM10 but i read that i have to downgrade to GB so i followed a video
first problem: after downgrading and installing the rom as the video maker made .. i tried to boot the rom but it stucks at rocket bootloader for more that 20 minutes (i know for the first time it may takes long time to boot but not 20 minutes) i had a nap in this 20 minutes
second problem: i said that if it's not working i am going to install the stock kernal and run the CWM and install stock rom .. i just installed the kernal and rebooted then i was showing the text { galaxy note GT-N 7000 etc....) it was rebooting in the same screen of text .. i tried to get the recovery mode but i can't {volume up + Power button + Home button) but i can enter downloading mode (Volume down + Power button + Home button)
i need solution for the second problem and explain for my why the first problem was like that
my heart falls down in my stomach
Firstly, you can directly flash jb rom directly from ics..Its not necessary to downgrade to gb
And after downgrading to gb,you should have tried doing a factory reset
Now,again try flashing stock gb rom and if the process gets failed, then what is the error you get??

Good to hear:highfive:
Last night I was trying to update my Samsung Galaxy ACE S5830i to Jellybean. And I messed up. I followed the instructions from a forum, which asked me to root the phone by pressing Power+Volume UP+Home Key and then install the Jellybean from the memory card.
I did all that was told step by step I believe. But maybe the Jellybean software was corrupted or I messed up with some step, I don't know. And now the situation is that, there is no Android OS installed on the phone, the phone is stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i Logo, doesn't move further. I cannot even enter in the recovery mode by pressing Power+Volume UP+Home Keys combination. Tried everything from removing battery to SD Card, even waited for hours after pressing the combination for recovery mode. Nothing works
Now I don't know what to do I am not a technical person when it comes to playing with Android.
Any help with step by step explanation in simple words in this regards would be a relief.

Prior to deciding ongoing ahead with making huge alerations to your mobile phones software and functionality...arm yourself with some information!. That being said your phone can be recovered if you have a little patience, and read through the guides on the forums.
RESTORING
Firstly get yourself your mobile phones stock firmware either via http://www.sammobile.com or a programme called Fus Checker Downloader. (Search these forums or use google)
Get yourself a copy of the latest ODIN3 v 3.07 (Search these forums or use google)
Get yourself the SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones. (Search these forums or use google)
For restoring your original firmware follow this guide on section 3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840645)
ROOTING
For rooting follow this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551156)
Good luck and let us know if you encounter any problems.
If you tried to upgrade to Jellybean as in upgrade your version of Android then there is no known way of doing this on an S5830i and you may have installed an update that wasn't intended for your device, therefore bricking it in the process. A link to the instructions that you followed might help.
Whatever the case, you need to try and get your phone into download mode to reflash the original firmware. Press VolumeUp + VolumeDown + Power whilst the phone is switched off. Then press VolumeUp at the warning screen. Does that work? If it does you might be in luck, follow the unbrick tutorial here.
Bro we don't have ics how come jelly bean...u try to install stock rom through download mode using Odin. And later u can install any custom roms u want.

Hi,
I have Samsung Galaxy S I9000 running Ginger Bread.
I wanted to upgrade my phone to Ice Cream Sandwitch or Jelly Beans. In order to do it, I started with below steps to root my mobile.
1. Installed latest Clockwise Mode application into my phone.
2. Installed Odin3 v1.7 in my laptop.
3. Downloaded CF-Root-XX_XEU_JPY-v1.3-BusyBox-1.17.1.tar on my laptop.
4. Started Odin first.
5. Disconnected mobile and started in download mode with Volume Down + Home Button + Power Key.
5. After starting the download mode, connected mobile to laptop using the USB.
6. Keep all the default values in Odin3 i.e. Re-Partition option unchecked, Auto Reboot and F-Reset Time option enabled. Selected tar file CF-Root-XX_XEU_JPY-v1.3-BusyBox-1.17.1.tar in PDA option.
7. Connected mobile and it detected ID Comm [Highlighted in Yellow].
8. Finally click on Start button.
After starting the process was completed and Yellow color changed to Green one, phone was auto reboot.
But after reboot it is just stuck on start of screen and not going ahead. I wait for 2 hours but still not working.
Could you please help me how I can solve this issue now?
Did you try to pull battery out and restart the phone again?
Do you still can go in CWM with 3 button combo again?
If yes then try to flash a ICS or JB kernel (depending on what ROM you finally want to have on your phone) via CWM and then go in advanced and restart recovery (if available), otherwise just try to flash the rom.zip on top.
If CWM is not possible, the go in download mode an falsh a tar version of kernel via ODIN.
Here are different semaphore kernels for each android version:
http://78.46.194.137/downloads/gt-i9000-ics
http://www.semaphore.gr/downloads/gt-i9000-jb
For ics it should work after 1. flash, but for JB you have to flash it 2 or even 3 times, if after restart phone does not boot. Then battery out again, start in recovery and flash zip again.
Good luck and good success .
I think, at this position, installing a new gingerbread stock ROM will be preferable. Try installing XXJVU. Then root with cwm and install any slim bean version in case you are interested to use jelly bean.

Sure that will be the best way....but my suggestions do not take much time, so why not give them a try .
But if its not going, then a restock is the best you are right:
What I always do for restock is using slappys rescue kit.
Unzip it and flash the Rom via Odin. There is everything, also a txt file with a guide included.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29114573&postcount=2
If you want to have slim rom then its recommended to flash CM9 first or flash a modem afterwards via cvm, because slim does not have a modem included.
And/Or just follow the installation guides/recommendations from the single ROM Threads.
Thanks Guys for your help.
My issue is resolved with below post.

You are here in totally wrong section: this is a i9000 help thread section. Hopefully you didn't flash a i9000 rom, otherwise your phone is hard bricked.
tetakpatalked from Nexus 7 flo
Me 2: It was from low battery in my case
I had similar problem when rooting my Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone with Odin3. After rooting with a success message my phone was showing just the Samsung Logo each time I was trying to turn it on without loading OS. I googled and directed here and connected my phone to the charger as its mentioned in a link you provided which solved your problem. It turned on automatically after a few minutes while of charging and when turned on it was charged approximately 40%.
As I was very afraid my phone got serious harm at first I hope this maybe a sedative probability for duds really worry about what happened to their smartphone.

Hi,
I'm a newbie who has a Galaxy Note N7000, 4.0.3 with kernal LQ3.
I wanted to root and install a new room.
I downloaded "PhilZ-cwm6-XXLQ3-OXX-v3.99" and successfully installed it via my microSD-card.
Without booting my phone I by mistake installed "gapps-jb-20130301-signed" and it worked flawless as well, so I thought why not try install the ROM directly as well - without rebooting the phone hence I started the installation of "JellyBeer-v4.32-29062013-101059-n7000". This was made without choosing "wipe data/cache".
Everything seemed to work fine, and it was in the stage "installing".
Without noticing the screen turned black and I got panic and after 20 sec I removed the battery. Now the phone doesn't react on either the power button or recover mode. The screen just continues to stay black. Can see any indication once connected to the charger either....
Can you please help me with advises?
Can you enter the download mode (vol down + home + power). If you can, download one of the stock ROMs from sammobile.com and flash using PC ODIN. This should take you back to the stock ROM after which u can again root using the Philz kernel. And before flashing, please read the instructions carefully. You have to flash the ROM first after a data/cache wipe and then gapps (if needed).
Hi,
It dosen't seem to react to the download mode....
Is it possible to do something by entering the phone's hardware? Remove battery - for cache restore or similar?

Hi everyone. I have a rooted Galaxy Note 1. I accidentally tried to update something (the phone said there was an Android update or something) and now my phone in stuck in a bootloop showing the Android logo. When I try to reset it (volume+home+power buttons) it goes to an Odin "Downloading..." screen and gets stuck on that.
I've seen some stuff about unbricking the phone using Odin to return to the original stock rom. But from what I can tell, there are different stock roms available depending on your Country Sales Code (CSC). So apparently I need to look in Kies for my CSC to know which rom to download, but Kies doesn't recognise the phone, I guess because it's bricked. I know the phone is from the UK, but I don't know what network it came from (I bought it second hand). All I know is that it is unlocked now.
I have CWM.zip, CWM-SuperSU-v0.87.zip, and franco.Kernel-r5.zip on the micro SD card from when I was rooting it ages ago. Do these have anything to do with fixing it?
Any ideas on where I go from here? Thanks for your help.
Which volume button did you press ? You need volume up + home + power to get into recovery.
You can flash any rom from any region using odin.
Same problem
Hey,
Thanks for helping me in advance...
I used the Custom ROM (( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970626 )) Ultimate N7000 for a long time. However this build became more and more unstable the longer I used my phone.
So I decided to go back to STOCK.
So I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
And everything went well (Odin didnt give any errors)
However after reboot... the problem began... I cant turn my phone on anymore.... It seems to be stuck in a bootloop....
How can I fix this?? please help me
Which rom did you flash? If you flashed JB, boot into recovery and wipe data. Then reboot.
