[Q] Back to stock w/o backup - LG Optimus 2x

Hello,
Is it possible to go back to stock when I have not backed it up?
I am currently using Cyanogenmod 10.1, but I want to go back because the battery use is absolutely terrible.
The phone also charges really slow since I installed Cyanogenmod. (is this possible?)
android version: 4.2.2
Kernel version: [email protected]
Thank you

Install pengus77 or tonyp cm10 and you'll never want to go to stock.

Yes it is possible. Use smartflash to go back to stock rom.
You find everything (smartflash, drivers, stock roms) here https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B82zQdUvU4pJeW5rU1JzQVcwYUE&usp=sharing
Start smartflash.
Select ROM copy D/L tab.
For CP bin select the smaller file which ends in .fls.
For Ap bin select the larger file which ends in .bin.
Turn off the phone.
Press and hold the volume down when you connect the usb cable to your phone which is already connected to your pc.
Install drivers if didn't do it before.
Press start in smartflash.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app

I followed your steps(i've chosen the rom from 30 nov 2012) , but I can't click on start in smartflash it stays grey.
My phone gives the message: S/W Upgrade Please wait while upgrading...

The grey thing happens because you don't have the drivers installed.

It worked :good: thank you !
I hope my battery will be back to normal again.

I also had the problems you describe with the battery (slow charging and draining very fast). The problem was that I was using CM10.1 with the Old Bootloader. When I updated to the New Bootloader and flashed "tonyp - T-Build 05" (CM10.1), it started charging normally and battery usage is very very good. Try it and you won't regret.
You can also flash TheROM (CM10.2) because it is very good. The only problem is the bluetooth calling that isn't working (sending files and listening to music works). This is the only reason I don't use the TheROM (CM10.2)...

[GUIDE]One Click Return to Stock i9020t/23

This script returns to unrooted, factory state android 4.0.4.
1. Download this zip - Quicker download here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?pzrzrt3583rgbmf
2. Backup your phone (everything! sd, apps, games etc).
3. Plug in your phone, turn on USB debugging.
4. Unzip the downloaded files.
5. Open run.bat
6. Type in Y then press enter.
7. It does the rest.
Had to do this since i'm sending off my phone to samsung, basically used this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167819&highlight=unroot
and updated the images for 4.0.4 and for i9020t/23 (this won't work for nexus 4g or i9020a). It worked well for me so I thought someone else might find it useful.
If you're having problems it's probably because you haven't installed the windows drivers correctly, I can't really help you there (google it or something!)
If you want to thank anyone, go to the other thread and thank michaelpeerman. All credit goes to him.
Edit: By request, someone wanted the same thing but for 2.3.6, so here is the link for that
Edit: Someone else took over for jelly bean, found HERE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1807861&highlight=one+click

My understanding is that you require root to flash any ROM, this would be no exception. It wouldn't be that hard to root and then run the tool though.
But there'll be no problem rolling back to 2.3.6 from stock (rooted) 4.0.4?

Hi,
I got a really f******g problem with my NS. The power button is out of service. Thus my only aim is to get back to the unroot locked bootloader rom in order to send it to samsung.
I tried to do that manually with cmd.
I tried via Odin
I tried via your one click zip
I used my computer (the one i used to root it for the first time, guessing the drivers didn't change). Everytime, the command got stuck at 'waiting for device'. I thought it was a driver problem, tried to reinstall sdk, reinstall drivers. I'm still blocked at waiting for device.
I tried with another 'virgin' computer. I installed PDAnet to get drivers and make sure they work. (tried CMD or with your one click zip..) I'm still still stucked at waiting for device. However, my device do is recognised by both computers..4
Any idea?
Is my ****ing power button messing around?
Two days i'm drudging on this.. I'm thinking about suicide by now..

Sorry mate I really have no idea, maybe you could try calling up samsung and ask them if they would repair it even if you rooted? It is a developer phone and so they must understand that most people with a Nexus S root it..
I'm looking to sell my NS so wanted to get it back to stock and this script worked perfectly. Thanks so much!

How to get back your LG Optimus 2x SU660 to Original ROM (Korean Version)

Good Day SU660 Users,
I am a Kang's User but since Kang's Version has so many bugs specially HD Video Recorder, SD Cards and etc., I made an extensive research on how to get back from the Original ROM of Lg Optimus 2x SU660 Korean Version. So, here it is.
This thread will help you on how to flashback your Original ROM for SU660 Korean Version.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT YOUR PHONE MUST BE UPGRADED TO LATEST KANG'S VERSION BEFORE
MAKING THESE STEPS. IF YOUR PHONE IS ON 4.0.3 ICS, THEN, THIS PROCESS WILL GET ERROR.
1. Download the latest ROM for SU660 (Korean Version). Please click THIS to download. (Note: This is freakshare.com and expect for slow downloading speed. This downloading process will take 3 to 4 hours to download. But if you want to have faster download, just PM me.)
2. Extract the files from Step No. 1. Put this in C: Drive. You must have 2 files from extracted zip files, one is .fls file and the other one is .bin file.
3. Download the LG Mobile Drivers. Click THIS.
4. Run the LG Mobile Drivers (file from Step 3). Wait until it will say FINISH.
5. Download the SmartFlasher Tool for LG Optimus 2x. Please click THIS to download.
6. Run SmartFlasher Tool for LG Optimus 2x (file from Step 5)
7. In SmartFlasher Tool, select the 'ROM Copy D/L' tab. Ensure 'Normal Mode' is selected. Ensure 'Erase CAL' is NOT selected.
8. Under CP Bin, put the .fls file (from Step 2).
9. Under AP Bin, put the .bin file (from Step 2).
10. Turn off your SU660 device. Remove battery. Hold Volume Down while connecting your Device to your computer using USB Cable Wire. You should see a software update message on Phone Screen (S/W ...) and in the SmartFlasher Tool, the COM port and Communication Driver should be filled automatically. Be sure you comply, Step 3 and 4.
11. Click Start.
12. Wait for few minutes and be sure, that it says "Download Complete". I think, it will take 5 to 10 minutes to finish.
13. Wait for 20 seconds to remove the USB Cable.
14. Put back your Battery and ON your device. You will have now your LG Optimus 2x SU660 back with the latest version not the buggy one. Congratulations!
So, instead of paying the technician from $30.00 to $40.00 per job order, you can do it by yourself using Windows Computer (I used Windows 7 to flashback my phone).
I hope I help.
Regards,
Jose Rey
Thanks buddy,...
You saved my phone ~~~

Great! What applications did you downloaded from Android Market?
Actually, Korean has it own Applications through NATE.com. I don't know if this will complicate with Google Play.
I just observed that everytime I updated my Android, my phone get always rebooting after downloading some applications from it.
Well, maybe, these are just observations. Just keep observing your phone and tell us what issues you received after flashing back your phone to its original firmware.
Thanks Buddy.

Hi. Place this on your system/app folder and replace the original calendar.apk and calendar.odex
This is from P990 V20L.
I have a working LG Keyboard (english version) apk and necessary files if anyone is interested as well as AOSP Android MMS.apk that works perfectly for SU660 for 160-character texting.

Hi. I created a flashable zip file but I cant seem to upload it as an attachment here.
Anyway, here is the file:
http://www.mediafire.com/?ffaqmetu2jjrzed
You can install the zip file through CWM.
It replaces the V20M calendar to make it functional (deodexed), installs the AOSP MMS.apk (deodexed), and replaces the LG Keyboard with the international version and installs the necessary system/lib files to make it work in SU660.
I forgot to add a few parts in the script such as the removal of the SK Telecom bloatware but I can make a quick update soon.
I am also planning to edit the contacts.apk, framework-res.apk, and phone.apk to remove the NATE button and korean characters on the dialer and remove the korean characters while scrolling. I am also planning to remove the dualclock (seoul time) configuration on the lockscreen but it will take time because the .smali files for the APKs involved are a couple of thousand lines long.

[GUIDE] How to install Jelly Bean with no issues Thrill/Optimus

After countless hours figuring out how to do this (trial and error and constant bricking lol)
I decided to write this tutorial on how to get Jelly Bean to the LG Thrill/Optimus!! I know getting ICS/Jelly Bean is a pain in the a$$ (SERIOUSLY!!)
These were the steps I took to get it running on my phone (this may not work for everyone...)
If you follow each step carefully you will have JB on your thrill (it's not too hard )
Thanks to The Dark Lestat and xbsall and the rest of the XDA community
Now on with the tutorial
1. Before you start if you have anything important stored on you Internal SD card SAVE IT to your PC because everything will get erased and
UNINSTALL ALL LG DRIVERS and reboot your PC.
2. Go to the Resurrection Guide to Downgrade your phone back GB
download the tools xbsall suggest (download "WKPARKS omap4boot" "LGFlashTools" and download the recovery rom BOOTV21e.rar)
(If you're having issues setting up LG Flash Tool Go HERE and follow the installations steps)
3. Follow the rest of the Resurrection steps CAREFULLY and don't do the Extra step for p920 users just yet.
Now that you're on Gingerbread you'll have to flash a different KDZ to get things running right for Jelly Bean
5. Go HERE and download the LG Flash Package. (stay on that page)
6. Download V21D_00.kdz
I may upload the one I have because I know it's hard to find for some but if you know where you can download it PM me so I can post it in
this tutorial.
7. Follow the steps on that very page but don't uninstall the LG drivers (you did that already in the beginning). If you did the steps correctly you
should be on stock GB and you will have to format the Internal SD card.
8. When you get to Step 9 On your phone make that USB Debugging is enabled and your phone plugged to the PC then install the Megatron
root once that's finished then install ClockworkMod (NOT the touch version!)
9. Now download the CM10 of your choice and store it to the base of your SD card.... if you decide to go with the Cyanogen rom in most cases
you will have to download the GAPPS here (store that on the base of the
SD card as well) but if you go with with a custom rom (like PARANOID) gapps comes already installed in the rom itself. Just to be on the
safe side download GAPPS.
10. Boot into recovery WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET wipe cache partition and format system and then flash the CM10 and then GAPPS then
restart your phone.
OH NO!! MY PHONE IS BOOT LOOPING!! WHAT DO I DO???!!!
(lol don't worry this is what you do)
11. Go back to the Resurrection Guide and then scroll down to the
"Extra Step for P920 User's" and download the rebooter utility (extract it to somewhere easy for you to find) Then put again put your phone on download mode (using omap4boot)
double click ICSv21e_boot and Select "2" it automatically will install what you need...
12. Once finished restart your phone and ENJOY JELLY BEAN!!
Once again thanks to all that have helped me and others to get ICS/JB to our phones!!
just fyi there is no v21D_00.kdz, only 21E

Hello, good morning, I apologize for the Google translation XD, I have a N700 which only works well with android 2.3.6, when I install the official 4.0.1 or 4.1.2 works only for a moment and then locks , the screen freezes, forcing me to remove the battery, anyone has any idea that can be? those same files with other N700 update without problems, this device might have a hardware problem.
Good evening..how do you install it? using PC ODIN?

I'm too, excactly in the same case! But right now, when I come back in 2.3.6, the phones do the same thing, freeze and reboot all day, when calling, when in menu, when playing, etc...

if your rooted.. try to back up your apps and data with titanium back up (if not rooted just redownload all your apps)
try factory reset under 2.3.6..
then flash with 4.1.2.. see the difference..
do not do reset with 4.0.4 firmware.. too risky.. might cause your phone in a brick!!

When I come back on 2.3.6, I do in this order:
Factory reset
Flash on Odin the Firmware
Boot the phone
And do another Factory reset
But now, the problem don't desappear

same thing happens to me, and not to do, because it only works relatively well with 2.3.6? hard reset when 2.3.6 starts very slow for a while but not frozen as when in 4.1 or 4.0 :crying:

Note 4 SM-N910T that keeps getting stuck in a boot loop

So i purchased a Note 4 SM-N910T about a year ago. It worked fine but last month shortly after the 5.1.1 update I did it started randomly restarting for no reason. First i taught it was Snapchat because I red somewhere that there are camera problems, so I stopped using it. But it kept restarting even after that. From then I have made a factory and a master reset, rooted the phone and even installed CM 12. No mater what i do it keeps on restarting. The only way to get it out of the boot loop is to connect it to a charger that is not a fast charger. Then it starts charging and works normally and you can do everything normally. After you remove it from the charger it works as long as you do not use it. When you start using it and want to do something with it it starts restarting again. I hope somebody can help me fix this issue. I have noticed that connecting it to WIFI makes it 100% sure that it will restart any moment. If you leave it without WIFI as long as you do not do anything big it will not restart. For example I watched series on my phone I downloaded beforehand. I was able to go to the CM 12 file manager and change series for the duration of my bus drive and it has not reset yet and it has not been connected to a charger for around 12 hours already.
My last resort is to wait 3 hours for the stupid free 5.0.1 official firmware and flash it using the TWRP Recovery or Odin. If that does not work I would have t give it to a service. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Also a link to where I can download the 5.0.1 official firmware for free in normal speed will be of greatly appreciated as well!
Merry Christmas!
That's odd, I recommend odin flashing the stock ROM and everything. (Modem + bootloader) the latest one is DOK2 for T-Mobile

Do you have a link to where I could download that because all I found were sites where the free user speeds took 3 hours to download 1.5 GB?:crying:
Let me see if I can find one

To revive the thread I tried flashing the N910TUVU2DOK2_N910TTMB2DOK2_N910TUVU2DOK2_HOME.tar via Odin. It all went fine and after starting the phone it went on to the step where its optimizing apps. It got stuck there and it went back to the boot loop. I had reflash the CM 12 and TWRP Recovery and now I am back at 0. So my question is how should I flash the stock rom. Go to TWRP do a factory reset than turn the phone off and flash the stock rom via Odin? Should I also flash TWRP ans SuperSu after flashing the stock rom?
Thank you for your help!
I've been having the same problem for about a week and a half; it's super annoying. I was running Dynamic Pop on COG2 then yesterday I updated to DOK2 and flashed Maximum Overdrive... no improvement. It rarely even fully boots before freezing or rebooting.
My best guess as to what the problem is that it may be overheating because it tends to actually boot if I put it in the freezer while booting, but then it freezes soon after taking it out. I suppose it could also be internal memory corruption.
Either way, I'm getting ready to do a warranty exchange.

First focus on getting a clean stock firmware booted. Do what you mentioned above but don't flash TWRP or superSu until the stock ROM is stable. We need to narrow down the issues so do as few modifications as possible.

You may have messed up the partitions. There is a thread about the pit file you should check out.

I actually downloaded 2 stock roms for my Note 4. One was the COG2 and the other one was the completely stock firmware. I tried flashing them but Odin failed (Auth) whatever that means. The only stock rom I was able to flash was 5.1.1 but it wouldn't boot up so I had to install CM 12 again! I have no idea how to fix the phone. All I want is to return to 5.0.1 and delete any changes. The phone has no apps on it so i have nothing to loose but I do not know how to do it..

You cannot use 5.0.1 ROMs on DOK2 they will never boot and no down grading. You have to use 5.1.1 ROMs for now on.

This is exactly what is happening to my T-Mobile Note 4 (SM-N910T) and the thing that you did to your Canadian Note 4 is exactly what I want to do. But can I use the firmware you provided at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/general/ref-stock-firmware-kernel-modem-recovery-t2920452
or must I use the T-Mobile ones and if I have to use the N910T firmware where can I get it so I can do what you did? A link or a thread would be amazing cause I really miss using my phone as normal!
