That's a very low score to put it nicely. When I had this phone I usually got scores in the 2500 range. Again, many people frown on bench scores however if your score is way off from where it should be, then something is not right. By way off I'd call 1264 to be that.
Yeah that bench is low on a bad day! I can't wait to get oc on cm11. Maybe come taxes I might jump over to the gs2. Gs3 maybe..... Lol last experience with gs3 was not good.....

I got the same, but ran neocore and got 55.7, so go figure. FYI, most of these benchmark tests are really designed for the Snapdragons, not the Hummingbird. In actuality, we should be seeing scores similar to or better in Linpack, the 3D scores should be a hell of a lot better in Quadrant. So take these tests with a grain of salt. Back with my Captivate, I mainly used then to make sure Voodoo was working, if the overclock took, etc. But yes, we should be seeing more than 11 fps for sure.
Ah ok, yea i always knew quadrant as meant to be taken with a pinch of salt, but everyone seems to use it as the standard
I got 1394. Everything stock, and on 3G (I didn't realize wifi or 3G mattered).

I would say it isn't great. Real world perforamce is what matters but like I said above, these tests aren't measuring the potential of the Hummingbird.

Another example why Quadrant isn't a good benchmarking tool.
No it's not Gingerbread ready. If it was then the spinning planet would get 56 fps stable, just like it does on the Galaxy S.

Hey folks,
P-Funk asked me to take a look at the kernel source for the Zio and see what I could make of it.
I won't lie to you, its not pretty. However, determination usually prevails, and so I present you with a kernel, currently beta, with minimal support (I don't have a Zio).
Use at your own risk! I, nor anyone else is responsible for damage done from, or to your device. Your device may become unstable. Your cat may marry your dog, and your gerbil may elope with your daughter or son. This is not my fault.
Features
2.6.32.9 source built
overclocked to 748mhz
lowmemkiller driver patches and tweaks
Boots at stock 600mhz speed. You must use setcpu to overclock.
sdcard read speed tweak
init.d support
smartass and interactive governors.
bfq i/o scheduler added and set as default.
kernel is pre-rooted, and will start usb debugging by default.
swap support
Download URL:
http://www.multiupload.com/2GQA0JD1VS
How to install:
Download file, place on sdcard, boot clockwrok recovery and flash.
Please note: I am trying to upload source to a mercurial repo, but it is having issues. I have a trouble ticket in with bitbucket. The source is too big to upload to github for free. If I do not hear back from them, I will tarball the source and upload it that way.
Thanks:

OK I flashed the Kernel and I am stuck at the Kyocera splash screen. Dont understand why its not booting up.
For those that cannot boot this, SPz0 has a more stable version that he will be releasing with his rom.
729mhz seems to be the most stable clockspeed for this device.
for those that are wondering, the smartass governor eliminates the need for a "screen off" profile by automatically capping the CPU speed when the screen is off/phone goes to sleep.
More info.
Smartass will also cap the max frequency when sleeping to 352Mhz (or if your min frequency is higher than 352 – why?! – it will cap it to your min frequency). Lets take for example the 528/176 kernel, it will sleep at 352/176. No need for sleep profiles any more!

In other words, SetCPU would only be needed to OC (or use the Overclock widget, whatever floats your cookies).

Hey Adrynalyne:
Think I could grab an 800Mhz OC from you at some point? I really wanna push the boundaries of this cpu.
Just a straight step from 748 to 800Mhz would be sufficient.

All the cool kids have cricket
Cricket users are lucky to have any development, my roommates told me there wouldn't be any Dev's interested in the ZIO. I think the main issue you're encountering is any Dev who has the droid options available on sprint, is not going to choose the ZIO for their personal phone or development. You're best bet is to start reading like crazy and head the development of the sprint side of things yourself or upgrade to a phone that has active development.

On of my friends has miui running on his htc desire. As well all know both desire and milestone on stock roms does not have very good i/o. But on his desire with an ext3 partition had a beastly i/o. I mean really beastly. His i/o was the same as his processor score pushing the quadrant total way past 2000. So why is the i/o on miui so fast? Is it because of that i/o performance patch on miui? And can us milestone/droid users share the supercharged i/o love

First of all, Quadrant sucks. Let's start by clearing that up.
You can cheat, especially with the I/O score. Here is how:
http://www.androidcentral.com/how-cheat-android-benchmarks
Now, if you want scores:
With CM7 and 1GHz, I get 1000.
With CM6 and 1.1GHz I used to get 1450.
Nice cheat heh

Not sure why you think we're being closed minded? Some people post on here claiming battery life of 11+ hours, so 7 might not be that good, alternatively you might've just increased from 7 initially to 7.5 now. Wouldn't be worth my time, given the problems I've had flashing kernels before, if the increase was hardly noticeable.
Doesn't hurt to look into stuff a bit more before we flash something completely new with little info.
