Tinny / no-bass sound on headset from audio player but fine with calls

Hi
I'm getting tinny sound (no bass) on audio applications through my headset, if I do a hard reset everything fine.
Restore my SPB clone (push mail, all my apps) tinny sound again.
Interestingly, calls via the headset are lovely and bassy but any audio application playing files sounds really tinny and quiet.
I suspect the new version of Schapps advanced config myself as it seems to have started around the time I installed it and made my first change of some of the settings.
QUESTION: What settings in Schapps advanced config or Diamond Tweaks might I have missed? Are there any registry keys that I can delete to restore all the sound to default?

Work Around
Here's a workaround sourced from here:
2) Audio volume/quality. The audio quality via the headphones doesnt seem to have much bass and is quite tinny. Ive tried changing the Audio Booster app and it has little effect. Is the quality of audio really that bad? I dont think it was that bad with the first Diamond Touch I recieved (but had to send back!)
I had this problem - spent a good hour trying to work out why!!! Make sure that you shut down Media Player if you have it open and navigiate to the Home Screen - then Start / Programs / Audio Booster (make sure the headphones are plugged in whilst you do this). When Audio Booster opens uncheck the box to switch it off and then come out of it.
Go back to Media Player or the Touch Flow player and start playing your track (you should already notice a difference in sound quality). Then from the Menu in Touch Flow, select Audio Booster and switch it back on - hey presto, quality sound!
Even after flashing with the new HTC ROM I still find this to be a problem, but knowing how to solve it, it's not too much of a bind...

[Q] DSP Manager Settings not working?

Couldn't post in actual developer's forum sorry
I have the latest nightly for Cyanogenmod 10.1 at the moment and I've been trying to use DSP Manager's settings (bass boost, the equalizer etc.) and it seems like nothing is working. All I hear is a dirty bass sound muffling other sounds due to the built in boom sound. I tried shutting settings off and then turning them back on to see if there is a difference and there is none. Is there a fix or should I wait for something from the developers?
PS Sometimes the touch sounds goes from super low to super high randomly.

Sound effect stopped working

I just flashed my Z1 to 14.A.1.1.136 from 0.290.
Rooted and everything, I did play around with system files a bit (taken off permission from systemui overlay to merge HSPA indicator with the signal bar, shutter sound, etc.)
And all of the sudden, sound effect stopped working. I still can get access to the sound enhancement settings but ticking on and off with the settings wouldn't change any bit of the sound.
Yeah I can simply flash it back to 0.290 since I made the full backup but we all want to stick with the latest version eh?
Any help?
as far as i know
the effects ARE broken for externel speakers, but still working fine for headphones...

[Q] s5 Mini camera

I'm having problems finding the camera shutter sound work again. It was working fine and then it suddenly dissapeared. i have tried everything since check my general volume to use ultimate sound control ( rooted devce) and nothing seems to work. is there anything can try?

[HELP] Bluetooth not working for app sound but working fine for musics

When I connect my Bluetooth earphones to my XZ2, musics and videos play just fine.
But when it comes to eventful sound (e.g. notification sound, words reading out by clicking in dictionary app or Duolingo, sound effect in games etc. ), it doesn't work reliably. Sometimes it plays the sound, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it plays only part of the sound. And the sound level varies inspite of the same settings.
I am sure that the earphones are not broken as I tested them with my retired Nexus 6 and the above issue doesn't happen.
I also noted that every time I change the Bluetooth AVRCP version, the first eventful sound would be successfully played but the subsequent eventful sound will not be played. And I cannot change the Bluetooth audio codec from "Streaming: Disable optional codecs), it will automatically spring back after switching to other apps.
I would be thankful if anyone could shed some light on this issue.
