hi! i've bought my xperia t today
it goes well! i've connect it to my pc, and pc companion find an update and ask me if i want to update my phone
i said yes, and it tried to install the upgrade, but about the 75% it gives me an error
and from this moment the screen of my phone turns on and off every 5seconds
with a black screen with the white sony's logo and the pc doesn't recognize him and no led turns on
after about 2hours the phone turns totaly off
i've tried to turn on with the power button and the volume down hold
and the red led flashes for 3 times
if i hold down the buttons while connecting to the usb or to the charger,
the red light stays on and after about 15min it turns in to green and a black screen with sony's logo appears for about 20 minutes
but no leds are on and if i plug it to the pc or to the charger nothing happens
sometimes if i hold down the 2 buttons when i plug it to the pc the led turns on green and the SUS recognize it
and tries to upgrade system but after a few minutes the phone seems to turn off and the upgrade fails
what i have to do? probably the phone needs to be charged before being upgraded
but if i plug it (at the pc or even at the charger) with the 2 buttons holded down the red led turns on but after 15min it turns green and the sony screen appears and freeze
if i plug it without holding down the buttons no leds turns on and i'm not sure if it's really charging or not...
any sugestion? thanks

But why did you try to upgrade a phone out of the box?
Oh well... My suggestion is to take it back to the shop. Tell them you bought it, connected to PC, followed the prompts to install PCCompanion and then it faulted.
Soon, we will get stock .ftf's posted here that you will be able to flash in flashtool, but that sounds like a bad phone. If the fault was staright from the box, take it back.

OK, but if there is a problem with the phone, no amount of flashing will repair a bad board or a bad chip....
I will post a stock vodafone UK .ftf here this weekend, then you should be able to flash that (Using flashtool, first post in the dev section) to repair your phone. But i do advise that if your phone id faulty from the box, its a hardware issue not software..

You need to turn on usb debugging. It's under settings/developer options. Should work after that. Good luck!
obviusly i can't turn in debug mode as the phone don't turns on!
after a night plugged to the charger (no leds on)
today the phone don't do nothing...
no flashing red led when i press any button or any sequence
only turn the red led when i hold down the 2 buttons and plug the usb or the charger
but when i release them all turns off....
Have you tried a factory reset? You should be able to do it via Android stock recovery and that might rollback the corrupt upgrade.
Worth a try.
first i need to discover what you're talking about...

Then attache the usb cable to phone WHILST pressing the volume up button on the handset (If that doesnt work try the volume down button)

At the start the phone went to flashmode as i hold the volume up button , and also the soft / hard reset gave me a vibration feedback , but for some reason i had to wait a night for test to flash the stock firmaware and when i woke up the day after the phone was in the situation that i described in the first post.
Do you advise me to put the phone in charge even if the phone don't give me a feedback when i plug the charger?
Hi Kidamundi,
I've the same issue. I've tried to update my cyanogenmod 10.2 yesterday. Now the phone is dead.
I've tried the reset (power and vol+ until 3 vibrations), then I've plugged in the charger over night but the phone won't charge.
Now I've blinking red light (2 times) if I press the powerbutton.
I've no idea where is the problem ...

reanimated
Hi,
I've reanimated my phone!
First of all I've charged my Phone, but it has only worked with the rubberband on the powerbutton. After 1 hour charging I've connected the phone to flashtool and have flashed an old stock rom. After flashing my phone has booted.
But still 1 problem I have. If its powered off the phone will not charge. No red light, no animation on the screen, nothing. I think its a problem with the kernel but I don't know it. Do you have an idea?
Regards,
Tom
my xperia v
i have the same issue with my xperia v. phone won't boot. whenever i hold the power button. red led light just blinks 2x/3x. i tried taking it to a service center and they said they have to change the lcd together with the whole base. which will cost me 12,000 pesos. i bought my phone for 12,400. so i think its really stupid to have the lcd replaced. i'm gonna try what you guys did and update you if this works. good luck to us guys.
ps: when i unlocked the bootloader it did a factory reset and i think what happened is it disabled usb debugging that's why it won't turn on.
sorry for the double post guys. i really wanna fix my phone. i left it charged for at least 1 hour. i used this program called update service. it actually detected my phone but it gave me this message that reads "the phone contains modified software that cannot be updated" does my phone still have a chance? ):

i tried that. but this will only work if usb debugging is enabled. after i unlocked my bootloader. my phone restarted and it did a factory data wipe. it slipped my mind that usb debugging was disabled again.
"For flashtool, Unknown Sources and Debugging must be checked in phone settings"
Turn your phone off. Open flashtool and press BLU. Then go into flashmode (volume up while plugging usb in). You do not need usb debugging to unlock/relock bootloader via flashtool

i dunno why but it is telling me that in able to relock the bootloader. usb debugging has to be enabled.
USB DEBUGGING DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ENABLED. Just press BLU then enter flash mode. Simple as that

it won't work if usb debugging is disabled
It will always say that message. Just unplug and start your phone. Usb debugging is only used if you want to root or automatically restart into fasboot

Red light blinking is because your phone voltage is less than can running kernel and charging program. You need like a car put together a battery
I dit it after trying all button, software, etc rescue.
I connect my old HTC desire battery to the Xperia with the usb charger connected.

Try disconnecting your battery and reconnecting. This should work

Brick after format microSD by CWM
Before few days I successfully managed to gain root access, unlock the bootloader, and finally install a functional CyanogenMod ( 10.2.0 stable) on my Xperia V.
(after one softbrick, when I learned how to use flashtool and fastboot).
Yesterday I was install in to the phone a new 32 gigabytes SD card, but Total Commander file manager in the phone didn't show contents. I decided to format this microSD. The mistake was probably that I used to format ClockWord mod in the the phone. Twice times I check whether I will formated external microSD. And I format it to the default format. After format I confirmed the fix root privileges (I put YES) and then just reboot.
However didn't reboot phone and no reaction, no led or vibrations. Bricked.
I take SIM, microSD and battery from phone.
After instalation battery back, my brick "symptomes" are same like Kidamundi and others:
-if i try to turn on the phone the red led blink 2 times, pause, 2 times, pause, etc (no vibrations)..
-if i try to push the buttons for soft/hard reset the red led blink 2 times, pause, 2 times, pause, etc (no vibrations)..
-if i connect to the pc and try flashtool, answer is "USB connection is not in Debugging mode, Device disconected",
-if i connect to the pc and try fastboot, "waiting for device"-if i connect to the pc no response even if i try to hold the voume up button during the connection( i tried also with flashtool)
-if i try to connect the phone with flashtool opened ,and i press power button the red light still on like 5-6 second and flashtool recognize the phone but as the red light turn off flashtool show "device disconnected".
Is relock bootloader safe way for me too (with succesfull Cyanogenmod before bricking)?
And which is next step after relock booatloader?
I tried to explain the problem as better i can, and sorry for my english. Thank you.

I had no echos from flahtool and fastboot. Service confirm hardware issue. I have hard brick, but relation with my Cyanogenmodding is unsure, inconclusive. I'll try complaint procedure.
Guys,
I flashed a stock kernel (.207) through fastboot for relocking bootloader.. I was on CM 10.2 (FXP)
I was planning to flash .207 stock through flashmode after relocking BL
But the phone continuosly bootloops. It does not stay in fastboot or flashmode for more than 2 secs, so I cant flash the original kernel of CM 10.2
Also, pc says USB device not recognized when I connect in fastboot or flashmode,I have installed all the drivers also.
Please help me out guys, its urgent..
SOLVED:
Tried this method:
"You mean the problem you were facing is, it keeps on bootlooping even you turn it off via yellow button(off button at the back).then you need to do this. First, ready the flash tool ( until it it prompts to connect the phone.) Then open the back cover, you need a stick or a ballpen to be a tool for pressing the button, then put the pen in standing posistion(the tip's up) hold your phone, place the yellow button against the tip of the pen, press the volume down(if im not mistaken for the flashmode). If you follow me right, you will notice that if you push your phone down, the tip of the pen will trigger the button.. Then ready your usb data cable using your other hand but dont insert it in this point... Now press your phone down until it turn off. Hold and press the volume down(dont release it until you see the green light. Count to five so the movements will sync, after 5 release the pen and immediately attach the cable. If your lucky enough, you can do this in first try."
IT WORKED!!! LIFE SAVER! thanks to Aljon!!
Uhm to relock the bootloader you need to install a Stock ROM via Flashtool.. No need to mess with fastboot mode etc etc..
You could try to reflash the boot.img from the FXP you used before.

try pc companion repair
nothing happened
i almost always flash without debug mode on. try to study tutorial one more time or try with other stock rom
As stated in title, I can't do ANYTHING using USB connection.
1. When trying to connect in fastboot mode, blue led lights up as usual but Windows says my device is broken and can't recogize it.
2. In flashmode, led lights up red and green immediately and PC also can't recogize it.
3. Doesn't charge, no reaction to charger when it's turned on.
4. When turned off and connected to charger led lights up red and green (the same as in flashmode)
Currently I'm running latest CarbonROM, no recovery nor root (can't install anything...). System itself works fine, but I might end up without battery in few hours . Any help would be really appericated. Thanks!
Edit: managed to install stock through EMMA Flashtool, but nothing has changed. Phone isn't recognized by PC, even ADB doesn't work
