What I did is I flash back the ROM via recovery, but no luck.same issue.then I flash stock firmware with flashtool, also same.andalso, after a successfully boot,my battery will drained around 45 to 50%. But it takes 10minutes to fully charge back.

Looks like we are having the same problem. I'm on 4.3 Commercial and Journalists released by @Androxyde , later in order to use TB, I reflash XZDualRecovery to gain root, then I first encounter serious battery drain, 70% to 8 % when I was on a trip, I don't took notice, later it promptly shut down when no SIM ERROR, shut down when launching camera. In order to fix the problem, I fully wipe the phone, use DISASTER RECOVERY to gain back stock recovery[DoomKernel v19] by @DooMLoRD. I flashed back stock recovery and relock bootloader using Flashtool, I successfully did everything back to 4.2.2 build 2.67, boot back into system though without root, later I notice there is no network signal, i try to launch camera but failed, I tried to charge it to 100% [complete], but instantly it shut off. Later stuck like yours. BootLoop problem. Now I am figuring it wasnt hardware problem. I tried to investigate anything. Inspect battery but Android tell me Battery health is good. So , I figure there is something wrong with kernel, especially chargemon.stock .:silly:

My Z also down now. But it's possible to get into fastboot mode and recovery mode. I drained my battery to 0 and then plug it into PC and it's possible to get into it. Try it out. But result is the same. It's like the kernel fighting back on its own to prevent cross platform launching.

Try flashing stock again.same result.shutdown itself again and again. I dont think its related to chargemon because i already flash stock firmware,as im aware if we flash stock ftf, chargemon will revert back to original right?

[Q] Shut Down When Idle V9.2~v9.3(DARKY's)

its happening all over again , i dont think it has to do with the rom but my fone will suddenly shutdown when idle, and it wont respond unless i remove battery and reinsert it back.
when the fone is turned on, the media scanning will be verrryyyy slow and the fone will be very laggg and when i leave it for scanning the fone started to heat up~!!!
never had this b4 since i bought it
i have to reflaash rom to fix it .
Happened since v9.2 and i thought MAYBE v9.3 wont have the problems but it does ~!
Anyone having this problem?
or iz my fone are ****** up?
You tried a complete reflash? (factory reset - stock fw)
Because if you've a heavy fold in system it isn't enough only to reflash the rom...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
thx for the reply though , i've factory resetted twice by now i think , b4 this never happen
but i didnt went to stock instead i go for darky's odin

So you did a factory reset and then install darkys rom, right?
So i would try factory reset again, flash the stock via odin (repartion on) and then flash darkys rom again.

okey will do
I also had this problem, I also assumed 9.3 would fix it, before installing 9.3 I even cleared data, system apps, factory reset it, formatted boot and every other option in the voodoo recovery menu that I could clear, then installed 9.3 but still I had it on first day, after that I noticed phone wouldn't respond half way through the day, id take it out of pocket and it wouldn't respond, had to take battery out, then when I got it back on, battery would have dropped by 40-50% , so I cleared battery stats after a full charge, then ran battery right down and fully charged again and haven't had a problem since, battery lasts longer too
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Last time the similar thing occured (hot phone, battery dropping quickly). Something (adb shell -> top) unknown was shown to have the CPU 100% busying. A manually kill cooled down the phone right away but i had no idea what caused that to happen : /
Darky should know the answers .
Best path would be to completely wipe the phone put a stock rom on to get it working . Then pick a rom that does not break your phone .

It's been a while since I've touched my S1. It's been a great journey with Darky's ROM. My English has also improved, I'm typing in full now. When I looked back at my first post, it was awkward and embarrassing to be honest.

HELP!!! A fairly complex rebooting issue

Here goes; Apologize for the new thread, but due to the complexity i am posting here, (And i couldn't find any issue with the same complexity)
I have been using the note with no issues till about 24 hours ago. However last night -- while i was asleep note battery drained from 100%-0 in like 4 hours.
I recharged in, and assuming that its a kernal issue (I was on ICS 4.0.4 with g-note core kernal)... i changed it to 6 from 6.1, and then upon release of 7 -- i upgraded. the battery dropped from like 15%-0 in no time. After recharging while on the same kernal -- signal started to drop while on calls (I didnt post on the kernal thread -- as i am not sure if it is related).
So i decided to reflash the rom, with safe wipe kernals.... I tried first gnote 3.10, CM9 RC2
then stock 4.0.4 LRG
Stock 4.0.3 LPA
and even gingerbread 2.3.6 LC1.. now i am on this with zero non-stock apps, no SD card, stock Rom with stock CSC.
Now the phone acts as below,
If not connected to power it reboots as soon as you start... After GT-7000 logo (sometimes i can see the bootanimation starting.)
If it is connected to power it fully boots.. and then switches off almost immediately. (boot animation flickers)
It lasts a while longer on recovery -- i was able to flash... and almost do a full back up.,
Download mode works fine and i have been able to flash via Odin as well.
phone says battery is fully charged!
*on the latest reboot --- battery showed at 1% (in andriod) and immediately rebooted. In the cahrging mode it says its full!!!
Any ideas whats going on? or any suggestions i can try???
Thanks in advance!
Have you wipe cache and wipe data on gb rom?
If not, go to recovery and wipe cache n data, and full charge n discharge once.

Thanks... I've already done the wipe on GB stock after install, and previously on speedmod... its on charge as we speak... full discharge could be difficult, as the phone wont stay on... any ideas?

Unfortunately the note doesn't react to the charger when the battery is removed which may have helped in eliminating a dud battery as a problem. Do you have access to another battery, at least in order to eliminate that side of things?

[Q] Another "Am I bricked?:

Hey guy's Im hoping you can help me.
Last night while browsing my phone froze, so i performed a battery pull and on putting it back in the phone refuses to boot.
If i plug thr charger in alone, the LED's blink orange/green
If i place a battery in the charging light turns on. I have two batteries so I tried them both. Still nothing.
I was able to boot into recovery and tried to clear the clash and do a full reset. upon reboot the phone stuck on the boot screen.
I tried a battery pull once again, and since that I have only been able to get the phone to boot once after numerous tries only to get 7 vibrations.
The power button still works, if i try turning it on while on charge the orange light goes out, but nothing.
Ive tried the battery trick while on the charger alone the green light goes on but again nothing, I've tried different chargers, I'm now at a loss.
While typing this IVe been able to get it to boot once again, but again i get 7 vibrations and nothing.
Any help would be appreciated, I have no phone, while my GNEX is being repaired under warranty
A noob question... you said that you do a full reset... Did you flash the rom again? (give more details.. rooted phone...hboot.. rom...)

full reset as in going into recovery and wiping everything, unfortunately, I have note been able to get back in since to try and reflash a new rom.
I'm currently running a stock hboot, with the last stable release of MIUI before MIUI4 cant remember the exact version number. The phone is rooted and locked.
Thanks for the swift response

Why don't you copy the miui zip onto your SD card, and flash it back from recovery? If you are running GB MIUI, the last version for that would be 2.3.30.

Agreed, I've preped my SDcard with a Passimg.zip. however I'm at a point where I cant get the phone to turn on constantly. since posting this morning. I've had no success - c'est la vie. I'm reluctantly thinking of moving on, however I really loved my N1 believe it or not it was much more reliable than my GNEX which is in under warranty repair for the 3rd time already!

[Q] help regarding 4.2.2 update

hi all,
I had an xperia Z with locked bootloader and no rooting or anything and was on 4.1
I downloaded the flash tool and downloaded the Taiwan generic ftf file and flashed it successfully after following the guide.
my question is did I lose my keys?
after a few days usage the phone battery behaves strange and battery is drained like hell. but I managed.
so just today battery was 0% so it shut down and I put it in charger without booting it.
I was going out after a while so I removed charged and opened normaly and it opened with battery 70%, after around 15 mins on facebook app it dropped to 0% and shut down and currently I have on charger again closed. so am I in trouble??
should I try another generic ftf?
if I connect to companion and press repair will it flash back the old 4.1 rom without losing keys if they are not lost?
thc for any help
Probably just a tiny bug. Repairing it would not jump back to 4.1.
Usually after an major update, in this case not really major but it takes time for the phone to adjust to the new changes.
Just repair it and see if it goes well if not after a few days just flash another ftf file.

thx dude but what about the drm keys I upgraded from stock to stock using flash tool with no playing in root or bootloader, are my drm keys still there? even if I repair?
Unlocking bootloader will affect your keys, you will lose them. Rooting does not. Flashing ftf files does not either.

Why does it work better rooted ?

Hi peeps.
I was rooted a while back. Had problems with phone freezing mostly when using camera.
Sooo i unrooted, relocked bootloader and then used the Sony update to repair. So ive been on .757 pure stock and i got more problems with that, touchscreen was weird from time to time. It rebooted once a day and it didnt matter wich task i was doing it seems (when rooted it only happened during use of camera and mostly AR effects). So now i became random reboots.
Well i rerooted now and now i can use the AOSP brower again(thank god for that) and most things i wanna have working are working. Havent tested it for that long yet when rerooted but keeping fingers crossed that it will work like it should. Possibly some random reboots wich i dunno whats causing them.
But isnt it strange.
I was wondering about something though. Scrolling seems not so smooth when rooted, but that might be placebo kicking in.
/Jonas
I was wrong It worked just as bad with rootaccess now. So I repaired the phone again with Sony update.
I just wanna get rid if this phone now, it gives me me a headache!!!

if you get reboots on Custom Roms with Custom Kernels, well, it's not strange to me, it happen many time, BUT if you get random reboots on Stock, then I will should be worry about it. For all the other reasons you have to have them less on stock, if you really still have all this issues then I will replace it via warranty. I heard some Xperias was not fixed with any Firmware.
Well that's just it. I have reboots on stock rom with stock kernel. Usually once every day. I can't get rid of it. I've repaired and repaired and it is still the same.
Here is the funny part, the warranty of the phone expired one month before I even bought it when I was in touch with Sony. I have abit of an argue with my retailer atm since he says it's software related. And im saying I wanna return it. And get either money back or a new working phone.

Reflash stock rom via flashtool. It sounds like your just repairing the device. Do factory reset and flash stock rom.do a back up first.

I am on .136 stock (4.3), no root, no unlocked bootloader... all works fine...I have read so many people complaining about newer updates to .681 or .757 .... I do not see any point updating to newer versions, as I am not missing anything major with .136

That isn't anything to do with rooting m8, how you flash your phone and what you flash onto your phone, the apps you use or don't use and your actual habits you have, these are some of the things which cause random reboots and problems for the most part, the other is bad luck and hardware issues.
Particular devices did have some rebooting issues, I myself haven't had one in a long time so i don't get them at all, whether i'm on a custom rom or an AOSP rom, I do get the occasional slow down but there isn't a phone out there or PC for that matter that never slows down at any time.
What I would say to do is to clean up your internal and external memory and download a tried and tested rom, lets say monxified 6.0.3
Go back to 534 and re-root, install a custom recovery and flash that bad boy (don't forget to perform a full wipe, factory, cache and dalvic) use a full FTF to fill in the blanks using flashtool (avoid flashing system and TA , exlude wiping with flashtool) Do not restore using recovery either.
Don't flash a custom kernel either, just let the system boot and see how it runs, install one or two apps (not a massive restoration using titanium) Avoid xposed for now and reboot the phone.
See if you can leave it like that for a while and see if you get any random reboots.
Do it by the numbers methodically and you should be fine
Good luck
How do I wipe everything with flashtool.
Last time I rooted I flashed 681 with flashtool. Had strange reboots then aswell.
Let me say this, I have unlocked the bootloader and I do not have backup on my TA. Wouldn't older roms then 681 mess up my phone? Bootloader is relocked with flashtool and I ain't rooted and I don't have CWM installed anymore.
So easiest way to clear the phone would then be? And I want to use Stable Sony rom.
Guide me step by step like if was a complete idiot

Yes, this is what I meant, just click on Wipe Data, Appslog and Cache. Still not a full format of your system partition but this is what it do to make a clean installation.
Well I did that a few days after I received my phone. I had the same problems back then. I actually did just that one hour before making this post aswell. Hoping it would work good, which it didn't.
If the phone would have been in my possession a little longer I would run it over with my car. Now it's quite new so I won't do that but I'm really tired of it and it's so boring have to send it to my retailer for repairs and w8 forever. Then when I get it back. I BET that they only will flash new software and test it for five min and ship it back and it will still have the same problem.
Been there done that alot of times with other things

I was thinking rolling back to 4.3 though to see if that would be more stable. Noticed that, if the phone don't reboot in a day wich it normally does then the touch is acting weird instead.
And last night I stopped it from rebooting, I pressed the power button to turn of screen when it frooze and that cancelled the reboot. But after that I noticed some apps with camera didn't work.
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Free mobile app
I think something like a Tool to format the entire system partition will be useful but in your case I think it will not help much.
Mega wipe Google it. Back up first as it'll nuke your memory.

Well now I have wiped the phone using cvm. And I flashed 4.3 instead hoping the phone will be stable. If it ain't it's going in the bin
I do miss the emoji keyboard, but that's about it. Know if it's possible to get that on 4.3?
Phone feels alot faster on 4.3, the camera reacts faster and tbh the pictures look better. No problems so far, hoping it will work. Battery time is also ALOT better!
