Data usage - Motorola Atrix HD

So I was wondering who is most data heavy on their phones. I know I am extremely data heavy ... This may seem low but I do tend to change ROMs a bit. The most for me is around 60 gbs in a single cycle

I'm about the same as I use my data for tethering as well with my laptop which I download lots of big crap. And Netflix also consume about 2gb of data per movie

What plans are you guys using? I don't pay for mine currently so that means my data is very limited. What are you paying for these unlimited plans?

[Q] A question to all T-Mobile USA Nexus users about mobile data

This month I started using my hotspot feature for all my home internet needs. Needless to say, I burned through 5 gigs in a few days. I remember that T-mobile announced that they were going to throttle anyone that passes through the 5 gigs for the reminder of the billing cycle. I got a text from T-mobile saying that i was going to be throttled but its been a week already and im still seeing the same speeds.
Does anyone know why i havent been throttled? I am using the dumbphone unlimited 10$ internet so im wondering if that has anything to do with it?
How do you burn 5 gigs with a dumb phone? I can barely go over 2 gigs and I'm using the n1 and I'm a heavy user too

Data Plans

Hey all,
I was looking into buying a Streak 7 but the data plans at tmobile are just terrible comparing to lets say verizon on a xoom or galaxy tab. I mean 30$ a month for 200mb where verizon gives 1gb for 20$. I guess my real question here is does this thing use a lot of data? or will 200mb be good for web browing/engadgeting? I can tether from my phone but the whole point of me buying said tablet is to avoid that.

Yes,web connect plans are kind of pricey on t-mobile. Hopefully that will change. I get the 5gb unlimited for 40 due to having a phone line also (20% discount). But they offer specials all the time too. I think its like that because they include free tmobile wifi hotspots as well.
you could always buy on upsubsidized through dell or amazon.

How to get the Droid 4 for FREE!!

Ok you guys are not going to believe this. Since my wife is a data hog doing 40 gigabytes a month they gave her a Droid 4. She was using a 3G LG Ally
They said they want to get the heavy users off of the 3G network. So as an incentive they are giving discounts to people that are heavy users with 3g phones to upgrade to 4G usually 100 off. My wife was an extreme case so they gave her the droid 4 for free. How backwards and awesome is that? So moral of the story.... be a data hog and get yourself a free 4G device. LOL
I am hearing rumors that they want to clear 3g for I phone users because Iphone will not be receiving 4g!! Yikes Stinks to be an apple lover!!
Ha! So that's why my account got flagged for $100 off with an early upgrade!
I got no such deal. I got mine for the $200

Since your in the U.S. And, on AT&T....
I'd recommend either
Straight Talk: 45$ a month unlimited talk/text however, they have nebulous TOS regarding their data limits. It's been discussed that you use about 2GB a month or 100MB a day without issue (being throttled or thrown off the network, with no refunds)
H20: 60$ unlimited talk/text/2GB data
Redpocket: 55$ unlimited talk/text/1GB data
Those are the ones that use AT&T's network and would be compatible with any locked (or unlocked) AT&T device.

I heard about Lightyear Wireless and from what I know, they offer Unlimited calling, texting, and internet (without caps) for only $59.99. No contract, no deposits, and no credit checks. From what I've learned also, they're using Sprint towers for their service and that would mean, no GSM phones.
They also have a referral program where you can get a FREE service if you use their service and refer 5 more customers to use the service as well.
Anyone tried this company before? Anybody knows the quality of their network?

If you can use your unlimited data plan on a phone, then there should be no issue on the Galaxy Camera. Essentially as far as data is concerned, it uses the same data traffic as a smartphone. You may be uploading more pictures, but if you are regularly connected to WiFi hotspots then you can minimise that usage too.
