download hboot 1.44 https://www.dropbox.com/s/uqe5y2iy7mjy0n6/orig_hboot_1.44.0000_M7_RUUmode.zip
and go to bootloader. Then write in fastboot "fastboot oem rebootRUU" without quotes.
When done write fastboot reboot-bootloader
Now download this RUU http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_...1-27_10-31-1131-05_release_310878_signed-exe/
Now start the RUU and phone will flash
Remember to flash stock recovery 2 if you need it

How about flashing the Firmware from this thread:

It seems OK as per the Image in the thread, it is safe to flash a firmware for a m7_UL on a M7_U phone. Mine is _U.

no, the official ruu cannot be S-OFFed. You need ARHD or any other Sense ROM. 31.6 is the best for S-OFF

well, both ruu.exe and .zip are flashed via fastboot, the difference is that the .exe version is doing it automatically. With the ruu.zip, you have to do it manually. So if your fastboot connection doesn't work, a ruu.exe will not help.
Don't know what you mean by Y-cable, the only way to flash a ruu is from fastboot.
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip name_of_ruu.zip
fastboot flash zip name_of_ruu.zip
fastboot reboot

so whats the problem? You have s-off, you can flash anything you want (for M7_U and M7_UL).
Just change your MID/CID to whatever ruu you want to flash.
use fastboot and adb from the command prompt instead of this toolkit and make sure you have latest adb verison.
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
fastboot reboot

Hi,
I wish my problem was this simple (meaning I wish I had S-OFF and superCID)...
I also have the HK model (MID: PN0740000, CID: HTC__622), but I'm S-ON (firewater whelp message). I wish to return to stock but have no backup (I know, stupid ignorant noob, didn;t read enough before modding) and RUU.exe for .708 doesn't seem to exist.
The only RUU I found is a zip for JB, same as you mentioned earlier, but it's encrypted and I can't downgrade anyway, being S-ON... Currently I'm running a stock de-odexed 5.11.401.10 from ARHD.

After a week of reading and searching, I found no solution and wanted to finally post my issue before talking to HTC. And I saw this thread, which describes my need.
If anyone has any ideas (withouth mean dev sarcasm, although deserved , they would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking putting up a reward
Thanks!
I have seen a topic about it, but the topic was not supported

One of the unexplainable problems i was facing when installing the latest stock ROM was that I was one 1.54 HBOOT and i just simply could not install the newer stock ROM.. could it be that HBOOT 1.57 is causing similar problems.. do you want to down grade to 1.56 and see if it works.. firmware - 4.19.401.9 should get you there..

I don't know but that's the problem when I have it and I'm not comfortable with it. (I buy the machine used )
I need to downgrade it to any RUU rom and then update OTA

here is the full path, I'm thinking that someone will need it (chrome browser and google translation to display language)
http://219.80.249.25/IMEIQuery/IMEIQuery.aspx?ct=zh-CN
I have an HTC m7, S-on, hboot 1.56, and the bootloader is unlocked. The phone was updating a few days ago via WIFI when it was removed from the access point, and of course the update failed mid way through because of this. The phone shows a htc phone with a red arrow in the middle of it. I'm able to boot into the os, but I can't log into the services to set up the phone and I encounter multiple errors. How exactly do I just flash another stock ATT ROM? I was going to flash the original update that failed through adb but I have no recovery to do so. I'm not sure what to do, any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks!
Anyone? I'm dying here lol.
No one has any clue to help me? I'm still stuck here.

since your phone is s-on, you can not flash the ota update manually. Anyway I don't think flashing the ota again could solve your issue. Looks like something got corrupted because the updated process aborted. There is a RUU that match your version you could use it to restore your phone back to stock. Using a RUU will wipe everything from your phone (like if it was brand new). make sure your bootload is locked or relocked.
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_...9_10-26-1718-01l_release_356565_signed_2-exe/
btw have you tried a simple factory reset? Might worth a try before using the ruu

Yes I've tried to factory reset through recovery and the phone options but it doesn't fix the problem. I will try your route.

It would be to your advantage to get s-off on your phone also before taking the 5.x.502 update. ... just use the bulletproof kernel and your stock rom (after the RUU and custom recovery and Root)
delete

There is no RUU you can flash on this phone unless you achieve s-off.
If you want a RUU to restore your phone back to stock for warrranty purpose, then you'll need to s-off and flash an older RUU.
If you don't need to return to stock for warranty purpose you can restore you phone using this nandroid backup: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95832962473396067

You need the 7.19.401.22 RUU or newer (7.19.401.31, 7.19.401.51). Look in the general section of this forum, you'll find a sticky thread with the correct RUUs and instructions how to flash it.

There is a 7.19.401.22 ruu, a 7.19.401.31 version (that one for S-OFF only) and a 7.19.401.51 version. I'm pretty sure of what I'm saying since I have uploaded these files myself.
Would recommend to use the 7.19.401.51 version which is the latest one or if you don't care downloading and installing 2 ota updates, just use the 7.19.401.22 version.
