Denise, my wife was a fun loving person but, for 2 years ago she got her psoriasis disease. It has broken out of one on the other day and no one knows why.
It has become so bad that they can barely walk. Her hands and fingers are affected. Depending on the load burst onto the finger and foot and start to bleed. Likewise, her complete head is affected and the psoriasis is partially 5mm thick.
It looks as if her head with a thick layer of stone coated.
She was already with many doctors and hospitals but nothing has help her.
The only thing that helps is our holiday in Spain by the sea. After the 2 weeks holiday, her skin looks so much better.
After we told them our doctor, he just said, "then they have to emigrate to Spain, if they want to get rid of their disease!"
It's really sad what the doctors say one instead of helping correct.
Of course we can not even emigrate just to Spain
For this reason, she remain only two possibilities:
1. longer make a holiday in Spain like 6 weeks
2. go to a special clinic, which is not covered by health insurance.
For both options, we do not have the money to do so.
I would like to send my wife to the special clinic, since it has focused on the psoriasis disease.
The cost of the stay in the hospital are about 4500 €.
For more Infos and Pictures look here.
If you want to help my wife and bring the fun loving person back, then donate something to support.

Hi Chris,
I have had psoriasis for 20 years now but for the last 2 years I have been able to keep it under control. My heart goes out to your wife who has a very sever case of psoriasis. I have had 2 extremely severe outbreaks in my life where it covered over 90% of my body, but thankfully I am in a lot better place now.
By the way my doctor told me to moved to a Mediterranean country too, and guess what... I did! But even though my skin did improve a small bit I still couldnt get it under control until I did the following
1. sorted out my diet
2. added some supplements to rectify my nutrient deficiencies
3. make a few minor changes to my lifestyle to control my stress levels.
anyways I have a psoriasis blog over at bestdietforpsoriasis dot com where you can find exactly the 8 steps I took to get my psoriasis under control. I hope it can offer some inspiration to you and Denise.
thanks for reading and happy new year.
Best Regards,
John Redfern

A Penny for a Cup of Rice
Me and my wife went to wet market this morning to buy something for tonight's dinner. After we bought everything I saw this "very" old woman crying and begging for help outside the market. She said "Maawa na kayo sa matanda, palimos po, hindi pa ako kumakain!" ("Please take pitty on this old woman, I am begging you, I haven't eaten anything yet!"). I got teary eyed seeing this old woman (thingking she's my grandama) begging for a penny so she can buy something to eat. I told my wife to buy some food so we can give it to the old woman. We did and I handed it to this old lady. I saw happiness in her eyes when I handed her a box of Dunkin Donuts, 1 big cup of Orange juice and 2 orders of rice (2 cups of cooked rice) with 1 order of viand (adobong baboy...Filipino pork dish). We went home with happiness in our heart. I hope our goverment will be more keen in helping this kind of people.
I acclaim you for this act of kindness. Just pitiful to see how so many places waste food when it can be given away to the needy. If you return something to McDonalds or any other restraunt because it doesn't "satisfty" your needs, they don't even think twice about what to do with the food; they simply open that trash can and say good bye.
Thank you. It breaks my heart seeing this kind of people, specially old ones which reminds me my loving Grandpa and Grandma...By the way, I did not post this just to let the world know that I helped somebody, I did this just to send out a message to everyone to help the one who is in need . And also, I took that picture secretly using a camera phone. I stood beside the old lady and discreetly took a picture of her.
You should see this video. Just the same with McDo, most of the restaurants here do the same thing.
its sad how some countrys governments or who ever is in power how they let this sort of thing happen in this day and age. and whats a penny to most of use its pocket change that you probably but in a tin because you dont want your pockets full of crap. but the big question is what could we do to help this sort of thing ? i bet if you gave her a job she would be one of the hardest workers there.
adam
honestly, indonesian beggar are worst than that,.
almost in every trafic light, we will always see one or two, very old beggar,.
Goverment, is a goverment, we cant tell something to them,.
but, i think we could do a better with our heart,.
We could give money or something that make them survive, just like what red_hanks did,.
This is just a personal rant, I have been going through hell lately and was wondering if anyone else out there could relate in some way.
Well, I don't know what to say about this month. Hell, even this year so far. I've got soo many things going wrong that I cant even keep track of it.
In short bad things keep happening and I don't know why.
In detail I haven't been working at Arabian since close to New Years because they run off the slow tourisim. And I hardly make enough at the cafe to pay my bills and have any bit of a social life. I've been broke as hell and that's never easy, but i've managed until lately. Just at the beginning of this month I started having a bit of a medical problem, though not life threatening (if infected it could be) it is debilitating, I can't sit for long periods of time, and I can't do much of anything at all really. The fact that I have had to lay here and not to anything is bad enough on its own. and to top it off I don't have any health insurance either. I have bounced around to 3 hospital ERs, 2 Walk in clinics, and even the Health Department itself. And most of them were of no help at all except making me more and more broke. They just kept telling me to go see someone else who wont see me, or wanted upwards of 3 or 4 thousand dollars in advance JUST to be seen.
On top of all that a bunch of little things keep happening that is really pissing me off, my car is dead and I don't know what is wrong with it yet (as I cant do anything.) My phone works only when it feels like it and my voicemail is messed up. my kitchen caught fire. and my dog ate something and isn't feeling the greatest either. The hospitals refuse to help me, and the specialist that I need refuses to even talk to me without insurance, which IF and only IF I get approved for medicaid I will be able to get anything done at all because regular insurance won't do a thing about it for a year to see a specialist.
On top of any of that I haven't seen any of my friends, or even my girlfriend in weeks. Needless to say this has been very very depressing and aggravating because I see no end to all of this madness. And I want to apologize in advance to anyone if I seem short tempered, snippy, or even anti social.
All in all this has been the worst month I think I have ever gone through.
Dude. Keep your chin up. I could quote endless aphorisms and such ("Darkest before the storm", etc.). But the reality is that life is full of ups and downs, and after you get through this session, you'll be due for a good long string of "ups."
Keep well.
I can feeel your pain. 3 wrecked my motard december 2008 and broke 6 bones in my foot. I dealt with a limp for 6 months before I could walk normal again. I am still fighting with the hospital as to why they never billed my insurance and still owe them money.
I got in trouble slightly with the law and had to walk to work (with a limp) for a few months in between.
October at work, someone had filled a tank with gasoline instead of diesel and it blew up underneath me when I was welding. I literally got blown across the shop and suffered a compound fractured ulna on my left arm. I had a surgery to repair the fracture with a titanium plate. A few days later for some unknown reason that plate broke, requiring another surgery with a larger, stainless steel plate. That got a staph infection under it and recently had surgery number three to remove the plate and scrape infected tissue off my bone. This last surgery left me with a partial nonunion on my ulna, requiring BMP application during surgery and a bone growth generator.
And now I have a PICC line in my arm and have to go sit through IV antibiotic therapy for 7 more weeks.
To top it all off I got laid off the day before my last surgery, and the money I have saved might not be enough to carry me through the tough times, as L&I time loss compensation is about half of my regular paycheck.
I say let her rip, because now 2009 can only look up from here! Gotta keep a good attitude towards life, its much healthier for your mind. I wish you luck man
shadowline, kdg67f;
i feel for you man! hope things get better for both of you,
but hey **** happens, look on the bright side of life
Wow rough. Shadowline, thanks for all your input in the android thread, it's been helpful, I don't know where else on the site you float around, but take a small comfort in the fact that you make a difference. :-D Sorry to hear you're in the pits for the moment, best wishes to everything looking up in the (near?) future.
kdj67f, don't know your name, but sorry to hear that and I hope you both get better soon.
Well y'all, according to FedEx, my Epic should arrive at my office sometime tomorrow - still torn as to if I made the right decision against the EVO, but I am banking on loving the hardwired keyboard once winter hits and all the capactive touchscreen only people find out how hard it is to type in the cold, to be happy with my decision - still not sure tho, ugh.
I wanted to write to thank everyone in this forum who helped keep my phone going well past its time. After replacing the housing, two touch screens, a new battery, several ROMs, and over 3 years its time to put this puppy to rest. I feel like I earned a new toy.
While I was never able to develop anything, I hope that my willingness to test things and give feedback while answering other people's problems from time to time was of service to the community.
So here is the deal... I am happy to gift this bad boy to any dev that is in need of a testing device. Although I am willing to give this to a developer, I would appreciate if they at least paid the shipping costs.
If there are any takers, let me know and we will try to work something out. If I have no takers, I will flash it back to winmo and try and sell it back under Sprint's trade-in deal.
Thanks again, everyone, for, as so many people have said, breathing new life into a device that probably should have left this earth a long long time ago.
One use I found for these...
I have a few of these, 2 I use, 1 for me, 1 for another family member.
Another one, I flashed some small build of Droid, downloaded eReader,
then downloaded a bunch of e-books for it.
Actually makes quite a nice little e-book viewer!
So this friend of mine, 17 year old girl, uses a keypad based Sony dumbphone with a broken call speaker (so she has to use full speaker to make calls) refuse to buy a new phone cause all the stores around here only sell Android/WM/iOS devices, and she hates touch screens, she's willing to spend up to 200 dollars on ebay to get a new phone of the same damn model from 2006, and states that "All smartphones are only good for, is Angry Birds"
I just find the arrogance frustrating and needed to get out some air, hehe
She has her preferences and you have your preferences, neither are wrong.
Let people enjoy what they enjoy

You know you can't change a women when there mind is stuck on something. Trust me on this,I work at a bar.
If I helped, give thanks, if you please.
........Death before dishonor........
Tbh i somewhat envy her: my passion for smartphones has probably made me waste a little part of my precious brain cells and for sure a great amount of time. God, i had to use a Nokia N70 for about 15 days while i was waiting for my GS2 and my Desire was already sold, and i cannot express with words the peace of mind i felt for a few days: at the beginning it was like living in hell, but after a while i left most of my compulsive phone habits (checking this and that every now and then) and i experienced a few days of true peace of mind. Ofc after a while you get bored, but man you should try that feeling at least once in your life before you throw some poor naive girl in the middle of this crazy world. Smartphones can become insane time vampires for some people, and that isn't always a good thing
let me see man
Give her a new phone for christmas. You ARE Justin Bieber's norwegian brother aren't you?
So,in Sept of last yr,i blew my L5 disc into my S1 at work(im a Directional Driller),whilst swinging a 14kg sledge hammer while breaking out 8" drill collars.
This happened on my 2 day of work, finished off my 14 day roster then flew home for my 2 weeks break, and the p#@cks "retrenched" me,saying there was no more work for our Rig(complete BS,still had enough work to see out this yr & most of next yr).
So now,me & the missus(part time teacher,2 days a week),are trying to survive on her little pay & my work cover payment.
We found out were having a bub in Sept, and she has a 7yr old from previous ex)
Im sort of at my wits end, money just goes,i still haven't been cleared for work(had back surgery 3 weeks ago,and still looking at at least another 3 months before i can even look for/look at work...has anyone else been in a situation like mine?I just don't know what to do,we've sold everything we can, sorted out credit cards, etc with my Retrenchment payout...
Just feeling depressed, angry, and hollow at the moment...Im trying to hang in there, but its getting harder everyday..
